One of my personal tragedies is that when I was a kid, my family was going to move to Massachusetts. Something fell through because it ended up not happening, but we had packed up a good portion of the house.

Something that was lost in unpacking - and this is the tragedy - was a notebook of mine shaped like the yellow M&M that I drew Neopets in. There is truly nothing I’ve ever wanted back more than this notebook.

#this is the burning of the library of Alexandria for me #my sister insists that parents throw away a lot of their kids art and that our mom trashed it #and whereas I do think that’s true I don’t think my mom tossed it #because my parents held on the vast majority of my artwork once I got good #and I was pretty damn good at drawing neopets
