For a while I’ve been trying to articulate why XWP means so much to me, and I think I’ve figured it out. It seems to come from a bizzaro world where everything is just. Equal. It feels like a real feminist show because the women are so respected.

I realized this when watching episode 6 (or seven maybe?) there was a scene where Xena was imprisoned, feet chained to the floor and hands to the ceiling. A group of men came in with the express purpose to harm, and in a moment of clarity I realized that I didn’t fear for Xena in the way I did for every other female in fantasy. Fantasy (as a male dominated genre) is full of sexual violence towards women, often used as story beats or just shock. It permeates women’s real lives and bleeds into what they read for escapist fantasy. For a long time I’ve felt as if nowhere is truly safe, because most fantasy media eventually has a scene or two where a woman is violated, or a costume that’s glorified lingerie, and I have to remind myself that this genre was never made with women in mind. But that scene ended with Xena beating the shit out of them, because they tried to beat her. Not assault or grab, just punches and kicks, like men would fight in fantasy. And she fucking won because she’s Xena and she’s awesome.

Again, in many episodes men want her. But they’re never violent towards her. In the show she is treated like a man would be treated in any fantasy setting. With respect. That’s true escapism for me, some world where that kind of violence either doesn’t exist or isnt prevalent. A world so easy to make, and yet so often thrown aside because of “historical accuracy”. In fiction. The specifically not historically accurate genre where you can pull anything out of your ass and people just kinda have to vibe with that.

I’ve also mentioned this before, but it’s so rare in fantasy for women to be…carefree I guess? Most of them are jaded from past violence, or future survivors, or meek healers, or old wise women. None of which are very allowed to be silly like their male counterparts. They’re always serious, always the voice of reason. Always so reigned in from what male characters are allowed to be. Xena has a dark past, but she’s still kind. The story is still light. Women are allowed to be happy without being victimized.

XWP is fantasy first and foremost, and it works wonders. There are POC everywhere, and nobody calls attention to it because, well, that’s just how it is in Xena-land. There’s no sexual violence toward any strong women, because, well, that’s just how it is in Xena-land. People fight on bamboo poles and race chariots in rivers and the steaks only go up to “Ooooo she has to marry the big bad” which never goes anywhere because we all know Xena is gonna stop them.

Xena Warrior Princess is always gonna be my favorite fantasy show, because it’s fantasy that’s finally geared towards women. A fantasy where women are safe, are capable, are treated in the same regard as men with no quippy girl-power one-liners because nobody needs to quip about the status quo. In a genre where women are so often demeaned and violated for minor story beats or shock value, seeing a work that actually feeds into a more female fantasy is what I’m obsessed with. It’s wonderful to see a magical world where women don’t have to live in fear. Or they do, like because cyclops’s n shit but everybody else does that too.

PS: this mostly applies to modern fantasy. Tolkien and Lewis were two authors I grew up on who I largely blame for my fantasy obsession today.

I really share a lot of your sentiments, the frustrations and especially the grief regarding enstars— I'm a relatively new enstars fan, well if 2022 is still "new" and for so long I avoided the game because it seemed so massive, the kind that seemed almost too big to fail and would lsst years down the line. I was kind of the type that found old franchises years after their original creators had moved on or abandoned those projects.

This to say, I usually can't imagine how heartbreaking it is to have been a long-time fan of a franchise... but actually you've helped me understand it since I actually learnt a lot about Switch and the Eccentrics through your posts, and it probably started from the post you had about recommending some stories to an anon that helped me appreciate the unit in general. ( Seeing your comments after events was also a blast, I think you were one of the people I followed for a long time ? I've changed accounts and all often but I kept coming back for the art too <3 )

So I can't believe people would say that "we're just hating for the sake of hating" because it's very clear how much you love and appreciate enstars, and I think people forget that you can't feel betrayal for something you always hated, there had to have been love and trust— trust that was squashed away in that act.

It's really devastating to see that the Enstars that first drew me in is slowly changing into a whole different thing altogether, that the devs have decided that they don't value their most loyal and dedicated fans since they keep carelessly handling the idols we've grown attached to. When they keep reusing old schticks and tropes in one moment to appeal to older fans only to make some needless change to try and garner a newer audience. And it always seems like they keep gambling away any sort of coherency just to try and be hip with the younger generations even if most of their income is from young adults.

It's really just so jarring, and I get others trying to tnink positively or make light of the new situation but happy ele isn't even being subtle about it at all.

WAAAA it makes me so happy to hear i managed to have a positive impact on ur fandom experience!! q__q and im actually a somewhat "new" fan myself funnily enough! though maybe 2021 isnt new anymore... but the sole reason i even created this account is because at the time there was a huge lack of switch content, esp in the eng speaking fandom, and i really wanted people to love this unit as much as i did!!! i hadnt been consistently drawing for quite a while, but this drive got me out of that slump and made me try learning rendering (as id usually just do sketches)

i also just love gushing about little knickknacks i notice here and there, and it has genuinely been such a delight getting to share my thoughts with the fandom, even if i sometimes am most certainly reaching AJKSHDF BUT THAT WAS KINDA WHAT MADE IT SO FUN??? what i adored was how things would be implied but never outright said. how even things like the designs carry so much meaning. The symbolism of it all. but i just dont see any of this featured in the new stories.... at least for switch. And that really upsets me because everything about them had always genuinely felt so "magical." and a rule of magic is to not explain it or it ruins the mystic. If your text focuses too much on explaining why things are the way they are, it becomes purely informational and by proxy loses any and all magic and splendor.

anyway. ahem. ill leave my rant regarding the current writing state of enstars (aka specifically wish) for another day because theres genuinely so many contradictions in that story, even having dialogue WITHIN the story contradict ANOTHER dialogue within the story. Like you can tell that shit literally wasnt even proofread. but im saving my more elaborate thoughts on this story for when i read a full proper TL to ensure MTLs arent lying to me

but yea. another thing is how its so clear the reason theyre taking this sudden approach is to try and compete with project sekai/draw in that audience. a blatant example being esupuris very existence. But now you can also see it in the UI change, outfit customization looking the exact same as prsks, the airship park thing also looking like something ud find in prsk, etc etc. There has also been a sudden lack of care for established units, with them mixing and mashing so many charas together to release new songs that often have no grounds in canon. Just doing it for the sake of generating the hype shuffle units gave, not realizing part of what made shuffles so fun was seeing the characters interact with new people. and, since it was somewhat rare, it felt exciting every time it happened!! but i wish we got more unit content..... only getting one event per year is gonna stagnate so much growth......

i rambled on alot ok ill wrap it up now BUT!!!! i do wanna mention that i do still have SOOO many thoughts about so many things, and i notice new things every time i reread the older stories, and it fills me with as much joy as the first time i read them!! so if i can find a way to articulate myself id love to share my little findings with u all!! and, ofc, im still gonna draw the characters i love and adore!! despite my ramblings, im actually coping rather well with how enstars is. im surrounded by so many lovely people (including u guys here on tumblr!!) who make me feel less alone in my grievances, and that really helps me keep my head up high! plus, i have my friends who continue to discuss the things we adore about these guys together! the only downside is seeing others celebrate the current state of the game/defend it. its hard to believe they care alot about the game with how they talk. and artists are gonna continue to draw the new looks and such.... so i cant engage with the fandom like i used to. but thats ok i think.... ive bought fan comics to help cope with a lack of food!! would much rather support fellow artists than this company anyway!!!!

(however comma he actually thinks its really pretty and makes sure to tell you at EVERY possible moment even if ur not feeling too bad abt it at the moment)

he definitely does some sappy ass bullshit like staring into your eyes whenever he can

Dove - @whore4munagenius and i both had this on our list (twins). they had mentioned animal pet names like ladybug, dove, puppy, all of which i think phoebe would fw. i had it on my list because of the bird and dog metaphors and just bird symbolism in relationships like doves, lovebird, and swans. i think she loves the animal nicknames and uses them when it's just the two of you and she can be a little softer and more connected with you. it's not that she's embarassed by the names but it's not like she's gonna call you puppy or bunny at the dmv, ya know? I think she writes dove more than she says it, like she's putting 'to: dove, love: pheebs' on your birthday or holiday gifts.

Her and her dad were super close when she was little, and they are still very close now

when she was a teen, her and her mom had BEEF

nashi was just sick of having her tell her what to do

even though they had a rocky couple of years, they would still do magic lessons on wednesdays

before they go for their weekly lessons, they get coffee or tea at the local cafe that opened up down the street

they talk about books and how their week has been and general catch up since sometimes their schedules dont sync up

these two, even in nashis' teen years, they gossip to each other about stuff happening in the guildhall while the other was away

nashi also tells her mom everything shes been working on in her studies at FSI

lucy is always ecstatic since some of it is stuff that isnt public knowledge yet

luxy tries really hard to be a good mother to her kids and now that nashi isnt a kid anymore she sees how much work and love her mom gives to make their family happy

Neil

She low key thinks he's a babied brat

They "fight" a lot. mostly about trivial things, but it never gets serious. its mostly teasing

they dont throw hands often with eachother its mostly verbal

Lucy would ground them for fighting, and they would both be like "moooom >:( we were just having a little fun"

he breaks into her apartment several times a week to steal snack on the way to the guild

when he tries to set up a prank in her apartment maree catches him like 75% of the time

she just kinda backs away and doesn't snitch because she thinks it'll be funny

sometimes hed just break in to knock a drink off her counter and turn the lights off or just generally be a nuisance for a hot second then just leave

nashi never gave him a key. This guy just breaks in through her window.

he stays with them when his parents are on a long mission

not because he needs someone to watch him but because he gets bored in an empty house

they very much have the "only I'm allowed to be mean to my sibling" dynamic and will fight anyone who tries to break that

when they both were living under the same roof, it was incredibly chaotic but once she moved out he missed her a lot

Awase - i like to think he has a strong older sibling or somthn that inspired him to be a hero. His older sibling probably isnt a pro but he wants to make them proud.

Kamakiri - people with mutation quirks are often seen as scary or villainous and his personality doesn't really help his case but he wants to prove the people that think like that wrong

Kuroiro - he wanted to be cool. His entire personality is just him being a big dork that tries a little too hard to be edgy and cool. So I wouldent put it past him to become a hero on the prospect of wanting to be cool.

Kendo - shes always been the older sister/ protector type of person to everyone she met so becoming a hero simply matched her personality well.

Kodai - she just felt like being a hero would be something she would be good at. Yea she wants to save people and shes looked up to heros before but i dont think she would be trying as hard as she is if she didnt think she would make it far.

Komori - she wanted to be a hero for two reasons. 1. To make money because those cute dresses she buys are hella expensive. 2. To show off, not in like a mean or snarky way but she genuinely thinks her quirk is cool and wants other people to think its cool too <3

Shiozaki - she wants to save people. The world is full of all sorts of evil and she wants to bring peace of mind to the innocent. Its mostly because of her ideals.

Shishida - he gives me pristine rich boy vibes. He was probably told by his father or someone to either be a buisnessman or a pro hero and Shishida picked what he was more interested in lmao

Shoda - he wanted to be helpful. Hes to shy to be in the spotlight all that often but at the same time he wants to save a bunch of people. Thats why his quirk is perfect for him. It lets him help big time pros while staying in his introvert corner

Pony - because it looked fun. Thats it. She thought running around and fighting villains and saving people would be hella fun (and shes been having the time of her life so far at ua)

Tsubaraba - it probably started off as him becoming a pro to meet cute girls or smthn but he ends up actually having fun using his quirk and getting stronger.

Tetsutetsu - either he wants to be a hero because he essentially has the same backstory as kiri (becoming a hero wise i mean) or because a little kid (or elderly) he helped out once said hed be a great hero.

Tokage - she wants people to be happy. She believes in a life full of happiness is the true way people should live and its kinda hard to be happy when you arnt safe ya know.

Manga - its cannon that he became a pro because he loves kids and wants to make all the kids in the world smile. (I think thats also why his hero costume has so may colors)

Honenuki - he wants to travel the world. He became a hero for the funds and because pros already get to go to some other countries for missions. Seeing the world is a dream of his i think

Bondo - for reasoning similar to Kamakiri probably. He knows the world is full of an unfair bias against people with mutation quirks so he wants to bring a good light to people with those types of quirks <3

Monoma - he was bullied a lot as a kid because of his quirk and how it worked so he probably wants to be a hero to prove the people that bullied him wrong.

Reiko - she honestly thinks her quirk is cool and wants to see all the different ways it can be used. And most people cant do that unless they become a hero. But now she slowly wants to see just how strong she is.

Rin - he wants to protect people but more importantly he wants to be able to protect the people close to him. He wants his friends and family to know their safe by his side. <3

im about to go apeshit about the house burning scene and its possible symbolism, it punched my gut a lil too strong. dont wanna call this a theory, more like a review. but here's what i find. long ass shit btw.

what are they looking at?

i remember its mingi's scene first before yunho but that mingi's looking up and yunho's looking down, despite the lack of logic behind the torn down house and their respective set being burned altogether. i honestly thought the torn down house was the symbol of their "safe space" when they were beaten and broken by life, cus you know house is often associated with safety. but before it's burned it's already in a shabby state and was looking indecent, fragile.

meaning that the stigmatized "safe space" was probably not that "safe". being on their own and hiding their pain or anger alone might seem to be the best choice but was doing more harm than repair. so when yunho burned it, (i assume this cus he was looking at mingi in thAt scene, as if affirming.)

and in the lyrics itself theres yunho's line about "wanting to be the pouring light" and wanting to lean his head and rest his heart and hoping that mingi would look at him with a happy face. it just all fit in the pics. yunho looking down at him with a rather helpless look but mingi's slightly... hopeful to me?? curious?? as "the light" poured on him, his best friend.

yunho's like "i burn this house for us, for you. because you cant seem to find the beauty in your life and let this loneliness gnaw you instead. and i want you to know that youre also my pillar so, why dont we rely on each other instead of eating our own struggle? let's enjoy the present [time] together."

then mingi realizes yunho values him and embraces his flaws. in the uncertain time of youth when everything feels unforgiving, his best friend knows his struggle and tries to shed some light on him despite being flawed himself. notice that yunho's beaten as well, scarred and jagged, angry and sad. basically what this wants to say is to be the light to others l, you don't have to be a saint. just a willingness to walk, run, or sit together with them in all weathers.

while the first interpretation is written because i saw a visual parallel(?) between mingi's one and yunho's, this one might be more canon. they're looking either at the fire or their new selves outside burning the house, meaning their new selves are getting rid of their past doubts and struggle and choose to move forward. and there's a relief in their pained faces, as if they're finally being put to rest. like, "finally."

and then there's yunho asking for a validation from mingi? since he burned his "safe" haven cause he thought it's the only right thing to do? but also, was he feeling apologetic?

but mingi's unshaken, rather cold about the burning house. there's also a hint of longing due to a familiar place being taken away from him. maybe it's the best decision. and at the end, he only exchanged a look at yunho, like "now what?"

—supporting analysis

this might be the picture of what mingi felt like going through his youth. the running scenes take 3 parts of the mv: the beginning, the middle, the end. this one's in the middle when mingi realizes yunho isnt following him. sometimes, in your youth days, you'll be aware of your friend's existence and their personal life.

mingi might think that yunho's with him all the time but what if he also has his own life and goal? what if mingi is the only one feeling like he has a friend when yunho is probably not that really deep into this? what if this friendship is just a made up scenario in his head to cope?

we can also see the reference of how youth feels like to both mingi and yunho as performers (maybe). the dome-like structure with windows maybe symbolizes fans, media, and other people who can only perceive them through the glass. and only yungi who are full fleshed, can touch each other and are very real to each other.

then the glass shatters were pointing towards them. their audiences who only see their persona, might use that "glass" to hurt and judge them. to be idols at a young age, they feel like walking on a thin ice from the exposure.

ALTERNATIVELY. those glass pieces were the result of mingi breaking the mirror. so, the sharp pieces are actually flying outwards. this might also symbolize the possibility if yungi break their persona and just be themselves for the sake of freedom, they might make mistakes and hurt other people. see how the glasses being frozen and we couldnt quite tell to which direction its moving, like, im no einstein.

little irl insert. this scene hits too close to home cus i have a best friend who's chained to her sufferings too til now and all i could do is watch her through the window, the way yungi did. we both had the same childhood trauma ig but i was "freed" earlier than her and my eyes have seen through a lot of layers and angles.

and sometimes, i insist that her only way out is to "burn the house". burn the past and lets move forward, im running next to, just slightly behind you.

Absolutely you can!

Confidence is super cute but not having it consistently isnt any less cute you know what I mean? Confidence is so nice in a partner, Confidence in me, Confidence in themselves. Everyone has issues and I don't ever expect anyone to be confident all the time, hell I'm not confident MOST of the time. But I'm definitely enamored and happy when someone I'm friends with or involved with displays it.

The last time I felt broken huh? Good wording on that one because if it said when have you felt broken we'd have a loooong list on our hands. I'd say the most recent break was when one of my two dogs passed, if you're wondering the other is still with us, his littermate sister is spoiled rotten and loving life. When he passed just like every other dog I've had to bid goodbye too, it ripped through me to my core. I love too hard it seems and sadly its never been a good thing for me. I was traveling for work and wasn't there for him, my mom noticed he was super lethargic and took him from their home to an emergency vet, they found a large mass in him had popped and didn't give him a good prognosis, said he was in massive amounts of pain and that he wouldn't make it through the night. I sat up in a hotel and cried until there was nothing left. Hands balled into fist, unable to hold any tears back and sitting on the floor. I was mad at myself for not being there to hold him, mad i couldn't be there to help my family, I was mad at any and every diety I could think of that could possibly sit by and let these things happen. I was quiet for a long while after that just hurt and angry. It took me going home a week or two after to see my other dog to really heal. I still cry if I look at his pictures that i keep up in frames but the hurt is less now. Now I'm just sad I didn't have more time.

That's a tough one but at least it doesn't have me crying like the last one. I'm going to say no, because so much of "me" is being a joker or a goofball and someone that lightens the mood with laughter. Often times I end up laughing too until I'm red in the face, not breathing and waving my arms around in the hilarious panic when you can't stop laughing and you feel light headed. Now there are caveats, I've been with massively stoic people whom I had to work to get a smile out of and they are just as rewarding to be around as the ones who giggle or openly laugh. If someone was truly devoid of mirth I'm not sure I could be with them as again I love hard and knowing I couldn't bring them joy would probably kill me.

Sorry for the long winded response but it's late and if we have learned anything I get wordy at night.

okay, some of you guys really need to stop equating legality to justice, specially when talking about queer and trans rights. i mean this in the most light heart way possible, but your country having a president that isnt openly queerphobic doesnt mean you do not have to criticize him and hold him accountable for our issues.

im talking about the situation with my country rn, Brazil, we finally elected a better president after 4 years of that jerk, Jair Bolsonaro. he was an awful president, and extremely lgbtqphobic, the saddest thing is how his extreme right views have perpetued into our culture and there are still a lot of people who genuinely believe he was a great president. because of that, i was genuinely happy when our current president, Lula, got elected, he is somewhat left wing, he isnt a openly queerphobic person, so yay, a win for us.

majority of queer folks have voted for him and are still very positive about him, no problem with being positive, the problem is with doing so and not holding him accountable for our rights, specially trans rights. often times i notice cis queer people are way too comfortable to talk about those issues, this isnt good! and when i talk about his issues, i mean a few laws that have been passed by him and his lack of position on favour of queer people. he has passed a law on ID cards that is quite awful for trans people, and can even put then in dangerous situations, now IDs need to have the sex of a person and not only that but a social name, so, now a trans person has to ressort to putting a social name on their ID and their deadname will still be there. this is not helpful. he also passed a law against the use of gender neutral pronouns in schools, against teaching them, which is weird af. teaching those things can actually be so helpful for students to learn diversity, and it does no harm but to teach, thats why we have portuguese class.

i dont think lula has made the country better for queer people, not yet, for now we really need to hold him accountable. it is awesome to not have a extreme right president who clearly wanted us to go back to 64, but lula isnt perfect and has a lot of issues. ive been thinking a lot about that specially since a video i saw from a trans content creator i follow, It wasnt specifically about this issues but they were answearing a commentary from a cis follower. the person was talking about how he was upset that a trans woman that he knows didnt vote for either lula or bolsonaro, they tried to convice her but she didnt listen and they basically said they were sad that she as a trans women didnt vote to preserve their democracy. then, the content creator i follow -he is pretty cool i will name him here later for any person who speaks portuguese and may be interested: @mathvidalrosa on insta- said something that made me reflect on my views also, he talked about this so called democracy, and how it doesnt feel that way for many trans folks because their identities are marginalized and the legal system doesnt truly cares for them, their lives are at risk and this democracy doesnt care for them. really puts a question about privilege and which issues you plan on talking about, yes homophobia and transphobia is a recurring issue in our culture, but will we rely on the legal system or actually protest against those things?

"i like this character" vs "i care about this character" = just because a character is intriguing doesnt mean you necessarily care enough to see them again it doesnt necessarily mean you sympathize with them or want good things for them in fact sometimes you like a character specifically for how much you hate them and want them to die

"i like how this character is written" vs "i care about this character" = well written antagonists for example see above you can be a fan of how well their dialogue is written how their character arc gets resolved nicely you they interact with other characters in a way that seems pretty consistent with their characterization and not inherently like or care about them as a character

for me an example of a character i like who is poorly written who i dont care about is xorn from xmen i think there was a lot of potential there but the final reveal was atrocious and i dont want to see the character even again to the extent im not sure a retcon would even fix it

an example of a character i like but dont care about but who is (generally) written well is pixie shes cool i mostly just havent read much about her and she doesnt really light up my happy neurotransmitters much ya know???

"The Tsaritsas Painter"

Sumery: After the reader being exiled from their former art school the Tsaritsa takes a great interest in them becoming their painter for a eternity

Btw im sorry if there will be any spelling mistakes, since english isnt my first language!

Genere: Fluff, bit occ or occ in general, first impresions and how they realized they like you/how the relationship stars,light angst in la signoras part!

Characters included: Pantalone, Sandrone, Dottore, La Signora, Tartaglia.

Prologe

Reader was onese a respected art student and was considered one of the best in the region, heavenly praised for their talent and unique way of painting, executing and representing the final products message but after studying about the heavenly principles in Sumerus Academia they realized that the principles that they were made to follow and submit to were flawed and corrupt, resulting in them to represent that belief into their drawings and quote on quote ruining the art schools reputation resulting them getting banned from the art school that they studied in because on their controversial views of the heavenly principles and how they were against them, later on these "rumors" spread to Snezhnaya, wich lead to reader being commissioned by the Tsaritsa herself, not to create more of those paintings that brought nothing but chaos, but portraits, more specificly for the harbingers, knowing that because of their similar believes, they'll get along just fine.

Pantalone

First impressions/meeting:

Pantalone was the first one to getting his portrait because he didn't need to move around as much as the other harbingers, spending more time on filling in documents in the fatuis headquarters, the first time he saw reader it was when they were at their studio, tiding up the plase before he had to pose for his portrait and he was really happy to meet the troublemaking artist and in his nature he teased them about it, making pointless remarks just to start a convo with them (of course not having the intention to insult them, rather to start a convo with them about their interst, where they are from ect, just to get them more comfortable and let loose) By the end of the first section the two of you would have small talk while you paint, creating a nice comfortable environment for the bought of you.

How they realized they like you/How the relationship started:

Tbh it started of small, from caching you making small doodles of him during "important meetings" and of course teasingly commenting about it later, to admireing you working on his portrait, by the time you started to run out of supplies he would buy new ones for you with twice the quality, leaving small pouches with "a tiny bit" of mora alongside with a note saying to buy yourself something nice （^__^ ) and sometimes he would let you relax into his office when commissions and painting gets you overworked. It would be one of those days where you were burned out and while Pantalone was comforting you with his soothing voice, he let his confession slip hopping for his compliments and gifts to mean something more than just him being polite

Sandrone

First impressions/ meeting:

She really didn't have time for anything besides her work, she was always concentrated in the construction of her next machinery and other working on big progects, and having to pose for more than a hour at least onece a day didn't really excited her all that much seeing it as a waste of time and often felt frustration that she couldn't do something more productive, but after some time after getting familiar with your presence and the studio, she didn't held a grudge against you for that long, and she even started looking forward to the next painting section, now seeing it as a opportunity to take a break from her work and started to enjoy your company.

How they realized they like you/How the relationship started:

After the portrait was done, she yearned your presence even though at first Sandrone did everything to ignore it but atlas she found herself in your studio more oftentimes than she would like to admit, and after some time she would invite you over in her office so she can do something productive while still enjoying your company, she would ask you to review some of her beta designs on some of the machinery she worked on, asking what you liked, disliked, what would you change because to her you are the artist and have a better understanding on what looks more appealing. Sometimes you would be the one working on some of the beta designs and after they were done she would name them after you and that was a way of her saying that she genuinely likes you.

Dotore

First impressions/meeting:

Similar to Pantalone he was really excited to meet you, and whats a better way to introduce himself by showing off his office and all the questionable experiments hes working on, of course even though he wouldn't experiment on you (even if he wanted too) he still would be making jokes of you being his next patient to experiment on, but whenever he would pose for the portrait Dottore would admire the other creations on your studio genuinely interested whast the meaning and story behind them letting you ramble about them for hours on end.

How they realized they like you/How the relationship started:

He would send one or two of his clones to "borrow" some of your works in progres so whenever you would look out for them he would claim that he knows here they are, but he would tell you only give them to you, only if you accompany him from some time and that time being around a hour or so, or he would drag you to a meeting that he doesn't really feel like going so he can watch you draw on your sketchbook. Whenever he would have to go to a expedition Dottore always makes sure to buy exclusive vases, items, statues for them to be drawn by you, though sometimes he wishes if he could be the center of your new masterpieces.

La signora

First impressions:

Amused but impressed to say the leased, she would suddenly look and admire the way your hands flew acros the paper, sketching whenever you were uninterested in a meeting and it became a habit of hers to make sure you were sitting besides her so she could watch you draw, and always kept a loving and gentle look despite her judgmental personality.

How they realized they like you/How the relationship started:

The time she would realize that she saw you more than just entertainment its when you'd give her a small but genuine compliment while you were making her portrait, and for context she knows that she looks good but having someone say it with a sense of honesty and genuine intend, just made her heart warm, but also this sensation made her dizzy, she felt like she was drowning but in the best way possible, and from this day on Signora chased that rush you gave her, always wanting just a little more. And by that she frequently took you to walks on forbidden parts of Snezhnaya for you to take inspection, took you to expensive dinners to discuss "fatui related plans", etc. Before she had to go to Inazuma Signora gave you a gift, a companion, more specifically a fire moth made by her own hands to keep you company and she made a promise that shell come back as soon as possible. You realized that she was lying when the moth that she gave you, one day became nothing but dust.

Tartalia

First impressions/ meeting:

To be honest, similar to Sandrone, hes not that hyped about it since he travels a lot it would be more tiering to have another person with him but Childe didn't dare to exprese it, because he didn't want to make you fell uncomfortable or unwanted. Of course he wound be the one that decidet on a schedule that would be comfortable for the bought of you.

How they realized they like you/How the relationship started:

You two of you would spend time mostly in Liyue because of his packed schedule , and when he had free time he would insist to get you to dinner cuz " You most likely have been eating the same cheap food sience you joined that art school of yours and I might as well get you something good while you are here with me^^". Tbh at that moment you felt SO blessed cuz he was so damn right, in your first dinner together you mostly talked about surface level things because he wanted to let you eat in pease after not having a proper meal for ages. For the rest of the "dinners" he took you in, you mostly sketched and practiced his facial features for the portrait while he talked about adventures that he had with his siblings, latter on, you would most likely start commenting on some of his features that you havent noticed until that moment, and like the first time you casualy compliment him, he was in shock because hes so used to him being complented for his strength and battle skills basically hes being complimented for being a weapon for others to use, but when you complimented HIM and not hes capabilities, he felt his heart skipping a beat while hes face started going red, and from that moment on he doesn't think that you being alongside his isn't that bad after all.

He is holding onto me for dear life, and if he doesn't then I'll most definitely die.

Literally a fall from this height would most certainly be the death of my deadness, that's why I'm holding onto my wand for reassurance. Not that I don't trust Simon, which I realize I'm definitely gonna reconsider after today

Because moments ago he asked me if I trusted him, I did,

Even so I still trust him with my life, which says more about me because when Simon's involved I'm a hopeless fool.

Simons wings extended out in the night air and they glistened under the moon light. His arms tightly holding onto me. His wings flexed out as they motion through the air carrying both of us.

As tonight is the night of a super moon here in London, or I guess the outskirts of London. Gosh I actually have no clue where we are, and I drove halfway here. Simon and I alternated and I had him practice (he's getting really good at driving) and one thing led to another before I knew it he flew us up into the night sky to see the moon up close.

There are so many stars tonight. It reminded me of when he shared his magic, and I casted twinkle twinkle little star together in our dorm room at Watford. It feels like that moment, but better.

Simon doesn't have magic anymore but with him touching me like this, it feels like he's giving apart of himself to me. His warmth, his smile, his love. Which are even more magical. They are things I longed for since I figured out I was in love with him. My Younger self would be so jealous.

As I'm falling, I grip my wand about to cast something because of this ridiculous situation, what the heck would I even cast. Worst time for my brain not to work, and then Simon grabbed my arms, and his wing jolted, extending outwards.

His dragon wings were cutting through the air stopping my fall. We were still falling but it felt like it was in slow motion. It felt like (I) was flying.

The idiot was smiling from ear to ear. If I was breathless it was because this idiot took my breath away. He's brilliant.

We weren't falling from the night sky, Simon was gliding in the air like a bird. I guess he basically is a bird with his dragon wings.

I had my wand out just in case, but with Simon being immune to spells I'd be only able to save my arse. I could probably cast a spell were the ground is cushioned soft if something happens. But the way Simon is gripping onto me, I don't think he would let anything happen.

"How did you know you could do that" I ask, I'm still mad about him dropping me, but I can't stay mad at him, not right now.

Simon smiled " I saw a youtube video with Sheppard about a bird glidding, so I practiced. So we could do it together! tonight!"

Simon had actually planned this whole thing out and even practiced, he had mentioned the super moon last week and made sure I finished my class work so we could watch it together. I just would have never expected this, I never do know what to expect with Simon.

I know he's excited about this moon but, I'm only watching Simon.

This is a question about ASPD (and is in good-faith of pwASPD) and having zero remorse for hurting others. I have heard and understood the difference between guilt and remorse, and how pwASPD can feel guilt... but basically zero remorse because remorse requires affective empathy. But like, how would a pwASPD feel or react to like purposefully/accidentally hurting a loved one that they genuinely care about? What is the thought process and mindset going on? What are the feelings a pwASPD has or notices/can recognize that they have? I 100% do not think you need remorse or guilt to recognize that you made bad choices against yourself and/or others, and you can apologize and grow as a person without those sets of emotions. Just wanted to learn more and understand the disorder better. I am a cluster b, but I do not have ASPD and I want to try and understand the experiences of pwASPD in an unbiased and good-faith light.

i think like a lot of things it varies a lot person to person and depends a lot on ur other disorders and things for me, i have a lot of issues around abandonment and neglect, so often when i realize ive hurt a loved one i get a lot of anxiety that they will not forgive me and will punish me by leaving and neglecting me because thats what my parents would do whenever i displeased them. but not everyone with aspd has those issues and so not everyone struggles with that kind of anxiety

aside from that, i often will feel "bad" in a way thats difficult to describe, but its not really an emotional feeling. its more a "ah damn, i didnt want that to happen, now i have to fix it" kind of like when ur building ikea furniture and u realize u put a piece together wrong and now u have to take it apart and start over. i get a little frustrated and mad at myself, and also a bit annoyed at having to do so much extra work to fix it

but i will genuinely care that i hurt them because if i care about them, i want them to be happy. i view my relationships as long term investements. if i care about someone that means that they make me happy and i like being happy, so i want them to stay in my life as long as possible, and to do that, they need to be happy too. because if im not doing my part to keep our relationship healthy and am always just upsetting them and never apologizing properly or fixing things then they'll leave and i'll lose them and the happiness they bring me so i will want to make the situation right and apologize in a real lasting way because i dont want any of that to happen. i know that just slapping a "sorry" over it like a bandaid isnt a real solution, and so i care a lot about apologizing in a meaningful way that genuinely fixes the problem. to stick with the building furniture analogy, even if i know i could slap some duct tape over it and call it a day, i dont want to do that and care enough to fix it properly in a lasting way instead
