omg I've been hyperfixated on western dragons for ages, the fic you wrote is so auffghgg i love it big smooch
anyways back to the brainrot/req, western dragons are usually portrayed as possessive and selfish, so how about western dragon reader getting jealous/possessive over legacy when he comes back from fontaine cause reader can smell another dragon (neuvilette) on him?🤔 sorry if that made no sense lol
don't worry anon, this makes so much sense and I LOVE it
you're never exactly happy when Ajax and Foul Legacy have to leave on their little business trips- yes, you completely understand why. Ajax is a Harbinger, and when he goes, Legacy has to go too- but you don't like it. being away from who you consider to be your two greatest, most precious treasures makes you irritable and reclusive, barely even going out to soak up the sun your body desperately needs. you only perk up when you hear familiar heavy footsteps, scrambling to your feet and abruptly tackling Foul Legacy, earning you a surprised screech and an armful of happy armored moth. you let out a few purrs as you wrap your scaley tail around his leg and snuggle your head against his chest- but then you stop, nuzzles slowing to a complete halt, and you tilt your head back and delicately sniff the air
dragon. he smells like dragon. and not just any dragon, a different dragon, one that's not you- some pompous water dragon, if your nose is telling the truth, and your eyes narrow as you let out a low growl
Foul Legacy whines apologetically when you cross your arms and pout, tail lashing back and forth and pointed ears lowered. you drag him into your favorite patch of sun and stubbornly curl around him, trying to be as close as possible so you can erase every trace of that other dragon that might still cling to his armor. Legacy doesn't mind snuggling beside you, running his claws over the patches of scales that still litter your skin, and gradually you begin to calm and settle in for a quick nap with the Abyssal monster you've loved so much. for at least the next couple of weeks you almost always have a hand on him, holding his shoulder or wrist or lacing his fingers with yours- Ajax and Legacy are your beloveds, and no one else's. especially not some high-and-mighty water dragon from that city of metal and steam!

Exotic animals? Check. Laid-back restaurants, tropical drinks, and freshly caught seafood? Check, check, and check. From the lively streets of the West End to the formerly pirate-infested coves of the pristine eastern shores, this Honduran hotspot offers a diverse array of activities that are sure to satisfy all types of families.

Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas stops here for just this reason. Not only is it the world’s largest cruise ship, with its 18 decks, dozens of restaurants, and the tallest slide at sea, but also bring families to bucket-list tropical destinations like Roatán. So what should your family do while docked here? Sit back, enjoy a round of mini golf on deck 15, and read up for what to do while docked at this tropical paradise.

1. Spotting Sloths and Meeting Monkeys
They say that when you set foot on Roatán you need to adjust yourself to “Island Time.” Some here take this concept to the next level. Namely, the sloths in French Cay. These googly-eyed mammals, orphaned and rescued from the mainland, can be found hanging in the branches of mangrove trees (or around your neck, if you’re so inclined). If the sloths don’t get the kids’ early-morning adrenaline pumping then getting up close with a capuchin monkey surely will. Just make sure you don’t have any valuables on you when you enter; these monkeys are known for being extremely light-fingered.

2. Starfish Alley
If you want to kick this trip into full gear, head over to the West End, your base for an afternoon of adventure. First up: a family-friendly snorkel session down starfish alley. This popular spot is like an underwater Fantasia riddled in red cushion sea stars. With a maximum depth of just 8 feet and few protruding corals, it’s perfect for beginners who are still finding their sea legs. Several outfitters rent snorkel gear along the beach in the West End, and you can hire a cheap water taxi to drop you off right atop the alley.

3. SUP the Bay
Paddling in the serene waters of Half Moon Baby, the crescent-shaped cove at the heart of the West End, is a popular and relaxing activity. Head from the West End to nearby West Bay where you skirt the edge of the barrier reef and may find yourself paddling alongside turtles, rays, and other marine life.
4. Shopping
If you’re hunting for a memento of your time on Roatán to bring back aboard the Symphony of the Seas, a good place in the West End to start your search is Rusty Fish, where you can purchase playful hand-made crafts and quirky artwork made from recycled metal, wood, plastic, and glass. The majority of the raw materials used here come from the municipal dump, but you’d never realize it by the time local artists are done transforming them into jewelry, toys, handbags, and wall hangings.

Looking for something a bit more refined to put on the wall back home? Check out the work of local photographer Shawn Jackson at his nearby gallery. Jackson has mastered the art of capturing the underwater world in all its ethereal glory. See if the kids can spot some of the fish you saw on your snorkel trip hamming it up for the camera in Jackson’s striking snaps.

5. Roatán Rum Company
The rum curious should take a detour to the Roatán Rum Company in nearby West Bay. Adults can sample some complimentary hand-crafted rum infusions, but don’t leave here without trying the rum cakes (don’t worry, almost all of the alcohol gets cooked out and only the flavor of rum remains, making it safe for the entire family). The 360-degree views of the crystalline Caribbean from this hilltop spot – dubbed “Rum Point” – provide the perfect backdrop from which to say your goodbyes before heading back to the ship.

6. Steel Pan Alley
If you want to make your Roatán vacation booming, sign the family up for drum lessons at Steel Pan Alley in Gravel Bay. Steel pan music is the unmistakable soundtrack of any Caribbean vacation, and this crash course aims to turn you and the kids into novice pan players in just two hours’ time. Steel Pan Alley is the pet project of a retired California schoolteacher who wanted to instill steel pan music as a way for Bay Islanders to make a supplemental income. Money raised from the tourist classes helps fund the school’s main objective: offering free music lessons for the children of Roatán.

7. Hiking with Iguanas
If you decide to hike just about anywhere on the island, be on the lookout for the Roatán Spiny-tailed Iguanas, found only here in Roatán. If you want to better your odds of seeing this prehistoric creature, head on down to Arch’s Iguana Farm, a 12-acre reserve in French Cay. Be sure to watch your step as some 4,000 iguanas roam freely within the reserve looking for food (many are released back into the wild each year to help maintain a steady population). Ask at the entrance for some leaves with long stems so the kids can safely watch the feeding frenzy in all its glory. Non-reptiles spotted in the area include a white-faced monkey, macaws, and coatis (cuter cousins of the common raccoon)

8.  Flamingo Cultural Center
In the midst of Roatán’s rural eastern half lies a place where you can steep the family in the traditions of the island’s often-overlooked Garifuna community. The Garifuna are an ethnic group descended from Carib people of the Lesser Antilles and Africans who were brought to the Caribbean in 1635 on two Spanish slave ships that foundered off the coast of Saint Vincent. The would-be slaves escaped  by finding shelter onshore in the Carib communities, where they intermixed and intermarried, eventually fusing into a single culture. The British relocated them to the Bay Islands of Honduras following the Garifuna Rebellion of 1797.
The Flamingo Cultural Center, located along the waterfront in Punta Gorda, is charged with preserving the legacy of the Garifuna people in the Bay Islands through dance, music, art and oral history. Depending on the day you visit, you might participate in a food demonstration, watch a traditional folk dance, or catch an artist in action. For many families, the authentic interactions here are a highlight of their visit to Roatán.

9. Mangrove Tunnels
Tumblr media
Legend has it that the spectacular mangrove tunnels near the modern-day fishing coves of Jonesville and Oakridge were carved out by pirates centuries ago and used as safe havens from which they could attack passing ships. See for yourselves as you channel your inner Blackbeard on a tour of the area aboard a motorized dory (canoe). You’ll pass through tight channels and emerald lagoons searching of migratory birds and native waterfowl, all the while listening to the local lore.

10. Made in Roatán
If you’re looking for a memento to remember your stay by, support the local economy by heading to the aptly named Made in Roatán. This cooperative artist’s shop near the Coxen Hole cruise port lives by its motto of “helping people help themselves.” Everything you purchase – from the handcrafted seaglass jewelry to the hand-carved wooden sculptures – is made on island by local artists.
After your island adventures, it’s time to get back aboard the ship to enjoy all it has to offer — like the AquaTheater or The Ultimate Abyss, the largest slide at sea. Then, it’s off to paradise once again, on to your next island destination. Because that’s how Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas does vacation.

Foul Legacy with a Nekomata Reader HCs
Foul Legacy Childe x Reader Genre: Fluff Pronouns: Gender Neutral (no pronouns mentioned) Warnings: Small mentions of claws and teeth, loneliness, gets really rambly, you start as a literal cat
Nekomata are a type of Japanese yokai, often portrayed as an ordinary cat that lived long enough to gain a humanoid form and another tail
~ * ~ -MEOW -Okay anyways -As a Nekomata, you started life as a regular cat! Not a housecat, though- you had a grand time living in the mountains of Inazuma, near a village inhabited by Tengu -You would often wander into the village to steal feathers and bits of food, occasionally keeping the children company in exchange for treats, but you never stayed. Cats and crows don’t get along -Yes, it was lonely, but much of Inazuma is. You were used to it- besides, you were just a cat, not quite a yokai yet. You could think about sad concepts such as loneliness later, when you had a human form -One day, when you were chasing dry leaves caught on the wind, you heard the sound of footsteps approaching you, which normally wouldn’t be unusual but your keen ears could hear that these clearly were not Tengu footsteps (Tengu normally wear geta sandals) -Curiously you go to investigate this newcomer, inching under some bushes so you can observe without being spotted, and when you peer through the leaves you see a giant, sparkly beast of some sort -And oh, how magnificent this beast is! You see a ruff of lilac fur around its shoulders and a gorgeous glittering cape flowing to the ground, looking almost like a set of wings -You would like to curl up in that fluff, and get fur all over that cape. Preferably all at once -Foul Legacy certainly wasn’t expecting to hear a little meow by his feet, a soft-looking cat peering up at him innocently, like it’s completely normal to see an Abyss monster in the mountains, and he chirps in surprise -You’re so small compared to him, Legacy’s scared he’ll accidentally hurt you if he tries to pick you up- yet you don’t seem to care, simply hopping into his lap and curling up with a contented purr -And thus begins your travels with the strange sparkly creature you found. He’s yours now- you bumped your head against his talons and everything! -Foul Legacy finds comfort in your constant presence, the knowledge that he’ll have someone to wake up to bringing peace to his star-speckled heart. He lives a long time, and has been alone for most of those years, so he cherishes the fact that he can always feel you draped over his shoulders as he traverses Inazuma -Your favorite place to curl up is definitely in his light purple fluff, it’s just so soft and warm! Or having him hold you in his palms, kneading at his night-colored armor… your third favorite place to sleep is in any box you happen to come across, and often Foul Legacy will watch your small self with envy, wishing there was a box that could accommodate his size -Although… you do have a very long lifespan compared to ordinary cats… is his Abyssal corruption affecting you somehow? -No, he eventually discovers- it’s because you’re a Nekomata! And on your 100th year, with a little puff of smoke, you suddenly gain another tail and a human form -Not entirely human, though. You retain your ears, tails, and paw pads no matter what (technically you could get rid of them, but you like them and Foul Legacy likes them, so you won’t) -You can also talk now, with full sentences and everything!! Traveling with Legacy has left you with a good grasp on his growly, trilling language, and anyone else listening to you and him speak would be very confused, your human words mixing with his chirps and coos into something akin to a song -Even in your human form, you’ll often hang off of his shoulders, tails waving happily behind you as you ramble on about a butterfly you saw the other day, or the pretty feathers of a bird, or just humming and nuzzling your nose into his fur -Foul Legacy has tried to catch your tails with his hands before. He succeeded once, and you immediately retaliated by chasing his cape -Your natural agility comes in handy when navigating the islands of Inazuma, often leaping over rocks and trees to scout ahead and report back to your big floaty moth friend, telling him which paths to take to avoid the most trouble -Although, if you ever do get into fights, both of you are very proficient in your own ways! Foul Legacy has deep knowledge of Abyssal arts, and you have your sharp teeth and claws!! -At night he’ll often hold you in his lap, the back of your head pressed against your chest as you point out constellations and tell him the stories you overheard the Tengu reciting during festivals, and he, in turn, shows you his own constellation, as every Abyss creature has one -Speaking of traveling, there’s one place you absolutely hate, and that is the beach. The saltwater makes your skin and fur tacky, the sand gets in between your paw pads, and the unagi are always just out of reach!! It’s infuriating, and whenever you cross a beach Foul Legacy will kindly carry you instead -Inazuma also has a lot of sakura trees, which you used to hold in your little mouth and bring back for him, happily trotting to drop a flower in his hair. But now you can both put flowers in each other’s hair, and often you’ll have one behind your ear while Legacy has one behind one of his crimson horns -You can still shift back into your cat form, and sometimes you actually prefer that. Some days you really just want to be small and tucked away in Foul Legacy’s fluff, snoozing and ignoring the rest of the world, only needing to wake up to bat at his claws playfully when he gives you scritches. Honestly, he wishes he could join you- just become small and curl up somewhere to rest for a day -When he purrs, you purr, and vice versa. The language you both speak is purrs, and it’s very easy to kickstart some happy rumbles as long as you’re near each other. You’ll be scratching under his chin, then he’ll start brushing your ears, and so on and so forth until you’re both snuggled together and purring away -Foul Legacy does wonder if you’re happy with him. Yokai also live for a long time, and you’ve only just gained a human form- wouldn’t you have more fun living in the city, discovering new things, and being safe and at ease? When you’re traveling with him, there’s no guarantee that you’ll always come out unscathed, and he worries heavily about you, so fragile and small compared to him -You had visited the Grand Narukami Shrine a while back, curious to see how humans worshiped their gods. While there, the Kitsune Guuji, Yae Miko, approached you, offering to teach you how to integrate into human society. She already taught another of your kind, a Nekomata named Kirara, what’s one more? -But you had declined, thanking her with a smile. Yes, you didn’t know much about humans or how they lived, but you also didn’t know much about Teyvat as a world. Traveling with Foul Legacy would allow you to discover wonderful, magical things, things you never thought possible when you lived in the mountains. You didn’t need to live with humans- although you would be polite and friendly if you ever saw them- because you felt right at home whenever you were up and moving across nations -And Foul Legacy is your favorite, plain and simple. You like him more than any monster, human, or yokai, the thought of leaving his side never once crossing your mind. You’re his Nekomata, just like he’s your Abyssal beast, and that would never, ever change
