i do love that with each new episode of alien stage, characters continually get recontextualized and reframed. it's very cool.
#stormy shouts#it makes sense that they're as fucked up as they are considering the environment they're living it#but still round 6 was kind of a bat to the head in respect to the warped sort of affection ivan felt for till#i gleaned a very sort of arrogant entitlement to till by ivan but not in like... a fully conscious manner i think#ivan knows full well that till does not love him back#he never has and never will#but he still feels that all consuming fondness for the dude bcs love's a fickle bitch#and i think he's always wanted to 'save' him#because ivan is 'special' — he is treated far far better comparatively speaking#he thought that if he could Save till he could make him see and due to his special treatment he would be able to reap the benefits too#but he doesn't. he's killed all the same.#i think that look of shock on his face when he gets shot another time is that realization sinking in.#that not only is he as worthless as everybody else but that he's also a fucking hypocrite and no better than sua#ughhhh christ
