Prime numbers for Davy!
2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have?
Davy was not raised by his mother, who left when he was two years old in order to escape an abusive relationship. She had passage aboard a ship that would take both of them far North, but the ship was not leaving until the following spring, and unfortunately, by that point, she’d given birth to a daughter. Since she couldn’t send her infant daughter and toddler son alone on the boat she decided to leave Davy since he was older and stronger. She always intended to come back for him but never was able to.
Obviously, he knows nothing of this. All he knows is that his mom left when he was a baby. As Davy’s father put it, it was because she didn’t want to put up with either of them. So Davy feels very little for her other than a quiet contempt.
3. Brothers, sisters? Who do they like? Why? What do they despise about their siblings?
He has a younger sister named Tabitha and a half-brother named Nico, but he doesn’t know about either of them. Tabitha was raised by their mother, while Davy was raised by their father. Letitia, their mother, later remarried and had Nico.
Letitia’s had a good life since her escape, but she’s never been able to get over the loss of her son. Even worse, since Davy changed his last name, she has no idea that the notorious pirate is actually her child. She has no idea where he is or what became of him.
5. Were they overprotected as a child? Sheltered?
Definitely not, no. Elvar Vandern was a neglectful man, angry, hateful, bitter, and really did not want to be parent at all, let alone a single one. Basically if Davy got any attention at all it was in the form of threats, complaints, or having things thrown at him.
He luckily found other, makeshift guardians, but they didn’t exactly shelter or overprotect him either.
7. What was the economic status of their family?
Middling. They were well cared-for by the government of Twinsgate, who gave Elvar a pension due to his service in the military and subsequent injury. So they were never exactly low on money, the trouble was the Elvar didn’t spend it responsibly and so there were times when they may as well have been in poverty. But they had a decent house, food, clothing, all that stuff.
11. How do they see themselves: as smart, as intelligent, uneducated?
He is intelligent, and knows this. However due to Elvar being a sub-par parent he was never actually enrolled in school. So he self-taught until he was fourteen, using Faith’s schoolbooks to study, and then applied to go to a private school in Swansglen, which he failed at.
13. Did they like school? Teachers? Schoolmates?
No, no, and no. A recently orphaned and chronically abused fourteen year old thrown into a foreign city with no history of previous public schooling is not going to suddenly excel. He tried his hardest, but was just too nervous, too easily stressed, and didn’t have the discipline or rule-following ability to make it.
17. Did they travel? Where? Why? When?
So, after dropping out of school, he instead turned to sailing and found his niche. Bought his own boat with his private school funds, a tiny little vessel called the Sea Dragon, and used her to deliver cargo around the Five Nations.
Soon after, he ended up in the war effort and became something of a smuggler as well as an honest cargo dealer. But he traveled everywhere on that little boat for as long as she lasted. He still goes all over by sea.
19. What were your character’s deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?
I don’t know what this really means. He was always kinda raised on the idea that life is bitter, harsh, and cruel. So I’m not sure he had the fortitude as a kid to be disillusioned by anything.
23. What do they want from a partner? What do they think and feel of sex?
In a partner he wants to be loved, respected, and to feel absolutely safe around them, both physically and emotionally. If he’s going to live his life with someone he doesn’t want to live it on guard, constantly worried that the person he loves is going to turn on him in an instant. He would rather be alone than that.
Sex is a very weird area for him. He understands that he’s usually supposed to take control and doesn’t particularly like being submissive, but he also doesn’t know what to do during the actual practice. Mostly it makes him extremely uneasy, and leaves him feeling vulnerable and anxious. So, needless to say, his actual sex experiences are... few.
29. What is your character’s weaknesses? Hubris? Pride? Controlling?
His weird knee-jerk attack response to any perceived threat, and his tendency to isolate and shut out anyone and everyone and flee to the safety of the ocean, even if that means running away from his troubles and his friends.
31. Does your character have children? How do they feel about their parental role? About the children? How do the children relate?
This is a strange one cause I... have a theoretical ending for SotL where Davy does, in fact, have a daughter. However, this is only one of a few theoretical endings I have for the story. So Lydia may not make it into canon at all, and may be one of many characters that show up briefly during process and is scrapped in final.
Therefore, I’ll answer, but keep in mind that Lydia’s existence is not set in stone.
Given how Davy was raised and what happened with Reynard, he is absolutely terrified when Lydia is born. He’s afraid he’ll somehow become his father and damage her beyond repair, or that some terrible fate will befall his child before she’s even old enough to walk.
That said, he loves her. And even though he knows he cannot change himself or what fate may have in store for her, he IS her father and he can do everything in his power to do right by her. He doesn’t think he was ever meant to be a father, and doesn’t consider himself a very good one, but by all the gods, he adores Lydia!
And Lydia loves him too. She’s raised at sea, away from the politics and problems of land, and doesn’t even realize that her father is so hated, considered a wicked criminal by most of the world. She only knows him as her dad, the noble captain, and fearless defender of his crew, and of her.
37. How is your character’s imagination? Daydreaming a lot? Worried most of the time? Living in memories?
I don’t even know honestly. I think his imagination is probably pretty batty! He doesn’t dwell on memories, I know that, and he doesn’t daydream. But that doesn’t mean his mind isn’t a weird place to live.
41. Is your character aware of who they are? Strengths? Weaknesses? Idiosyncrasies? Capable of self-irony?
He lives on self-irony. Basically he is aware of who he is, even if his view is a bit grim and devoid of any perceived ability to self-improve.
43. Does your character have any secrets? If so, are they holding them back?
His whole life and existence is a secret. No one knows where this guy came from.
I’m kidding. People have dozens of rumors, some of them true. But Davy rarely reveals truths about his past, so the truth gets mixed in with the fiction and causes a lot of bizarre and conflicting origin stories. The only person who knows just about everything about him is Faith.
47. Do they want to project an image of a younger, older, more important person? Does they want to be visible or invisible?
He doesn’t project an image. He just is. Perhaps he wants to appear more poised, intimidating and confident than he actually is, but he certainly prefers to remain invisible, hidden in the shadows until the right moment.

What Is It?
It is a membership site devised to help you understand affiliate marketing.
Short Review
An honest site, good training, mostly legit info, and they have way more value than most internet marketing products. Plus, their basic membership does not cost anything!
However, when you begin buying their packages, it gets pretty expensive, especially when you buy everything they've to offer. When you conider that the community is not a whole lot active, and support is a very small amount in comparison with alternatives.
Before making a decision, have a look inside their affiliates area and then judge if extremely effective best bet you have for you.

Before You Buy
The very first thing we want to know is how Affilorama is actually structured. It's passed through numerous changes lately, and above current reviews don't reflect these changes.
The website is set using these a rather confusing way, dividing features into different packages, forcing it a little obscure the one that we would like to buy to get going making money. It's possible to try to break it down for you therefore's a little easier to understand.
An everyday (free) membership Affilorama should get you access some training videos, a members forum, and also their blog. These items are updated frequently, and there's a ton of information there. I wrote my original directory for Affilorama in 2014, but as of 2017, it's still active with questions, after, as updates. They are building for your long haul!
affilorama updated post
Update 2018
There was once four packages, raise paid, recurring membership fee. Now there is just a without charge organization, plus two other items you can buy. Is without question basically the "DIY" version, that is definitely $197. This is simply not DIY since you acquire the help of the running and community, but it's not "in serious trouble you", as while using the upgraded versions which is certainly an $997.
affilorama packages available
Affilorama has updated their package offers since I wrote my original review
Affilorama Premium is $67/month and is the same thing that I consider to be the "main feature" with this company. There'may be a 7 day trial for $1. Free membership is available nowadays
Affilotheme the help that people seek a premium WordPress theme used to be intended for $97, but these days is usually to often be available through the Affiloblueprint package.
AffiloBlueprint is $197 for lifetime access that is definitely the step-by-step system for newbies.
Affilojetpack are pre-made niche websites with content included, email swipes, likewise ready-made material. It's $997.
AffiloTools is a one-stop shop to track issues like competitors, rankings, keywords, and a number of other things. It's included along with your free membership.
Pricing Updates 2018
Ok, so what I've figured out is that there is three prices of membership. You join the FREE membership, that steadily the ability to access some features, and is often free. Then there may be the PREMIUM membership, with which has a $1 trial, and it's $67/month after that.

What I Liked
Though I exist of criticisms of this particular program which I'll discuss below, overall, I believe this can be a legit program. Mark Ling really lays everything out before you join, the fact is that sets him other than 99% for all your serious "gurus" out there. Ling has a superb reputation with the exceptional affilo-stuff has been around since 2005.
Most products in this industry don't last within a year.
The site is member focused, includes a somewhat-active forum, and is constantly changing as time goes on, instead of a static PDF or video series that can stale with time.
I keep in mind the main thing I liked about Affilorama was the way in which lots of the videos were set up, with bulleted overviews, prime quality voice overs, and scripts you may download for each video. I do know loads of they on limited internet connections and video training isn't always essentially the most convenient.
Free Membership
There's greatly present on the free membership. I joined a very long time ago and am still able to use the forum, all the work outs modules, the official blog, and a large array of other things including hour long webinar sessions.
Navigate the lessons dependant upon topic

2. Read The Title Summary of Each Lesson, Organized By Topic

3. Watch HD Videos & Read About Each Lesson, Including Step By Step Pictures

Since the original writing of this review, I like the way this script has restructured. Without having the $67 per 30 days membership, you possibly can concentrate on absorbing what they have to offer for free. That gives you the right amount of time to consider upgrading on top of AffiloBlueprint or AffiloJetpack.
By granting them you value rapidly, you will see what kind of company they are! And hey, if they supply like this stuff without cost, the paid stuff have to be healthier for 🙂

Goodies Included In Premium Offers
If you commit to go together with Blueprint or Jetpack you've got 1-year webhosting for 1 website. That's worth at least $100, and maybe more towards the quality despite hosting. You furthermore may explore owing to their "AffiloTheme' Premium Theme. A premium theme could cost between $20 and $100, in order that'is actually a acceptable too!
What I Didn't Like
"Outdated" Sections of Training
Though there is a lot of wonderful trainings in the gratis group, there are plenty real bombs to watch out for. While appearing for information on how to construct an internet site, I only found a bit about using Adobe Dreamweaver and creating content using HTML. Sure, there are a selection of the way for building website, but the easiest and most popular is WordPress. My #1 recommended product (see below for link) permits you to create WordPress website in about 30 seconds.
Considering you'll be able to select from over 10,000 different WordPress themes, including premium ones with fancy features, plus the normal process to customize your company site with different plugins, I did not why you'll use such as dreamweaver. WordPress is flexible, search result friendly, and highly customizable.
Low Member Activity
Right at the top of the list of appeals of going to a membership site just like a is generating help. There definitely here are a couple of active members, and actually moderators to aid with answering questions.
But from what I possibly could see, there didn't appear to be several activity going on.
affilorama forum
There are numerous instances of posts being replied to in three or four hours, however most activity seems to be over other times, even days or weeks old. I used to be on the website one evening and saw that there were only 16 members on!
Even though this is just my personal opinion, the posts I looked at didn't appear to be too insightful or warranting a discussion. In fact, I'm comparing this to my own end result of Wealthy Affiliate, containing plentiful active members, in conjunction with a live chat scrolling 24/7 a place that you may consider and carry instant answers.
Affilorama has the suitable idea yield members forum, but it only is devoid of numerous active members to get this to a great feature.
That's A Bad Idea #1: Copied Content
An enormous fear the workout that you will see discussed on other reviews of Affilorama is the use of PLR content and backlinking strategies.
Because it feels like an "easy way" that creates an online business, many people preclude stuff of making helpful, interesting content unfortunetly copy it from multiple places. True, there are actually legit ways to repeat content, and they rarely spark a legitimate, long-term business.
Aided by the ways is PLR content. It is a symbol of Private Label Rights and permits you to take content is due to a source tagged PLR, change it of any kind for your information fit, then do it in the own.
The concerns with that is multifaceted. One, everyone permission to access the same content. Two, this product is often written in a really generalized way that is neither interesting nor okay for the reader. Three, because it's not completely unique content, it's very hard to rank.
Many people say which you can "tweak" letting it to cause it to unique and pass Copyscape. My question to the child is, when you're a reader, are you able to detect when someone is BS-ing you online? Do you like along with generalized content or highly specific and insightful content?
Not surprisingly, if you need to spend enough time to research and re-write this stuff so they are unique, interesting, and helpful, you better yet not use PLR or merely write 100% original content.
In our own way to copy content is curation. By curating, you are taking other author's work (that allow you to achieve this), and offering a linkage to the unique source. Normally, mingle an "authority" on a topic by collecting legitimate information on that topic.
However, if you copy achieve article, there may be there's no chance that you're going to get ranked in Google for that content. No rank means no traffic. In the event you copy just a good bit and write your personal commentary for this (as curation must be), you will want to write down user generated content!
The Affilorama training helps it to be sound like that is simple to do and will sustain job as a web-based marketer less difficult. That's removed from the truth. Using content in this manner adds a new level of difficultly versus just writing the damn thing yourself.
That's A Bad Idea #2: Backlinking
Internet marketers can talk before cows arrive home about backlinking strategies but after all, Google explicitly says that artificial link-building is against their TOS and it'll end up at trouble.
Gurus went on and on about the benefits of Private Blog Networks. Countless products were released, revealing the ranking revolution, and the way it was easy attending to the #1 spot with PBNs…until that they will deindexed and anyone that used them was penalized. They've since recovered in popularity, but who knows when the following Google update will kill your PBN.
google deindex backlinks
I actually have personally grown One More Cup of Coffee to five,000 visits per 24 hrs with out a single backlink, so I actually have my own proof that links are not needed to experience a traffic generating website falsified income. It only takes longer, additionally it may also lasts longer too.
And by the age of the training on backlinks in Affilorama, I wouldn't trust it for our particular own website, and may't recommend it for yours!
Extra Fees
Considering what you'll discover, the worth swapped the varied packages you in finding will not be too crazy. However, there are certain considerations!
For only one, you must pay an autoresponder fee in addition to whatever it is that you buy, who can cost $20+ per month. Then, your hosting may not free after for a year of membership. Also, there is some confusion about "Affilorama Premium" and "AffiloTools".
Premium it happens to not be available on the company website, but it surely's listed as an extra feature, specifically that you get a 1-month free trial. The first price for premium was $67, so can we expect a $67 upsell most of us join Blueprint?
Regarding AffiloTools, it clearly says hence it's free for Affilorama Members, that being said we're told that we all experience a no charge study to be a part of Blueprint. So which can be it?

Affilorama Free VS Premium Updated for 2018
It's been quite a while since I wrote my initial review. I wrote this making a return to 2014, togerher with its now December 2018. Affilorama remains to be alive, so they collect new members and perpetuate improving a company. Personally, I are unable to find much activity this review, so I'll just turn the job over as-can possibly be now. I've updated the pricing info, and made an effort of the costless association simply by Winter 2018.
However, if I get sufficient comments within the comment section aiming a review the newer Premium membership in Affilorama, I'll join and test it out. Contribute to the discussion and let me know if you would like me to do this!
Last Note
I in fact wasn't delightful to have email offers from Mark Ling, cross promoting services and products from folks that I would consider scam artists. I've done a lot of reviews for my website, and am aware that lots of the "gurus" hang around the other and run promotions for some another. That's fine. It's how business is done online, and You'll be able to unsubscribe very easily.
Specially me, I used to be just disappointed to find out that the finished products owner was promoting a person who I personally find terrible. This method person often charges thousand of dollars for mentorships and exclusive programs. You familiar with ones - "Join cost-free webinar", after which they try to sell you a $10,000 mentorship package.
Final Review
Affilorama has an incredible no charge registration, and appropriately priced premium offers. They've a helpful community, and a quality product that I am able to proudly recommend.
Thumbs Up

Emma Olson Jackson, MS, ARNP - phaware® interview 342
Emma Olson Jackson is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Seattle Children's Hospital. In this episode, she discusses her history in helping develop pediatric pulmonary hypertension programs across three different specialty centers. Emma also discusses the challenges that pediatric programs face in treating this disease.
My name's Emma Olson Jackson, and I am a pediatric nurse practitioner in pulmonary hypertension here at Seattle Children's Hospital in the heart center. I've been a pediatric pulmonary hypertension nurse practitioner since 2012, where I started at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, developed that program there, and I was there almost four years and then I moved up to Portland, Oregon and was at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, which is an affiliate of OHSU Medical Center, and did pulmonary hypertension there, and now I'm at Seattle Children's. I was a bedside nurse before I was a nurse practitioner in the cardiac ICU at UCSF, and I knew Jeff Fineman, MD really well. When I was finishing my graduate school education and getting my NP license, he was also at the same time trying to get funding to hire the first pulmonary hypertensive nurse practitioner at UCSF. He convinced me that this was the field that I should go into and work with him, and it was an awesome decision. I didn't really know what I was getting into, but he such a wonderful provider, and he's done so much research on pulmonary hypertension, and he's a wonderful teacher and just in general, a great team member. Starting in that environment was really wonderful, so I just learned so much. Then once I dove into the world of pulmonary hypertension, I knew I never wanted to leave it, and that's kind of where my passion has been. So the whole time I've been a nurse practitioner, I've specialized in pulmonary hypertension, which has been really valuable for me. I am from the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in a town called Bellingham, that's north of Seattle, and the program in Portland, kind of cold called me and had heard my name, and had a position opening within cardiology in pulmonary hypertension. They were wanting to grow their pediatric pulmonary hypertension program. At that point in time, I really was not looking to leave UCSF. I was very happy at that program and I felt like we had accomplished a lot and we had a lot of momentum, and the program was growing and I felt really close to my patients there and the team, but at the same time, I knew eventually I wanted to be back in the Pacific Northwest to be close to my family. I had a sister in Portland and when the opportunity presented itself and I started to be recruited there, I felt like there might not be another opportunity. There's very few pulmonary hypertension nurse practitioner positions in the nation, and to have one open up kind of where I thought eventually I wanted to end up (was a important). I wasn't really ready to leave San Francisco, but I was worried that if I didn't take the opportunity, I might not have another opportunity to move closer to my family. So that's why I decided to take that position. Once I was in Portland, it was a big difference just from going from a really big pulmonary hypertension program to a much smaller pulmonary hypertension program. I pretty quickly realized that I wanted to be part of a bigger program, and lucky for me, Seattle Children's actually got funding for a nurse practitioner when I was in Portland. People already knew that I was there, and so Seattle reached out and then recruited me up to Seattle, which was a pretty easy recruit, because I wanted to be in a bigger program, so it was awesome. I think it was a really good experience for me to be also in a smaller program to see the challenges. There's still patients in Oregon and everywhere else that do end up being seen in smaller programs, and they need to have strong pulmonary hypertension program, as well. I learned a lot now that I've been in three different pediatric pulmonary hypertension programs. Everybody does things a little bit differently, and every provider has a different style of care. I think it's been really amazing for me to learn from all those different providers and teams and take what I like and what I don't like from every place and just learn more about how to best take care of this pediatric population that's really challenging. I think pulmonary hypertension is rare, as you know. In pediatrics, it's even more rare. I think it's a really niche specialty. One of the things more people are recognizing is that there kind of does need to be centralized care for these patients, because it's complex, and there needs to be experts caring for them. I think because the numbers in general are small, because it's a rare disease, that there's just less comprehensive centers that have enough volume to justify having advanced practice providers in that specialty. Seattle Children's is both a comprehensive care center through the PHA for pediatric pulmonary hypertension, and they're also part of the PPHNet, which is the Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Network of North America. I think in general, the pediatric pulmonary hypertension world is small, and it's a really close knit community. That's something I love about this field of medicine, is that we're always communicating with each other and sharing ideas and protocols and guidelines and getting advice from each other. There's no secrecy from program to program about how people are doing things, and there really doesn't seem to be very much ego, which I think is sometimes rare in medicine between programs. We're not trying to compete with each other. We're really trying to be cohesive and collaborative to provide the best care for this population, which I love. Some of the challenges in this field is because it's rare, and the numbers are relatively low when you compare it to other types of heart disease, that it makes it hard to really figure out best practices or best medical systems. We might think what we're doing is best, but actually we don't know what someone else is doing, or when we're comparing all the numbers together, it's really difficult to do randomized controlled trials to figure out what combination of medicines are the best. Working with a rare disease, it's challenging to have enough numbers that bring valuable research. So it's imperative that we form these different networks of multiple pediatric pulmonary hypertension centers, because that's the only way we're going to really answer big questions is by collaborating, putting together all of our data to figure out what's the best practices for this group of patients. But it's also a challenge, because that also takes a lot of time and effort in enrolling patients and putting in their data into these big registries, and then at the same time, it takes years of putting in that data and then multiple more years of interpreting that data before there is a change in practice. We're doing such a better job of treating pulmonary hypertension than we were even 10 or 15, 20 years ago, and these patients are doing better and they're surviving longer and they're having higher quality of life, and we have more medications available. I think we're treating earlier and more aggressive and giving kids a really fulfilling, healthy, longer life. It's great that we do see these patients transitioning, and that's something we think about, and it's really imperative that we are working with adult centers that we trust and that we have our values and the way we care for patients aligned. We really work really closely with our adult colleagues, and really do the transition to adulthood in a thoughtful manner and in a way that prepares the child for the differences in an adult center, and at the same time, still offering our support. We tend to do a staggered transition where they meet the adult provider, sometimes we try to have them meet the adult provider before they actually go and transfer care. We're hoping to work through a system where then maybe we actually attend maybe the first appointment at the adult center so that we can act as a buffer and fill in the gaps of the clinical history that maybe didn't make it in the record change. Another big piece of transitioning to an adult program is making sure that the child or adolescent really understands their disease and their medications, and getting them independent as possible, because once you transitioned to that adult program, there's much, much less ... I don't want to say handholding, but they assume that you take charge of your own care and that they're not double checking that you understand every piece of it. It's our job as pediatric providers to make sure, in the years before transition, and we start talking about this sometimes when a patient's 11 or 12, even though they're not going to be transitioning until they're 18 or 19, sometimes 21, is that every time we see them in clinic, we try to think of a new topic to teach them of part of their disease, and are working with them understanding their disease and understanding their medications and being able to tell us what their medications are instead of us telling them and having them agree. When we go over medication lists when patients are younger, we just say, "Are you taking this, this and this?", and as they get older we say, "You tell us what you're taking, and what's the dose, and how frequently?", to empower that child to really take charge of their own health and understand their disease and the medications and why they're taking them. The diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension is a challenging diagnosis to receive, and I think that when you're a newly diagnosed patient it’s really to try to think about one thing at a time and to remember, especially in pediatric, that every patient is really different, and the etiologies for pulmonary hypertension can be very different from kid to kid. I find sometimes that patients, especially newly diagnosed, kind of compare themselves to other patients with pulmonary hypertension, and that's a really challenging thing to do, because I think every case is so different to really hone in on your own child and their issues and level of disease and medical management and try to get to know that and really learn what's best for your child before you try to compare your child to other cases, especially cases that have had pulmonary hypertension for a long time, or that have really different reasoning for having pulmonary hypertension. I think one of the challenges I see over and over again with newly diagnosed pulmonary hypertension is that because it's rare, parents want to reach out and find similarities with other pulmonary hypertension patients almost too soon before they really get to know their own child and their own child's disease, and that's not to discourage connecting with other parents, but that's just to learn your own child and their own disease and their own medications before you start to compare another child to your own. Every parent wants to do their best for their child, and every care provider wants to do the best for their patients, and sometimes it takes time to figure out what that best practice is, and what I like to tell patients, especially new patients, is that we need to have patients and us getting to know the child and the parents getting to know their child with this new diagnosis. It takes time to figure out which medications or combination of medications work. Sometimes there's not really quick, fast answers, and it's a process that we get to do together, and it takes time. So sometimes there's not answers right away. My name is Emma Jackson, and I'm aware that I'm rare.

While you likely know, generally there are many hundreds associated with sites offering dating companies - some are 'free' sites (no expense to enroll in or use the site), while others require repayment in a few form. Such 'paid' web sites might charge a membership, or perhaps a new small fee for every message you send if using the internet site. Free datehookup So far so good. Although one of the key problems using all these a variety of web sites is knowing what kind is definitely 'right' for you. Not only do you have to choose between 'paid' in addition to 'free', but also from 'boutique' versus 'general' dating web sites. After which there are web sites which have members via across the world, vs . people that have people mostly from region or maybe country. One more factor is whether to go along with an existing 'name brand' site that may be widely advertised, or one that you've not noticed of. In this posting, I'll attempt to give you some sort of handful of words of tips, which may aid you in making a decision about which often internet dating site (or sites) to apply. Firstly, I believe it's very vital that you possess a clear idea involving certain things - the variety of individual you're seeking for, and how a lot money you're prepared to spend to find them. When your clear regarding the type of person you desire, subsequently that's a significant help. Knowing what state you prefer these to are living in, their age, their very own principles (conservative or much more easy-going) and also lifestyle possibilities. Once you get very clear about how much income (and time) you're prepared to expend in your own search, you're now all set to consider the following items. 'Free' versus 'Paid' online dating sites : Totally free sites are great regarding getting used on the online dating experience, and your own personal objectives are reasonably very low. Services are generally run on a very tiny budget, so customer help support might be limited, and the particular site is actually unlikely in order to be as dependable or full-featured as a given site. However, there are generally some excellent free internet sites that do a very good career, and they should not be dismissed. If you are unclear in relation to who have you're looking with regard to, then start with free of charge dating. You have almost nothing to get rid of, and by using them it's most likely you'll learn a ton about what sort of individual you're looking for. Paid internet sites offer more important gaming features., service, as well as usually provide a trusted and well-managed site. Nevertheless , it can get high-priced, particularly when you haven't determined who all you're seeking, as well as precisely why. Because some web-sites cost 'per message', it's a more robust to merely send messages to be able to would-be dates that healthy your ideal. On the additional hand, a few paid web sites have numerous features that will you may never utilize - such as discussion along with real-world social instances. And that means you may feel in which some sites are not good value for money. Last but not least, many paid web-sites have got very enticing promotion on the net, and you could be disappointed if you locate the site doesn't live up to the 'hype' described in its advertising. Nevertheless, paid sites are very popular, and also I suggest using these people if (and just if) you're reasonably crystal clear in addition to professional about who all if you're looking for, and you're able to put in the actual time and money to find these individuals. Boutique internet sites are another choice. These are usually online dating sites which will meet the needs of specific audiences. For example, some sites provide just for people more than 40, or just for the people with a disability. Various other sites just allow 'beautiful' or incredibly wealthy individuals to join. Then generally there are sites which cater to specific religious or ethnic groups. A boutique web-site is a good choice if you are part of a specific social niche and it's really important that an individual meet only those people who are aspect of the same specialized niche. Drawback of boutique courting sites may be the lack of member numbers, which often can prospect to disappointing search results. Nevertheless , if you possess a specific and clear group of people that will you're hoping will incorporate your personal future lover or lover, then boutique dating gets the advantage of a strong focus on a particular party of people. Finally, there's international sites, versus individuals much more locally focused. You actually can almost certainly guess my thoughts on this specific, structured on the foregoing dialogue! Consider whether you usually are happy with the thought of any relationship together with someone internationally. If anyone met the right man online, would you possibly be ok with travelling for you to another portion of the world for you to meet them? Are you able to manage the travel costs, and also ongoing costs of calls? If you answer 'yes' to questions, then a international web-site may end up being what you're looking to get. Additionally, you can pick out a dating website which often has most of its account drawn from your personal region, point out or land. There are substantial terminology, cultural and vacation benefits to searching for somebody in your home region. Also consider there is not likely to be a timezone trouble. There are a lot of local or country wide dating sites which have hundreds of associates, so a person won't find the fellow member numbers limiting in this specific instance. It is suggested using internet dating sites specific to your state or region, if you specifically want to meet anyone from a foreign state. You could, for instance, desire to meet somebody by Japan - either for a friendly relationship or relationship. An international website is therefore the excellent solution.

How to Find the Best C.P.A. or Tax Accountant Near You
If you recoil at the thought of preparing your own tax return and wonder how you can find a good certified public accountant (C.P.A.) or tax accountant, you’re not alone. According to the I.R.S., of the more than 138 million tax returns e-filed through November 22, 2019 (for the 2018 tax year), about 58 percent were prepared by a tax professional.
At Wirecutter, a product review site owned by the New York Times, we have found that hiring a C.P.A. or tax pro can take the time-consuming and often frustrating task of deciphering I.R.S. rules and forms off your shoulders. However, hiring the wrong person can do more harm than good.
Why you need to be careful when choosing a C.P.A.
Each year, the I.R.S. compiles a “Dirty Dozen” list of tax scams. Although the scams are wide-ranging, many of them include actions taken by shady tax preparers, such as promising inflated refunds, falsely claiming deductions and credits, or encouraging clients to avoid their tax obligations.
Unfortunately, just about anyone can become a paid tax preparer. Most states have few to no requirements for certification, training, or even competency testing.
So how do you find someone you can trust? Let us walk you through a three-step process to find a qualified C.P.A. or tax accountant near you.
Step 1: Compile a list of potential C.P.A.s and tax accountants
Like with most service providers, a great way to find a C.P.A. or accountant is to ask for a referral. But don’t just go with the first name you get — compile a list of three or four potential accountants. Here’s how:
Ask friends, family, and co-workers for referrals.
Dan Henn, a C.P.A. in Rockledge, Florida, said most of his business comes from referrals.
“Check with family, friends, business associates, co-workers, your attorney, financial adviser, or banker,” Mr. Henn said. “Find out who they use and if they’ve had a positive experience.”
C.P.A.s and accountants tend to focus on particular niches or specialties, such as small-business owners, high-net-worth individuals, or clients who work in certain industries. As a result, Mr. Henn recommends asking people you know with similar needs. “For example, if you’re a doctor, talk to other doctors and ask who they use,” he said.
Search the I.R.S. directory.
The one qualification every paid tax preparer must have is a preparer tax identification number, or P.T.I.N. Anyone can apply for a P.T.I.N. online for free, so a P.T.I.N. alone isn’t indicative of the person’s skill or experience.
However, the I.R.S. maintains a directory of P.T.I.N. holders — such as C.P.A.s, enrolled agents (E.A.s), and attorneys — who have current credentials recognized by the I.R.S. The directory also includes people who have completed the Annual Filing Season Program, a series of voluntary continuing education classes covering federal tax law and ethics. Search the directory by ZIP code to find a C.P.A. or credentialed tax professional near you.
Check with your state or national associations.
Many state boards of accountancy and state C.P.A. societies maintain online directories of members or can provide a list of tax pros in your area when asked. Not every C.P.A. prepares taxes, so you may need to do some research online or call to see if the people on your list provide the type of tax services you need.
E.A.s are federally licensed tax practitioners who are authorized to advise, represent, and prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses. The National Association of Enrolled Agents (N.A.E.A.) maintains a directory of E.A.s. You can search the directory by location, specialties, language, experience, and more.
Consider free tax-preparation resources.
If you make less than $56,000 per year or are age 60 and older, you may want to look into having your tax return prepared through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) or Tax Counseling for the Elderly (T.C.E.) programs.
These programs are sponsored by the I.R.S. and staffed by volunteers trained to provide basic tax-prep services to the public free of charge. If you qualify, use the VITA/T.C.E. locator tool to find a provider near you.
According to the I.R.S., most VITA and T.C.E. sites won’t appear in your search results until about three weeks before they’re scheduled to open. If you search for a site outside of mid-January through April, you may have a difficult time finding one near you.
Once you find a location, check out the I.R.S.’s list of what to bring to your tax appointment before you go.
Step 2: Narrow down your options
Once you’ve made a list of potential tax preparers near you, it’s time to zero in on who’s best. Here’s what to do:
Verify their credentials.
If you got the tax preparer’s name from the I.R.S., your state board of accountancy, a state C.P.A. society, or the NAEA, their credentials are most likely legitimate. However, if you got the name through a referral, it’s a good idea to find out whether the person holds the certifications they claim to have.
Forty-seven states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Guam participate in C.P.A. Verify, an online central repository of information about licensed C.P.A.s and public accounting firms. Search cpaverify.org or your state’s board of accountancy website to verify the credentials of a C.P.A.
You can double-check the status of an E.A. at EATax.org.
Read online reviews.
Look at your potential C.P.A. or tax preparer’s website and social media accounts to see what sorts of things they post online. Read online reviews on Yelp, Google, Angie’s List, Thervo, and Facebook. Google their name to see what comes up — and scroll through the first few pages of search results to make sure nothing is buried.
Anybody who works with the public probably has a negative review posted by a disgruntled client. But if your research uncovers red flags like a pattern of client complaints, unprofessional social media posts, or an arrest record, move on to your next candidate.
Make an appointment.
Now that you’ve narrowed down your list to the most promising prospects, reach out and ask them to meet in person as soon as possible. But be warned: If you wait to make an appointment until the 2020 tax season is well underway, you may have a hard time finding someone who has time to sit down with you. Set up a meeting as soon as possible, even if you don’t yet have all of your tax documents ready.
Step 3: Interview a prospective C.P.A.
When you meet with a potential accountant, bring a copy of your most recent tax return. Reviewing your latest return is one of the best ways for the tax pro to evaluate your situation and give you an idea of how much they might charge.
Be prepared to let your potential accountant know about any significant life changes you’ve experienced in the past year, like if you got married (or divorced), invested in rental property, or started a business.
Here are some key questions to ask during your meeting:
How long have you been preparing taxes? If your tax return is relatively simple, someone with just a couple of years of experience under their belt should be capable of handling it. But if your return is complicated or you’ve had problems with the I.R.S. in the past, you might want someone more experienced.
Do you have any specialties? If you have specific needs — maybe you own a small business or rental property, or you hold foreign investments — you should work with someone who specializes in working with clients like you.
How do you bill for your services? The accountant may not be able to give you an exact price at this initial meeting, but they should be able to give you an estimate — especially if you show them last year’s return. Find out whether they charge a flat fee or an hourly rate; either is fine, as long as you get an idea of how much it’ll cost you to have your return prepared.
Are you available for questions outside of tax season? Some tax preparers set up shop during tax season, only to disappear shortly after April 15. If something goes wrong after you file your return or you need help planning for next year, a seasonal tax preparer won’t be much help. Look for someone available year-round.
Who will prepare my return? If the accountant is part of a firm, the person you meet with might not be the one who prepares your return — they may hand it off to a less-experienced associate and merely review their work. While this can help keep your costs low, it’s good to know who’s actually doing the work.
Bonus step: Look outside where you live
If you don’t find a tax preparer or C.P.A. near you whom you feel comfortable working with, consider looking outside of your geographic location. Though many people prefer face-to-face meetings, you aren’t limited to C.P.A.s and tax advisors in your town.
Mr. Henn said he’s worked with many clients who feel funny about sharing their personal financial information with a tax preparer in their own town, so they work with someone in another city or state. “Because of technology like Skype and Zoom, secure portals, and electronic filing, you can work with accountants anywhere in the country,” he said.
It may be time to decide how important that face-to-face connection really is to you.
No matter who prepares your tax return, remember: You are ultimately responsible for its contents. Never sign a tax return before checking that it’s accurate. If you’re not sure about something, ask the preparer to explain it. When you sign your return — whether with a pen or electronically — you’re asserting under penalty of perjury that it’s complete and accurate.
Take the time to hire a reputable tax pro and review their work carefully to help ease your worries this tax season.

Q&A 4
Finally, we will end with some answers from me. A little about me…I am a beauty/product photographer based in Los Angeles. You can find me at jenn-collins.com or @jenncollins on insta
   -How did you get started?
J: When I was about 16-17, my parents gifted me with my first DSLR, a Nikon D40. Since I lived in Arkansas at the time, I started taking images of flowers and landscapes and light-trails for fun. I submitted these images into the county fair and won first place on a few of my images which really motivated me to pursue photography a bit more in-depth. I began taking my classmates senior photos in highschool, then took a dark room class in community college, then decided to enroll at the Academy of Art University online in 2011. Shortly after, I got my first set of studio lights and had no clue what I was doing for a good 6 months (no, seriously. I left the modeling light on and used them as continuous lights because I didn’t know what a strobe was…so embarrassing.) After a couple of years of practicing shooting friends and family in my parents garage (and learning how to properly use strobes), I decided in 2013 to move to Los Angeles with my boyfriend, Jeff. Once I moved to LA, I met my best friend Jessica (yup, the girl above in the interview!) and she took me under her wing and showed me the ropes of how to get my foot in the door to commercial photography. I began testing with models and doing more basic images to catch the attention of agencies. I met with professional makeup and hair artists and started to grow from there. Fast forward to now and I’m STILL learning and growing every day!
-What were the 3 biggest lessons learned when you first got started?
J: I think the overall biggest lesson learned was to find myself in my work. I kept trying to replicate what I saw in magazines/online and it never felt like my own work. Once I let go of trying to be someone else, I was able to really tap into a wealth of creativity. Another lesson would be to keep experimenting. It took me a few years to find my style (and I still feel like I’m evolving into it), and up until almost 2 years ago to find that beauty is my niche. The only way you are going to find your style is by practicing and learning by what does and doesn’t work for you. The last lesson would be to be a nice person. There are some real assholes in this industry, but don’t let the job jade you. People will bring you down and judge you and mock you, but continue to be nice. Honey attracts more flies than vinegar :)
-What is your favorite lighting setup?
J: My favorite has been my white PLM (parabolic umbrella). This 7′ umbrella really allows even, clean lighting that is perfect for beauty. My setup is pretty simple, so I usually just position my PLM a couple of feet from my model and bounce with a white card.
-Do you retouch your own work or do you outsource it?
J: I retouch my own images only because I am a control freak who likes to do it herself, but I also really enjoy retouching. I think that I would easily outsource my work if the workload was too much or if the client was willing to pay to outsource, but in the meantime I’m going to keep enjoying retouching :)
-Wardrobe stylists are hard to find. How can I get better ones on my team?
J: It really is just networking (reaching out to stylists you like and seeing if they are up for a trade) or finding someone you like and growing with them. You can’t expect to get the very best right out of the gate, so I am a firm advocate for teaming up with someone who is reliable, professional, talented, but is also starting out and is interested in testing, and growing with that person. I have several members on my team who have been with me since I started in LA just shooting weird conceptual stuff, and now we all have an understanding and appreciation for each other’s tastes and know what the other person expects out of the shoot. That is just not something you’re going to get from a team member who you just started testing with, so it pays to grow with someone!
-I am always low on studio space to shoot- how can I find places to shoot without breaking the bank?
J: Here’s a fun tip about my work: I have been shooting in my apartment since forever. Yes, the space is small and there isn’t much room to do crazy angles or full body shots…but the space that I have is intimate and usable. Since I shoot beauty, its easy for me to work with limited space. With that said, if you absolutely must shoot with lots of room, I would suggest finding a small studio that you can rent out. Most cities have some sort of arrangement for $50-$100 a day, or more for the bigger studios. If all else fails, try moving some furniture around and getting creative- it’s amazing how much more room you have when you move a sofa out of the way! ;)
-What are the essential gear pieces I need to be a beauty photographer?
J: I feel like this is a tricky question because it differs for everyone. I personally totally break the rules when it comes to gear + beauty photography. Most people will encourage you to get a 100mm lens as that is the best focal length to minimize distortion in the face. I ignore this and shoot mainly with my 50mm 1.4 or my 85mm 1.4 and fix distortion in post. I enjoy being closer to my subject to help direct, so I feel that wider lenses (I wouldn’t go wider than 50mm) allows me be close enough to the model to tweak her pose a bit if needed. A big light bank will be your best friend for clean beauty, so I suggest a PLM or large softbox with diffusion to help soften the light a bit. But…like I said, I’m a rule breaker so my advice may not be the best in this realm. LOL
-How many photos do you usually deliver to your team?
J: Since beauty retouching is so time-consuming and detail oriented, I usually deliver between 6-8 images per shoot. This doesn’t sound like a lot, but I am a believer in quality over quantity. I want to make sure my work is perfected rather than just delivering a buttload of images that aren’t 100% clean.
-What is one piece of advice you can share with a photographer starting out?
J: KEEP. TRYING. This job is demanding and mean, but if you love it, then dammit keep trying. You will get more “no’s” than “yes’” starting out, but that just makes you appreciate the opportunities even more. As the old saying goes- Nothing worth doing is ever easy. Just keep shooting :)

#The #Beauty #of #a #Coaching #Niche #cool #farmasi #fentybeauty #foodgasm #friends #meme #positivevibes #punjabimusic #trends #women
Monetary success in a mentoring apply arrives down to two principal stuff — how successtotaly you industry to one slender instruction area of interest or tarpurchase market and how you worth by yourself, time and provider. That is not to say that it is not also essential that you are a skillful coach and have integrity in your coaching associations. However individuals other causes weigh in much more seriously with respect to sustained economic success. We are going to focus now on niche promoting.
Why Decide on A single Niche?
I know that you turned a coach to coach, not to market, correct? You want that free of chargedom in life-style of undertaking for yourself, with an limitless money, although assisting other people to their most satisfying life.
I find out. And the real truth is, marketing isn’t really an alternative, it’s a requirement. So why not market with ease? By selecting one unique niche you can have fun marketing, leverage your time and have a larger return on your expense. Listed here are the virtues of target marketing:
– Take away the ache of making an attempt to describe coaching. Rather discuss straight to your target market about their requirements and difficulties. They’re currently committed considering that your services are geared to them.
– Build visibility and trustworthiness more quickly by means of referrals.
– Receive each and every marketing hour count more by funneling potential consumers into a collection of leveraged marketing initiatives — a specific site with a membership to a bi-7 daysly ezine, that publicizes a free teleclass on a related area, that enrolls sales opportunities into an eight week performshop or long lasting team coaching event, that teases items you’ve got for sale. All of here is directed at your target market and works in cas soon asrt.
– Command higher costs.
– Produce abilities more briefly. Then get known for that expertise by others who will want you to speak publicly, be on panels, create material. They advertise for you.
– Build a sustained pipeline of prospective clients.
– Minimize your time in marketing as you saturate the market.
– Distinguish yourself against the other 2five,000 coaches out there, most of whom do not target market and make much less than $tenK per calendar year.
How to Choose Your Niche
Begin by pondering about the demographics you symbolize. If you happen to be a fifty year aged individual with 10 several years of confront in the pharmaceutical industry, your niche might be midtreatmenter pharmaceutical professionals. If you’re a woman with kids who went again to work two years back, you could work with mothers re-moving into the workforce to handle the changeover. If you’re a retired company govt, your niche could be sunsetting corporate executives to develop their following stage of life’s work.
The title of the sport is narrowing and specifying to one group that you adore, relate to and have some very first hand experience in their realm. Even though you will not require vast expertise in your niche, you and your prospects will be aided by at the very least some perception of the challenges this group faces. And, if you have expertise, use it to market to your niche except if it helps make your tummy turn.
Favored Misacknowledges
The most acquainted blunders coaches make in marketing are:
1. The market is way too extensive — If you pick some thing like females in transition, skilleds or marketers, you are going to locate it challenging to construct sustainable financial success. The phrase professional can describe practically any company particular person these times. Envision trying to write a bi-weekly ezine that would interest physicians, attorneys, hair stylists, therapeutic massage therapists, coaches, CPAs. Encourage to just one of these classes as an alternative and view your business take off.
2. 2nd and 3rd guessing — Pick a niche, develop a marketing program and adhere with it a number of years so you can enjoy the rewards. Several coaches replace their niche every few months so that every one they speak with has listened to a distinct a few0 minute intro and the coach loses legitimacy. However, the concept is not — I am open up minded and trying a tiny of something. Instead, it’s — I’m indecisive and not severe about my business.
3. Cyclical marketing — Many coaches will conclude marketing once they’ve a few clients. Of system, this indicates they never build a sustainable business and at some point need to go get a process. Continuously market, even if your practice is full. More than time, you can minimize the time you set into marketing because your program is effective, automatic and your message has saturated the market.
four. No plan — Many coaches have no marketing plan, nevertheless instead do what I contact hunt and peck marketing. This wastes beneficial time because marketing techniques cannot be leveraged. Instead, create a long term, leveraged marketing plan directed at your niche. Here is an instance: have a targeted website that enables friends to subscribe to your ezine, which advertises a free teleclass enrolling prospects into a workshop series or group coaching discussion board on subject areas they care about, and at the same time sell your own products relative to your market. All of this is directed at your niche.
5. No faith — So several coaches don’t value them selves, their time or their services. They give absent time over and above a pattern consultation, low cost fees, and sustain clients that usually are not right for them. They are unsuccessful to capture the right opportunities. This undesirable calories chokes off wealth and sends prospects away. After you market, have confidence in that your services are hugely valuable and demonstrate that in your brain, phrases and measures. (More on this in the next version.)
Consider coronary heart, take purpose and target market. You will be richly rewarded by a sustainable, fiscally productive business.

Even Marie Claire magazine rated the company one of many five most significant adult information businesses for Females to love. Indeed, I acknowledge it, I have glanced at the quilt of the Marie Claire magazine before. After i saw Kink on the quilt I'd no decision. I was sucked in to reading the report as most of the people have been however they will not confess it. Conversion level for kink is way previously mentioned most content material companies and is also as large as any affiliate method will get. Now they may have Reside exhibits and also have branched out to pay for for each scene which can be a large revenue maker lately for purchasers that don't need to enroll in a month to month membership. I'm confident They can be developing a couple of a lot more profits streams as I type.
Adult Toy Shop - While using the day of your Bodily Grownup toy shop down the block turning into a issue with the earlier; Everyone seems to be now heading to go surfing to invest in their toys. The profits for these toy corporations has absent up exponentially 12 months immediately after year as well as affiliates are producing Superb funds. XR is probably the terrific organizations supplying three different types of websites in niche marketplaces that could be co-branded and custom-made so far as you wish to choose it. They cater to all markets straight, gay and bondage. There are lots of other excellent types including stockroom but XR in our view no less than has the ideal popularity. One among the greatest explanations for the growth in companies like XR is definitely the getting developments of women who now have a safe discrete way to get Grownup toys online. You cannot go Erroneous with Grownup toy product sales and the percentage paid out especially for jennasloveshop which can be unbelievable at fifty five% of sale. Not Negative!!

Whether it's fantasy, only for fun, a single evening stand or friendship You will find there's courting website for everyone with just about every fascination possible. Not surprisingly AFF would be the behemoth but there are lots of other options. I prefer to make money with AFF as they personal numerous market market place relationship sites for example alt, bondage, outpersonals, and so on... The just one they don't have Is strictly Goth and for which i like adult date backlinks. Wonderful business also. There are lots of Other people but the primary point Here's this is a very profitable affiliate system especially in the specialized niche particular marketplaces. In the event the relationship internet sites will not provide different area of interest sector courting websites than It isn't well worth endorsing.
Movie on Desire - Online video on desire organizations like aebn, xmovies and videobox are great converters for us. Verify them out for they offer No cost written content to the visitors, niche specific web sites and content which can be classified in pretty much just about every way as well as written content is high quality. All a few are reasonably priced for Anything you get and the businesses are very good at furnishing their affiliate marketers whatever they ask for to bring in more income. youtube
Adult Rentals - Among the best and many underrated beneath-appreciated segments on the adult sector We all know of. Give it some thought! What an incredible market within the Grownup dvd market place. How regarding the netflix of porn? Why netflix would not go During this path I'm not certain but We've got companies that specialize in this subject and best of all they offer awesome payouts for their affiliate marketers. My own favorite is sugardvd but there other terrific kinds such as wantedlist and xrentdvd. All three are great for straight and gay content and all needs to be checked out thoroughly mainly because they are all well worth your time and efforts. This tends to become large Except if the netflix variety businesses of the earth get started executing this. In the event you are among the people that think renting will go away these all also provide streaming movie just as netflix does. Not Negative!
Grownup Small business Possibility Investments
Every one of these Adult Organization Alternatives are fantastic for your personal financial investment; A little expense that may be. I'm not a believer in betting the farm on nearly anything and I preach to all to never make investments extra money than it is possible to find the money for to lose. An argument can be made for almost any of these sorts of Grownup Small business Option investments. I think that for now cams and kink transform much better than almost every other even so the Other folks have favourable arguments that may be produced for investing in them. You can argue Kink information, cams, online video on demand from customers and adult rentals can all be offered away free of charge. This would leave personals and intercourse toys as the two remaining niche marketplaces. Like I reported in advance of I may make an argument For each and every among the list of six categories of this post. Adult Business Chances usually are not all equal and you must execute your research prior to investing a penny in almost any of these.

How to Make Money Online – 4 Powerful and Effective Ways to Generate Income From the Internet
Have you ever wanted to earn another stream of income on the side? Maybe turn it into a full-time income? Have you ever heard about someone you know who makes extra money, a living or a "nice piece of change" from doing something on the web?
If you've answered yes to any of these questions, then this article is just what you've been looking for. In this short overview, we're going to discuss four ways in which anyone, including you, can create an income stream from the internet.
No matter what you do to make money online, there is one core idea that drives it all. Content is King. No matter what you do online, you will be creating quality content. Content is what drives in the dollars, either directly or indirectly. You absolutely must be able to produce something of quality to publish on the web. Whether its text, audio, graphics or video, your content must be good enough to draw people in and keep them engaged. It must be good enough for them to want to share it, or even buy it.
Don't worry, if you don't think you have the ability to create good content, there are many people out there who do. You can easily find someone to hire to help you. More on that later, let's get into our four money-making strategies:
Strategy #1 - Freelance work
No matter what you do, be it writing, video production, website design, graphics design, SEO, internet marketing, public speaking or accounting, there is a freelance website out there that wants you.
Freelance work is one of the most popular ways for people to make extra money on the internet because you can become a part of these websites for free in most cases and there is a huge need.
You can use websites like oDesk, Elance, freelancer, and even niche discussion forums to find paying clients. The only real drawback is you will have to weed through a lot of cheapies. You'd be amazed at how many people want to pay you a penny a word to write an article this size. However, it's okay to take a few low-paying jobs at first just to get your feet wet, and then demand higher wages as your reputation grows.
Strategy #2 - Advertising
Now, when we speak of advertising here, we don't mean that you are the one buying it. On the contrary, what we're referring to here is a program like Google's AdSense. A program where you host ad feeds on your website and receive a commission for every click.
Think of AdSense as sort of the opposite side of the Google AdWords coin. When you have a website that has some good traffic numbers, you can put ad scripts on your pages and Google will feed you advertising. One of the great features of a program like this is that the ads that appear on your pages will be chosen by the programming to match the content of the page. In this way, there is a greater chance of a click and everybody wins.
There are other programs like this one, but AdSense is probably the most popular and effective. It's great for informational websites and blogs.
Strategy #3 - Affiliate programs
Another way for you to benefit from your website or blog's traffic is to enroll in an affiliate program. They work similar to a pay per click payout program like we discussed above.
The big difference is that instead of being paid a few pennies for each click, although this can go up to over a dollar, you are paid when someone clicks one of the ads on your page and then makes a purchase. You will then receive a commission on the sale. This can be quite lucrative depending on the program.
Because of the nature of this sort of program, it allows you to craft specific web pages or whole websites and blogs that match the products or services you are promoting. This makes it a bit easier to market these websites through link building, SEO and other internet marketing methods.
Strategy #4 - Your own websites
If you put in some time and effort, you can build up a large amount of traffic to your own blogs and websites. This is done by using SEO, content creation and publishing, link building and just direct sales and advertising.
If your website sells something, or perhaps you have created a paid membership or service, your internet marketing efforts will eventually bring you customers and a nice stream of revenue.
Of course, the key here is quality. You must create a good website, a professionally done website with quality SEO, quality content and excellent structure. It must act as a virtual sales person.
Before we close this out, there is one more method for making money online we want to share. As we mentioned above, this is a very short list of what's really possible. Consider this, however. You can combine all four of these strategies in your internet money making tactic.
If you are promoting an e-commerce or memberships website, why not throw some AdSense code on some or all of the pages? You might even have a page dedicated to your affiliate partners. And you can offer your freelance services, both on your website and on the many freelance websites out there.
When it comes to the internet, and really any financial success, it's a good idea to create multiple streams of income. This is good both for increasing your revenue and giving yourself a bit of security. If one of your strategies slows down, the others will compensate.
Another benefit of multiple income streams is that even if each one only makes a little money, they add up. And you can reach a nice income level without having to work too hard on one particular thing. Let's say that you earned $500 a month from your freelance work, $250 from your Ad hosting, $400 from your affiliate marketing and your website was creating $350 a month from sale of product or memberships. That would give you a $1,500 per month income. Probably not enough to live on, but tack that onto your regular pay and you have got yourself a nice little side income.
And if you can get to $1,500 a month, you can double that, or triple it, in time. The sky is the limit. We hope this has sparked some creative ideas and that it propels you down a path of internet financial success. Good luck.

A beginner’s guide to building a freelance portfolio
Your freelance portfolio is the most crucial marketing tool you have as a freelancer.
But if you’re a beginner freelancer, you can run into the dreaded Job Seeker’s Paradox: You need experience to get experience.
Luckily, you can get around that — and I’m going to show you how.
How to make a freelance portfolio clients love
Step 1: Create a website
Step 2: Give us your niche
Step 3: Show your work
Step 4: Call to action
Step 5: Include testimonials
6 freelance portfolio examples that get clients
The B2B tech writer
The quirky graphic designer
The versatile videographer
The front-end developer
The expert tap dancer
The band leader
Earn more money with your hustle
How to make a freelance portfolio clients love
With just a few hours of work, you’re going to have a freelance portfolio like the ones that earn some of our readers thousands of dollars each month.
But freelance portfolios are like snowflakes: No two are alike. A copywriter’s portfolio won’t look like a graphic designer’s (and vice versa).
BUT there are underlying systems and principles that go into making a good portfolio for any industry. After all, you’re building your portfolio to cater to a specific audience of potential clients. That applies to any field.
Follow these basic principles and you’ll have a freelance portfolio that’ll bag you clients.
Step 1: Create a website
To create one, you just need two things: A domain name and a website builder.
Domain name
There are many sites out there where you can purchase a domain name. My suggestion: Hover. It has an easy to use interface and provides many affordable domain names.
A perfect domain for handsome content marketers.
Just use your regular name for your domain. Later as you get more clients and worry more about your brand, you can revisit your domain name. But for now, your regular name will do.
Here are a few other great options for domain registrars:
Google Domains. No-nonsense, easy to use domain registrar. Prices starting at $12 / year for a .com.
Namecheap. Domains as cheap as their domain suggests — with some as low as $0.88/year. A .com will run you about $12 / year.
GoDaddy. A tried-and-true domain registrar. A typical .com there runs for around $12 / year.
Website builder
Thanks to website builders, you don’t need to know a bunch of coding knowledge to create your portfolio.
Though the builder you go with might depend on your goals, I suggest WordPress. It’s an incredibly powerful website platform that allows for a lot of customization.
A few other great website builders:
Wix. Easy to use with a lot of customizable features for your website.
Squarespace. Good for showcasing images and graphics. Highly customizable.
Weebly. A ton of great site designs to showcase your portfolio.
For more on creating a website, be sure to check out this article on the topic from our sister site GrowthLab. Once you’re done creating it, it’s time to move on to the next step.
Step 2: Give us your niche
Your portfolio is your opportunity to showcase to the world the type of freelancer you want to be even if you don’t necessarily have experience.
Let’s say you work a regular 9-to-5 job but dream of becoming a freelance writer one day. Your freelance portfolio website should be dedicated to all the work you do as a writer.
Great start. But then you need to niche down your market.
If you want to be a writer, ask yourself: How do I want to position myself as a writer? Copywriter? Content marketer? Blogger? And who are you writing for?
Niche down your specialty and include it on your website. Think about who exactly will be using your services:
How old are they?
Where do they live?
What are their interests?
How much do they make?
What books do they read?
Here are a few examples:
The web designer for pediatric dentists
The videographer for weddings
The caricature artist for business conventions
The content writer for personal finance and development authors
(Hmm that last one seems familiar…)
And don’t worry. If you try something out and don’t find it’s a good fit for you (or your wallet), you can always change your roles. That’s the beauty of freelancing.
Case study: How Brian turned his video hobby into a business
Brian loved to make films — so much so that he enrolled in film school. But halfway through he realized he didn’t have a clue on how to turn his passion into a profitable business.
He understood the technical and artistic side of filmmaking, but he didn’t know how to sell his skills.
So he decided to invest in himself by joining Earn1K, our course on freelancing and earning money on the side.
Within three weeks, Brian knew how to turn his hobby into a marketable business: Producing high-end wedding videos. Armed with this knowledge, he set two goals for himself:
Book three weddings and have one of them be from a couple he didn’t know.
Earn enough to pay for a new camera (about $1,200).
“At the beginning, I was pretty much giving the videos away,” he recalls. “One was free. A couple were $450. By the end of the first season, clients were paying $1,000 for each video. I saw that I was giving people valuable material. They weren’t paying just to help me out. That meant a lot. They really wanted what I was offering.”
He was able to book six clients within a few months. Three of them were people he didn’t know!
With each wedding he filmed, he gained a better sense of how many weddings he needed to book in order to turn a profit and how he could better market his hustle.
“Nobody else is a full-time wedding videographer in my area,” he says. “There’s some people doing commercial and real estate video. But for now I’m sticking with weddings and doing it better than anyone else. My clients appreciate that, and it makes it simpler for me.”
Lesson learned:
Brian niched down his passion of filmmaking into a marketable product of filming high-end wedding videos. By doing so, he turned his hobby into a side hustle earning him thousands of dollars each month.
Once you do the same with your hustle and freelance portfolio, it’s time to actually put samples of your work online for prospective clients to see.
Step 3: Show your work (even if you don’t have any)
This is the core of your portfolio. It’s your opportunity to show potential clients why you’re the right freelancer to hire through work you’ve already done.
Here’s where a beginner freelancer will run into the Job Seeker’s Paradox. Where are you going to find examples of your work to get clients if you’ve never had any work?
Here are two areas I suggest going to in order to find samples for your portfolio:
Create new work for yourself.
Maybe you’re transitioning to a new line of work. Maybe you’re just starting your freelance career from scratch. There’s no reason you can’t create new or mock clips to showcase your skills.
That’s exactly what one of our students, Heidi, did when she crafted a fashion design portfolio that helped her break into the industry.
“I got my start in the industry because I had Adobe Illustrator on my resume along with the portfolio I created,” she says. “I finally felt like my dreams had come true. I could say the words I’ve wanted to say since I was a little girl, ‘I’m a fashion designer.’”
You can do the same for your industry. For example, if you’re a copywriter looking to land nonprofit clients, you might create a 700-word donation email to show your skills.
Really gunning to write for finance blogs? Write a few blog posts based on financial news.
Or maybe you’re a graphic designer looking for big name commercial clients. You might create a flashy ad for Coca-Cola or Nike. In fact, there’s a whole community of people who create unsolicited redesigns for just this purpose.
Having work to show at all is much more important than whether or not they come from a job with an actual client.
Do free client work.
Now it’s an oft-touted rule that if you’re good at something, you never do it for free. I’m here to say forget that rule.
Instead, reframe: It’s totally fine to work for free if you’re working for the right people.
The most important thing for you at the beginning stages of your freelance career is for you to build relationships with clients who can open the door to more opportunities. That means you can work for free with people who are trusted and highly networked in exchange for glowing testimonials or referrals to new clients.
For more on this, check out our article on the topic.
The work you show is the work you will get. If you want to do email marketing, showcase stellar emails you’ve written. If you want to develop apps, link to the apps and software you’ve created.
Now it’s time to let people know how to find you.
Step 4: Craft a call to action
Your portfolio should always include a place for potential clients to contact you via a call to action. This can be on a separate contact page or something as simple as including your name and email address at the top of the portfolio.
Don’t overthink this. Here’s a simple template you can use:
If you like what you see here, I’d love to work with you. Reach out to me at [email protected] with your inquiry and I’ll get back to you soon.
Other things you can include in your contact CTA:
Name
Location
Social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, FB, etc.)
Phone number
Address
A good example of this below:
Source: Rick McClelland
Many website builders such as WordPress and Squarespace include extensions that allow you to create your own contact page that’ll redirect to your email.
The most important thing is to include your CTA somewhere the client can easily find it. Don’t bury it amongst your clips and sample. Just put it at the top of the page or sidebar and you’re golden.
Step 5: Include testimonials
This is a completely optional step as your work can speak for itself — however, having a positive testimonial on your portfolio can give you the social proof you need to get new clients.
A testimonial is a review from previous clients and people you’ve worked with endorsing your work. Think of them like the praise you see from other authors on a book cover. And just like your work samples, feature testimonials from the kinds of clients you want again in the future.
If you don’t have any testimonials yet, that’s okay! Here’s an actual email we used at IWT to get a testimonial:
Subj: Can I quote you for my site?
Hey dude,
Thrilled to hear you’re doing so well with the company and the new direction.
I was wondering if you could give me a quote that I can use on my website – something like:
“Ramit completely changed the direction of our business. He re-focused our attention on our users, helped us figure out several lucrative marketing channels, and ripped apart an idea that would have wasted 6 months of our time. His advice will be worth well over $100,000 — and that was just over one dinner.”
-Mike Jones, Acme Corp
Is that cool?
Thanks,
-Ramit
A few things to note:
Direct. This email is simple and gets to the point. Don’t bog busy people down with things that don’t matter. Keep focused on what you’re asking them for (note the subject line).
Friendly. While the message is focused, it’s friendly. Remember, you’re talking to another person here. That’s why Ramit opened with “Hey dude.” Should you use the same wording? Hell no. But you should keep it casual.
Easy. Ramit made this easy for the person to say yes by including a pre-written testimonial in the email. All they have to do is give the thumbs up. This improves the chances of them responding positively.
While not 100% necessary, a good testimonial can be a very powerful game changer for getting clients.

This graphic design portfolio works exceptionally well by leaning heavily on the visuals that reflect Greg’s quirky, off-beat style. Within just a few seconds of scrolling, you know exactly the kind of work and style he produces — which is a great thing for prospective clients.
The versatile videographer

The front-end developer
WHO: Adam Rasheed
WHAT: Front-end development
WHERE: https://adamrasheed.com/
Great portfolio that tells you exactly what the freelancer does up top: Adam is a front-end developer based in San Diego. And it goes on to provide case studies of different projects he’s worked on and ends strong with a call-to-action with different ways you can contact him.
The expert tap dancer

A beginner’s guide to building a freelance portfolio
Your freelance portfolio is the most crucial marketing tool you have as a freelancer.
But if you’re a beginner freelancer, you can run into the dreaded Job Seeker’s Paradox: You need experience to get experience.
Luckily, you can get around that — and I’m going to show you how.
How to make a freelance portfolio clients love
Step 1: Create a website
Step 2: Give us your niche
Step 3: Show your work
Step 4: Call to action
Step 5: Include testimonials
6 freelance portfolio examples that get clients

Tumblr media
Tumblr media

Have you ever wanted to earn another stream of income on the side? Maybe turn it into a full-time income? Have you ever heard about someone you know who makes extra money, a living or a “nice piece of change from doing something on the web? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, then this article is just what you’ve been looking for. In this short overview, we’re going to discuss four ways in which anyone, including you, can create an income stream from the internet. Don’t worry, if you don’t think you have the ability to create good content, there are many people out there who do. You can easily find someone to hire to help you. More on that later, let’s get into our four money-making strategies: Strategy #1 – Freelance work No matter what you do, be it writing, video production, website design, graphics design, SEO, internet marketing, public speaking or accounting, there is a freelance website out there that wants you. You’d be amazed at how many people want to pay you a penny a word to write an article this size. However, it’s okay to take a few low-paying jobs at first just to get your feet wet, and then demand higher wages as your reputation grows. Strategy #2 – Advertising Now, when we speak of advertising here, we don’t mean that you are the one buying it. On the contrary, what we’re referring to here is a program like Google’s AdSense. It’s great for informational websites and blogs. Strategy #3 – Affiliate programs Another way for you to benefit from your website or blog’s traffic is to enroll in an affiliate program. Strategy #4 – Your own websites If you put in some time and effort, you can build up a large amount of traffic to your own blogs and websites. As we mentioned above, this is a very short list of what’s really possible. When it comes to the internet, and really any financial success, it’s a good idea to create multiple streams of income. This is good both for increasing your revenue and giving yourself a bit of security. If one of your strategies slows down, the others will compensate. Another benefit of multiple income streams is that even if each one only makes a little money, they add up. And you can reach a nice income level without having to work too hard on one particular thing. Let’s say that you earned $500 a month from your freelance work, $250 from your Ad hosting, $400 from your affiliate marketing and your website was creating $350 a month from sale of product or memberships. Good luck. Source by Scott W Cook
