season 2 of good omens feels like an unfinished hurt/comfort aziraphale/crowley fanfic where the b and c pairings get together before the main couple does (so they can generate more tension until their happy reunion). i mean this neither as a compliment or a criticism it's just a neutral statement of fact

#quite frankly i am surprised at how fully this season embraced the fact that it is about shipping. like it's only there to promote shipping #the first season was actually about like. other stuff as well... and had characters that did unrelated things #because it's based on the novel and the novel is not solely focused on aziraphale and crowley playing gay chicken forever #but now it's like... literally just giving the people more of what they liked on season one. it's kind of deranged and bold in a way #don't think i've seen another show do this
