There is little that annoys me more than the snotty, pretentious, self-important paragraphs that adults on the internet love to direct at the faceless children they imagine are clinging to their every word.

You’re lecturing to the air. All that talk and you’re nothing but a pearl-clutching school-psa at best and a big scary dickhead chasing people off your proverbial lawn with a broom shouting “shoo! shoo!!” at worst.

#I don’t know what’s worse #the whinging about how scary and dangerous the world is and insistence that ‘’minors’’ can’t think for themselves #a category of people that can be stretched to concern as many people as you feel comfortable preaching to #including full grown adults #or the absolute assholes that have no real interest in making the world livable for kids and seem to believe that they should just #locked in the basement until they’re ‘’old enough’’ to treat like adults #because g-d forbid you have to share the world with a crying baby or curious six year old #and g-d forbid you feel responsible for anyone or anything in your community
