"Now if you'll excuse us, we best be going," Matthew said, beckoning at his sister from the bottom of the hill "Between the two dog's there's several dozen ticks due to be plucked off and murdered and I'd hate to be late to dinner."

"Is that a time consuming activity?" Alastair asked, bemused.

"Indeed," Matthew replied pleasantly, clipping the leather lead to Oscar's collar, "Besides, I can feel my gorgeous porcelain complexion beginning to wither beneath that sun."
