Caleb thinks for a moment. He remembers the name, but it doesn’t seem quite right. It must be a nickname. “Uh-Jester?”

“Jester? Lavorre?”

Caleb shrugs. “How many Jesters can there be in this school?”

“Was she way too enthusiastic--blue hair?”

“That’s the one.”

“Huh.” Beauregard doesn’t elaborate. “Huhh.”

“Do you know her?”

“Yup.”

“Care to share?”

“Nope.”

Caleb shrugs. “Are you alright, friend?”

Beauregard lets out a half laugh and fidgets with the spirals in her ears. “You know, you can just call me Beau.”

“Are you alright, Beau?”

“As alright as you are, I think...”

tattoo parlor/flower shop au : when best friends beau and jester decide to open a tattoo parlor together, and renovate the apartment upstairs to live in, they never expected that they would start a full on feud with the flower & tea shop next door ( or find the workers they’re feuding with so cute ). it’s jester who accidentally starts the fight, leaving her music on extra loud one day while she’s tattooing and causing both yasha and fjord to get a ton of complaints from the customers who go to clay flower & tea for a little peace. she meets fjord that day and can practically feel the heart eyes she has for him before he accidentally insults her and draws even more of her ire. when beau goes next door to try and smooth things over ( notoriously her strong suit ) she can’t help but forget why she’s even there when she meets the manager, yasha. it’s only then that the best friends know that they’re in real trouble.
