Arlen was stunned. Never in his life did he see (or even imagine) a person lit up like the forth of July! Firstly, it just didn't make a damn lick of common sense; secondly, this display made Beau wonder whether he'd ever really known the slightest thing about Cassiopeia—
If that was her name.
The county sheriff tried to speak, but his throat clenched up on him.
"Psh. I don't even wanna tell anybody. 'side, even if I did feel like snitchin', nobody'd believe me anyway... I mean, if I lay the Texas in me on thick, I c'n pretty much get people to believe anything I say, but this goes way beyond any old thing..."
Beau raised a finger as he took a short burst of air into his tremulous lungs. "I'm not gonna go runnin' off, but I do need a minute to process... I'm scared, I'm not going to lie about that, but I put my faith in you once, Moonstone, and this ain't a reason for me to collect... I just want you... to know that..."

𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐬 𝐄́𝐭𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐚 | 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐜
ʚ charles leclerc x female reader
ʚ there is nothing your daughter loves more than the stars, charles makes sure she gets to see them every night
ʚ no warnings, just very sweet dad!charles and fluffy:)
ʚ i feel like this might be sloppy but here is a little dad!charles blurb, im in a writing mood so you might see a few things come out soon<3
“Papa, regarde combien d'étoiles!!”
Charles smiled at the excitement behind his daughter Alia’s voice, she absolutely loved the stars. Every night he would set up your balcony with blankets and pillows, making it perfect for you and your daughter to stargaze.
You looked over at the two of them, Alia was resting her head on Charles’s chest, her eyes watching the sky as she pointed to different constellations
“Maman are you looking too?” Alia smiled, sending you a glance
“Of course I am baby, there are lots of starts tonight aren’t there?”
“Yes!! Do you see the big dipper?”
Charles laughed, he never understood how she got so good with the constellations in the sky
“No, show me love”
Alia was quick to move over to where you were within the mountain of blankets, giving Charles the opportunity to scoot closer to you so the three of you could cuddle up together
“Okay maman regarde ça”
She pointed a little finger into the sky, pointing out a series of stars before settling on the big dipper
Your french wasn’t totally fluent yet, but Alia and Charles spoke mostly in french which helped you as well to get better with the language. Though your husband did remind your little girl sometimes to speak in english to you, just to give your brain a little break.
Even though you never complained.
“Quel est ton préfère?”
“Um….”
Alia thought about it for a second, her head resting in her hands
“Cass-uh cassei-papa je besoin d’aide…”
Charles smiled kissing her cheek softly
“Oui!! C’est ça papa!!”
A smile spread on your face watching the excitement fill her eyes as her father had helped her figure out the name of the constellation. It truly was moments like these that were your favourite, watching Alia begin to talk more about the stars, her eyes never leaving the sky, even as you leaned over and pressed a kiss to Charles’s cheek.
“You are the world’s best dad..thank you for making her so happy”
You watched as a blush spread on his cheeks before he placed his lips on yours, kissing you softly
“You two are my whole world, I love you more than you know”
“We love you too, so much my love”
There really wasn’t anywhere else in the world you’d rather be than right here, cuddled up amongst the blankets listening to your baby girl spew all her knowledge on the stars. She was yours and Charles’s whole universe, no amount of starts or constellations could ever equate to the love you both had for her.
Alia truly was the greatest gift to happen to your family and no night sky, would ever beat that.

Coup de projecteur sur...
Sons of the Trident
@Cassiopeia Fontaine : "............. [Perso off, joueuse one] On est trooooop badasse les gars ! On nage trop bien.

Beau swallowed—Kind of a LOADED question, he thought. Was there anything about Cassiopeia that wasn't beautiful? Oh, and that part about the warmth? Yeah. It made him sorta fidgety... Fidgety, ' 'cause we don't blush in Texas', according to Beau.
Once faced with her open hand, he saw no way but onward. So, albeit slowly, he approached closer and stood on tip-toed boots to meet her where she hovered off the ground. Eventually, he laid four fingers across the lady's palm.
"... Looks sorta like the northern lights..." he said, a slight tilt of his head. They'd talked a hundred thousand times if they'd talked once, and yet because of this thing with the aurora in her it felt as though he was breaking some ice here. He didn't want to feel that way. Not about her of all people. Hell, he'd bought a Casio watch he didn't need only for the fact the name reminded him of hers.
"You are warmer than usual..." A sigh, nonplussed. "Though about that, I ain't complainin'..." Even in summertime, he sometimes could catch a chill in the air. Especially outdoors. But they were in, as it happened. Face to face, he could not—Well, could, but would not—take his eyes off hers. Thus indeed he saw the mounting hope in them.

"... I'm more 'an used to getting the information I need, piece by piece... though that's not to say I wouldn't rather have it all upfront, any day... But that's work... with you... it's different..." To clarify, yes. He'd rather wait. Time-sensitive could swing both ways... Some things, like an investigation, needed to be solved as soon as possible in order to keep lives involved safe. Other things, like a relationship (of any nature), needed long contemplation over quick-thinking in order for all to end well.
Beau listened to what she had to say, noting how a frown on Cas' face almost seemed more out of place than the festival of lights illuminating the layers of her skin from the inside-out. Little things like that, no matter left unsaid, was proof that Arlen cared about her emotional well-being as much as he did her physical health.
By the time she opened her arms, he nodded—Ultimately giving a cautious smile. The two of them shared the same hope, after all.
