I briefly explored Yahya having a carnivore lover here.

This is a bit short. My headcanons haven't changed much since then— at the same time though, I didn't wish to be redundant and just repeat what I said before.

Things To Note

Carnivores may not know Yahya by name, but they have all heard about the Black Devil.

If carnivores are hellspawn, then the Black Devil is hell itself.

As a carnivore, you have heard stories about him. Stories are hard to forget, and it will be a while until you are comfortable around your lover.

Likewise, Yahya has quite a few problematic views of his own. This isn't a case of “true love can fix him”— this is a case of “he needs to get professional help”.

He's always had problems dealing with negative emotions— especially when it came to carnivores.

Bottom line: the both of you will need to be patient with each other. Honesty is the best policy — at least, if either of you want this relationship to work.

Emotional Hurdles

Yahya is a very emotional creature.

His emotions are raw, and raw emotions tend to fester and grow into animosity over time. And then, they die out.

But with Yahya, his emotions don't die— they are buried. Like a poison, they seep into his daily actions, and into his beliefs, where he always manages to justify his feelings.

Case in point: Yahya held a violent grudge against carnivores, and against interspecies relationships all because an interspecies relationship came in between his friendship with Gosha, a carnivore.

This being said, expect Yahya to project that animosity onto a carnivorous partner.

Similarly, expect a carnivore S/O to be fearful of Yahya at first— the Black Devil is just that; a devil.

Alternatively, Yahya’s partner may feel guilty over their relationship with him.

Every carnivore knows that he kills their kind; and gets away with it. You know this, and yet, you still allow yourself to be in a relationship with him.

Wouldn't that make you a traitor to carnivore-kind, in a sense?

You have to fight off these thoughts often.

The Garden

I can imagine Yahya warning his lover about the Garden.

Perhaps he would specify that “vicious carnivores” serve as the fertilizer. But of course, his S/O isn't a vicious carnivore, so, they don't have anything to worry about.

Right?

Courtship

Yahya doesn't have too much experience with courtship, but he gives it his best shot.

He may even swallow his pride and ask Gosha for assistance.

He doesn't know whether or not carnivores have different traditions, and he doesn't wish to offend you in any way.

He's also not a very affectionate person, but he would be willing to cuddle if you initiated it.

He grows to enjoy your affection, but, it takes him a long while before he's able to admit it.
