Diana smiles softly. She takes a seat on the stoop beside him. "Stark asked me to come and check on you. He felt that an outsider my have a better chance in helping you-." She softly adds. "What's wrong?"

Drogon used a wing talon to pick some meat from between his teeth.

Shireen watched Drogon's action in open fascination, sat before the dragon in something like contentment. For, surely, no one would dare attempt to hurt her while she was in the presence of her giant friend. She was safe here, and, the child thought rather happily, liked well enough by the creature she had stumbled across...

"Have we been feeding you enough?" she gazed up at him, innocently concerned. "You're not hungry, are you?"

Jodie ambled into a pub with every intention of getting drunk. She'd had a dull day cutting client's hair, and was relieved that her shift was finally over. Taking a seat at one of the barstools, she ordered a cinnamon whiskey. She drank her beverage quickly, and then took a look further to her left where a man sat alone. Throwing caution to the wind, the Vampire grabbed her glass and went to sit next to him. "Hi! Are you drinking alone, or waiting for a friend?"

Beast Boy and Terra were sitting on the couch watching a film while the other Titans were out doing other things. Beast Boy liked to have alone time with Terra.

Terra snuggled up to him as the movie went one. She always enjoyed having some alone time with Beast Boy. "This is nice." she commented.

Hulk sat alone in the woodlands of northern Canada he had been not in the best of moods lately due to trouble with many politicians distrusting him, so he had come here to get away from it all.

Diana was told exactly where to find the Hulk. "Mind if I join you?" She softly asks. His somber stance is not lost upon the former Amazonian.

Drogon was sleeping near a forest after catching himself food. He was full and thus not likely to consider eating a human.

Shireen looked up at him, hugging her stag to her chest for comfort. She had heard that dragons had returned, as much as her father had dismissed such things, and now here was the proof of it... She tried to tiptoe away, but could not help the crunch of twigs snapping and leaves crumpling beneath her feet...

While she had no need to fear fire, she certainly had to avoid huge, sharp teeth...

Clutching her figurine tighter and tighter to herself, she tried to keep her breathing steady and to get as far away as possible. Which likely wasn’t going to be very far...

Can you provide evidence for John Adams and his wife Abigail Adams being homophobic? I've recently read that they might have been.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. This isn't my area of expertise.

I know it's quite fashionable now to say that John and Abigail Adams were homophobic because of things they wrote about their son, Charles, who they thought was inappropriately attached to Baron von Steuben, a revolutionary war hero who was probably what we nowadays would call gay. The Baron lived a lavish lifestyle in a house often filled with adoring young men, some of whom were his lovers. Whether John and Abigail were worried about Charles because his sexual behavior was inappropriate or because he was more interested in partying and hanging around with people who enabled his alcoholism than pursuing a career is hard to say.

As the author points out, there is enough talking around a sore subject to merit the idea that the subject is Charles' sexuality, and the relief everyone feels when he finally marries a woman is a little too extreme. Personally, I'd be surprised if all that partying with the Baron didn't end up with a little fooling around from time to time, maybe even more, given how much Charles seems to have admired him. However, the letters also address what his parents saw as his lack of ambition and alcoholism. I think John and Abigail were much like modern parents of teenage or college-aged kids who start partying, doing drugs, having lots of casual sex— especially if it's the kind that could damage a reputation—getting into trouble, and not putting enough effort into becoming a responsible adult. You can disagree with that stance, but I think it's wrong to lump it all under a "homophobia" category.

I suspect that if Charles had managed to discreetly balance his affair (whether it was sexual or simply emotionally excessive) with the Baron with career success, sobriety, and a reasonably happy marriage (regardless of whatever he got up to on the side), John and Abigail might have looked the other way regarding his sexuality, but people who know a lot about the Adamses might think differently.

In the end, I think they disowned him for reasons far more complicated than whatever he liked in bed. They might have been prudish (by our standards), but they seem to have been pretty loving parents. He did, after all, end up dying of alcoholism at a young age, which to me is a pretty strong indicator that at least some of their concerns were well-placed and they were doing the best they could to help a troubled son.
