the thing about them that works so well is they view each other as equals in a very physical and combative sense. their understanding of one another lends to a ‘love language’ that’s pretty much 60% physical affection. and that’s terrifically rare for kitty, because her aversion to touch, especially where male presenting individuals are concerned, is a real part of her. she’s absolutely viciously against it. but there’s a factor here that happens with the wild crash of lightning that is their whole relationship, and it’s the fact that they speak to each other physically. touches are how they communicate. loudly and softly. in enormous embraces and passionate kisses and ferocious nuzzles and booming growls. they clash and yet it is never violently. they clash and yet it’s sanctioned by them both in what is only love, love without language.

her respect for him is unique. she doesn’t often respect immortals — it’s not in her to do so because she’s known too many arrogant ones she’d prefer not to associate with. it’s mortality she respects — the courage to live such contained lives, but immortality is nothing. it goes without consequence. but her bloodbond to berengar is something she’s finally reached the stage to think of it as equal. where she isn’t subservient to him, and he would never want her to be. lest i remind the vikingr world that kitty ties in with strong odin energy and it means everyone is after her for thirty five thousand reasons or another. and berengar’s respect for her in turn, giving her such a lofty title at his side, elevating her to his equal.

they’re so greatly important to one another. and they could be gone for thousands of years only to find each other again and feel as though every time they gaze upon one another it is merely oh. i’ve missed you.

JanDragon2021 Day 1 - Progenitor/Oldest

Here is Grimm, my custom progen and therefore oldest dragon. He/Him, Straight, dragon equivalent of married.

He's a work in progress in terms of appearance. But i'll get there eventually.

I haven't writen a proper lore for him yet but the general idea is that he's a treasure hunter who keep accidentally adopting every lost dragon he comes accross. He is married to his oldest work partner Ekael, and together they had several children. They all left except his eldest child Misarte, who was born with primal (yup, primal on my first hatch) and uses their superior magic skills to help his parents in their hunts.

Grimm is rather silent, hiding under a grumpy persona but is actually a loving husband, father and friend. He, along his wife and child, used to be Faes before they became Nocturnes, Fae's frailness being too dangerous to keep with their chosen lifestyle. They still have a hard time expressing their emotions to other dragons.

Grimm befriends beasts who might be useful in his treasure hunts. His current targeted beast to befriend is Elsie, a Kelpie mare who lives in a lake reputed for it's riches hidden at the bottom. And it's deadly residents.
