How much to share?
As I stated I lived here before; I moved from Michigan to Florida in 2002, and I had moved down to Florida to start a satellite office for a company I was then working for. When I first moved here, I loved it. As I said it was very healing and so different than where I was living in Michigan. Michigan, has some of the most wonderful summers but the winters are brutal, about 6 months of gloomy weather, no sun for long periods of time, which can be depressing at times. Florida was so different and the weather was wonderful in comparison, it was so great to live by the beach and in nature. Melbourne Beach is a very small beach community and it is not a big metropolis area and we soon found out it was called Melboring. But to me it was not, it was just what I needed to heal and feel better.
Soon after settling in, the company I worked for had decided they didn’t want a satellite office and to be honest I was happy to part ways, as the insurance business really was not my passion. At that time I was 29 years old and still had no idea what my passion was and where my talents lay. However, I was figuring out what I didn’t want to do for a living. By this time, I have had a ton of jobs. While in college, I had worked at Olive Garden (waitress), Hudson’s dpt store (deli), subway sandwich shop (sandwich artist), Shar Products Company (receptionist), Information Transfer Systems (telemarketer), and Godiva Chocolatier (retail). After college; Avis Rent a car (shift manager), Einstein Bagels (manager), Lonestar Restaurant (bartender), M&O marketing (the insurance company - Brokerage Manager) and Hertz Local Edition (shift manager again). After all those jobs, again I still didn’t know what my passion was and most of those jobs were just awful, a couple were horrible experiences; #metoo could have come a lot sooner! I could write a book about the awful places I have worked in.
However, after the last awful place, I had finally found something I enjoyed doing and what later turned into my passion!
