ohhh hey, i just remembered that, before i even played night in the woods for the first time, i was pretty into the maebea pairing. just based on what i knew of the story. and a little while before i bought the game, i was thinking about the two of them and having emotions™ while listening to "by your side" by the beachwood sparks. reflecting on that now, that could be a song mae plays/sings for bea? maybe? it's soft? like them?

... heh. i didn't even consider that if mae did sing by your side, she could replace "baby" in the lyrics with "beabea". also, the band practice breakdown thing has made me imagine bea getting legitimately a little emotional in this scenario, and mae being worried and panicking for a second. but it's a nice tender moment.
