i think what bothers me so deeply about white queers specifically from urban areas talking about how they’re going to detransition/desist or go back into the closet is that like. the last time i tried to do that, i had an active plan to kill myself, and seeing people in as good as or better places than myself say they’re so afraid to go outside when realistically a lot of us are going to be fine, like fucked but also able to live fairly normally, is just making it seem like everyone is in that mindset when they will be fine. wheras the people of color and rural queers and disabled folk are treated as though they’re in the same situation…

idk. many of us dont need to pretend to be cishet yet, and this doomerism is nothing but unproductive and some would argue counterproductive.

you’re angry? you’re scared? good. hold onto that feeling and do something other than assimilate and get quiet.
