NO but this works so well it works so well okay.
(Disclaimer, all of this is about the character and not the content creator! And I’m also just rambling so this might not 100% make sense)
Tango in 3rd Life: drifts from party to party, doesn’t really have any allegiances, ends up sticking with Cleo and Bdubs for the most part but also not really officially, dies randomly with no big flare or drama and it’s like “well THAT was a waste of time.”
So he thinks that next time he’ll join a team! In Last Life he stumbles into Skizz and they form a duo, and then Etho and Bdubs join and they’re team BEST! But then Scar and Bdubs need lives and Skizz is constantly calling on Tango to be a savior even when Tango shows reservations or downright frustration, and it all culminates in getting turned on by someone he thought he could trust, the same person Skizz had begged Tango to feed lives to. Another pointless death wraps it all up.
Skizz isn’t in double life but that doesn’t stop Tango from having a series filled with setbacks, starting from the first explosion-caused death, the burning ranch, hearing people mock Jimmy his soulmate, and ending with him dying randomly in a forest somewhere with no witnesses. They have no true allies in that game either.
Limited Life: Skizz and Etho are back, Bdubs keeps trying to sneak his way back into the dynamic. Tango desperately is trying to survive at this point and MAKE something of himself with this game but he’s hunted down by yellows and Skizz, instead of trying to help him hide like Etho does, demands that Tango GIVE HIM HIS LIFE so Skizz can have more time. This also is the season where Tango shows a bit of bitterness over the boogey death by Bdubs and gets a revenge boogey kill specifically bringing up that past death, so he didn’t forget! Skizz gets a noble, sacrificial death. Tango trips over a bump in the grass and falls on his own sword.
By the time Secret Life rolls around, Tango is forced to shack up with Skizz because nobody else is around, but Skizz isn’t his first choice. The games start out cutesy because of tasks and he says he’ll do the heart gifting thing, but once again, it is Skizz’s idea. He is also notably more aggressive as shown in the zombie hoard episode. He dies meaninglessly AGAIN when Scar knocks a block out from under him without warning.
throughout all of these games, Tango has always been one of the most, if not THE most, loyal person to whatever team he’s in, if he has one. He has taken hits for the others constantly and he usually bows to whatever scheme or idea Skizz comes up with. Now, he’s had enough. Now, Tango rejects teaming with Skizz and he’s decided to show Skizz “HOW DO YOU LIKE LOSING A LIFE, HUH?” Kind of like how villain Scar was made in Secret Life, we might get chaos/villain Tango in this season who decides to take more agency in whatever he’s doing. Maybe he joined the weird Ethubs situation so he would be able to do more of his own stuff without worrying about affecting the team dynamic, because the true dynamic in Team BET doesn’t really factor Tango in it at all.
Anyways, I am VERY excited to see what kind of monster this series has released in Tango. I bet there will be many more shenanigans to come, even if he doesn’t win!
i really like how tango went from being betrayed to being the betrayer
it started with him being killed by bdubs in last life (i know it was a boogey kill but still) (i also know he killed bdubs in lim life but that was deserved)
to killing skizz in wild life for NO reason other than just killing him
there is so much angst potential from this lol
