I dont think the crew ever really knew what to do with Lapis. Apparently they planned stuff rather early during Mirror/Ocean Gem but a lot of it was dropped to the wayside as the series went it.

ehh while i would get that for later s3 and s4, i like her s5 arc. her issues with earth never actually got resolved and they gave her raising the barn, cant go back, and the little moment in reunited. though you can argue she shouldve gotten a big series of episodes dedicated to her like peridot did (imagine. IMAGINE.), its that difference that fuels her later conflict.

im sorry i didnt get to this earlier, i was waiting to be more awake but im literally getting worse LOL. but it made me so happy ;_; thank you thank you thank you, for being far too kind abt my art 😭 im so fuckingglad i finally got a tablet during my crazy ass wayhaven renaissance because there could not be a sweeter group of people to share stuff with 🫂♥️

for the oc ask… well i just gotta do dev/mason theyre in my minds microwave 24/7 rn (hope the ceiling fan falls on them btw)

some of this is a bit more association than true description of character bc i could go on forever listing stuff for both of them.. but for dev w mason it would be two big things at their current standstill:

- marlboro reds; her favourite — she is in the middle of quitting smoking in book 1 so him constantly lighting up with her cigs of choice, as well as just being rude and grating on her already thin nerves, drove her barking mad insane. by book 2 she is floundering hard and asks for one after he shows up at the station. when he says no and that she’s supposed to be quitting she gets a bit pissed and makes him put out smokes anytime thereafter out of pettiness. also reds…… strong, numbingly intense, addictive, etc. sums up the early stages of their arrangement :D

- definitely the wolf cub from the carnival game! deva is hugely sentimental (to a concerning degree — she is a hoarder yay disaster apartment option) though would never admit to it. she still keeps raggedy decades old stuffed animals from when rook was around that she just cannot say goodbye to 🤦‍♀️ and she refuses to let herself get attached to mason on any meaningful emotional level so those budding feelings in book 3 kind of manifest on the wolf cub without her realizing it (i was so glad there’s a little part abt the detective saving their carnival prize after the apartment gets flooded because Very Deva, that thang is her whole support network) (plus when mason inevitably bails during the night she has smth to cuddle because objects dont leave no sir . Rebecca get this girl a therapist)

- and one smaller thing im still playing w is red jasper crystal 🙇🏻‍♀️

maybe she sees them in the crystal store. I colour pick from these when i draw him LOL

for mason wrt deva — not an object but just straight up chaos tbh. at where they are in book 3 i imagine every time he sees the detective his brain is going question mark question mark. and hes definitely not sentimental in the way Dev is that certain objects would have any sort of emotional stir in reminding him of her. mason definitely goes more on how she makes him feel; really fucking good, really fucking confused, really fucking messy (like her apartment which he HAAAAATES), and on a few occasions now… weirdly serene. cant make sense of it; doesnt even understand why hes bothering TRYING to make sense of it but here he is and it’s happening and it has never happened before and THAT is probably the best way he could encapsulate her at this point in their relationship… other than, yknow, encapsulating in other ways 🫢

This character development in clarke is something else like remember when she talked about the grounders wanting finn out in the open and not in private causing a huge public uproar. Look at her now talking in private with Lexa about the missile. Phenomenal character growth if you ask me.

ok wow so you’ve got a whole lot of requests here but i cant answer all of them in the same ask??? bc thatll literally be like 20 pages worth of text in one ask???? so im gonna hold onto all those requests except for this last one that u described in detail so i hope u dont mind and heres your list!!

so the dynamic goes so far that you’re pretty much placed in like your gen ed classes based on your status like nerds are in all the AP classes, preps are in advanced classes, and jocks/punks are split between the basic level or remedial classes. on rare occasions a jock might end up in an advanced math class or a prep will end up in remedial english

nico, a well known punk, ends up in the same prep english class as will and piper and everyone refuses to speak with him or partner with him on assignments and nobody ever even wants to sit next to him

Will’s never been a fan of the whole dynamic the school has but he cant speak out against it or he’ll lose his status and all of his friends, and hes so afraid that he’s gonna get disowned when his teacher partners him and nico for a big project

they have to get together a lot after school to work on this project but they can’t do it in public in case somebody sees them and wills mom doesnt want some punk in her house so they go to nicos all the time

after like,, the first hour of just hanging out and doing homework, theyve both developed some giant crushes on each other but theyre both afraid to say anything so when will leaves the goodbye is very long and tense and kinda awkward but theyre gonna see each other again the next day so its fine

when theyre together again a few days later will cant focus on the project at ALL bc nicos hair is tied back and he keeps tapping the end of his pencil against his lips and wills just like “hey nico i think i like you. like a lot” and nico stares at him for a minute and will panics and goes “sorry forget i said anything please dont tell anyone i dont wanna lose all my friends” and nicos like “wait no i like you too” and they don’t get anymore work done that day bc they make out on nicos bed instead

so about a week later wills hanging out with piper who asks how working with nico is going and will like eases into it to gauge pipers reaction and soon enough hes like “and we’ve been– well not really dating but we’ve been kissing each other instead of doing homework for the last week” and hes terrified about what pipers about to say but shes like “holy cow thats GREAT im so glad somebody else is against the whole dynamic!! this is perfect you have to go public!! you could fix the whole school!!” and wills like whoa wait hold on a second

the next day between classes will and nico sneak a kiss under the stairs where they dont think anyone can see but drew is walking by right then and sees it and waits around the corner for nico to leave and then traps will and tells him that she saw everything and that he’ll have to beg for forgiveness for breaking the dynamic and wills a little terrified but hes like “beg for forgiveness?? who r u the pope??” and leaves for class

He texts nico that drew caught them so nico replies “so i guess ur fun is over right and youre gonna break up with me” and wills like “no!! absolutely not i really really like you and i’d rather lose my status than break up with you!!” so nico asks if he wants to go public bc hes ok with it if thats what will wants and will says he wants to think about it

English is their last class of the day so when will walks in he sits down right next to nico and mitchell looks back at him from the front of the room and hes like “will what are you doing” and will leans over and kisses nico square on the lips and nicos a little surprised but he goes “oh so we’re going public then” and kisses will back

word gets out super quick and by the end of the day theres a bunch more couples that broke the dynamic that are publicly dating and its all thanks to will and nico

The character you never expected to love so much:

- hux and kylo.....i walked out of my first tfa viewing thinking “finally for the first time in my life i haven’t fallen for every villain in the movie and am rooting exclusively for the good guys! :)”, judging my now ex b*yfriend for thirsting after kylo, fast forward 2 yrs and here i am smh. mostly hux too bc i didn’t even remember his name at first and now he’s literally my favorite out of the entire franchise (rae sloane being a very close second)

- fanon draco made it so i’ll never be able to look at canon draco in the way he was intended to be looked at again. i got into drarry almost immediately after reading the books (i think books up to ootp were out at the time) but didn’t completely change my perspective on & start fiercely loving draco until my 2nd fandom phase years later (2014ish-now) 

- amethyst tbh. she was kinda annoying in the first eps/seasons but when we saw more of her backstory and personal issues i was just. i’d die for her. would’ve said jasper but lbr i was gay as fuck for her the moment i saw her, and the tragic backstory unlocked in the latest eps is just a pleasant bonus

The character you relate to most:

same as @mishavi i can’t say i REALLY relate to characters, as fandom for me is a way to rest and distract myself from reality and heavily projecting onto it would’ve been counterproductive in that sense, but i can still list some

- as i’ve said in a similar tag meme some time ago, the closest i can pick is finn bc i too could never make peace with and accept the shitty concepts and ideologies i was raised with, but i’m not about to pretend that the hell he went through is in any way on a similar level with my experiences. 

- and again, fanon draco for the same reasons lmao. i guess the closest canon char would be sirius but idrk about that, i’m way too cowardly and calculating to be as outwardly rebellious

9. book or movie moments that made you the most sad? TBH I'm not a fan on how the jacob/Bella/Edward thing played out because I felt like everyone was just getting hurt and drug through mud, intentionally or not 
10. opinions/ thoughts on life and death? I actually really really liked it! I didn't know it was a thing and randomly found it and I read it in less than a day

(sorry but ur like one of the blogs i follow that are su related so im dumping this on you) is it just me or did it seem like Yellow was referencing Pink being a big fan of quartz? As if other gems dont produce as many quartz for whatever reason and that was Pink's sort of "job" as a diamond? bc like... i really want that to be the case...

yeah, as far as i know all those quartz guards in the human zoo belonged to pink diamond, as well as the jasper we know of originally belonging to pink diamond. maybe she just liked big buff quartzes? i dunno
