whats up guys i am, as always, doing the most for no good reason
#my unis theatre group has carrie in its top 3 musical choices for their spring show#and carrie is my favorite musical of all time#and i signed the expression of interest form for directing impulsively for shits and gigs#but uh.#well the email said to feel free to bring any materials or ideas#and long story short i have a 4 page google doc w ideas ab everything and options for how to make the blood drop work#and also reference images from multiple carrie productions and what i like from them#bc they emailed me saying they'd like to interview to discuss more#and so my brain. says i need to show im Ready and Able (not sure either of those r true)#im a little worried it'll be too much but also. i wanna show im prepared and committed idk#i want this so bad#i saw my hyperfixation musical in the top 3 and said i have to get to work#ive been submitting this show for years its the first time its been a real contender#and i cant really audition for it bc im. i would've been able to play sue pre transition and she was a dream role#but my voice and appearance cant do a girl role now but also isnt far enough to do billy or tommy#Maybe ensemble but probably not#so i have to go All In on the prod side#so anyway. havent been here bc im obsessing ab something that has a Low Chance of happening
