Hm. Talking to a nice guy and wondering if my kneejerk revulsion of people (especially men) even slightly suggesting they want to take care of me is part of why I keep dating losers dgskdn

#daily life with mercy #I have had a lot of people try to be my dad to try to get closer to my mom and I am Sick Of It #and people often do have a motive if they get TOO caretaker-y out the gate #but yk maybe if someone hears that I'm inexperienced in a field and excitedly starts talking about it bc I'm a fresh audience #maybe they're just excited dgsksnd #I think I have a healthy level of suspicion now that I've stopped nuking relationships before they even start #bc someone had the audacity to ask if they could help me dhdmdm
