i am SCREAMING about the newest chapters, i don’t know how to feel!!!

(long-ass spoiler ramble about 15/16 under the cut)

i’m kinda squicked out about the whole descendant thing but i guess at least they made mc a distant relative down a bunch of generations instead of like, actually just lilith reincarnated or something? because i was definitely scared of that too. but it’s still weird. i wish they’d pick either the romantic angle or the family angle, i’d be okay with either but both really don’t mesh for me.

belphie what the actual fuck though!! i am a fool and a buffoon and i actually trusted you. honestly i probably shouldn’t have, considering he made it very clear that he hates humans. but 😔 i wanted to believe he actually appreciated the help even from a human... i don’t like the total 180 he did though and everyone acting like it was totally okay, i mean, he would have killed mc and thought it was hilarious it weren’t for barbatos’ time travel shenanigans.

then suddenly, “oh they have a connection to lilith!” and everyone including belphie loves them and mc is supposed to just be fine and dandy with that? they’re not lilith though. mc is their own person and everyone sucking up to them isn’t recognizing that because they miss and feel guilty about their sister.

i’m glad someone pointed out in the actual dialogue that mc was uncomfortable bc holy fuck i sure would be. i already was honestly just watching. everyone was so happy but it felt wrong. there’s definitely still more to this and i really hope it gets addressed that everyone’s treating mc like they’re lilith instead of their own person because it’s getting really weird to me.

speaking of there being more though what is UP with barbatos??? he can see all of the past and future and alter reality at will? and he’s a butler? sir i believe you are overqualified for this job, just a bit. that’s just a crazy op ability and i REALLY wanna know more about him now. i already did but the interest has been dialed up a lot with that reveal 👀
