lying about your identity to win arguments online and justify questionable fanfiction is honestly the natural conclusion that tumblr's specific culture and arguments tend to encourage. like of course this happened. of course it did. it's definitely happened before AND since. someone was unmasked several years ago for rakefacing on here too, tho I don't think it was fanfic related

#especially in like ~2016 #idpol based politics are kind of dhaky and usually need to backed up by actual arguments right...but you don't always see that on here #bc if ur a rich white american girl you view them as tools to win an argument hence the racefaking. and everything else faking #not ALWAYS. like ppls lived experiences do genuinely deserve respect and consideration #but it depends on the argument/context/etc. and this girl saw a way to take that respect and leverage it to win petty internet arguments #in order to avoid criticisms for writing HIV HAMILTON FANFICTION #but obviously in general taking ppls backgrounds and life experiences into account and recognizing their credibility #when talking about their own life experiences is extremely important. and part of why she was able to get away with this for so long. insan #cor.txt
