basically the entire point of tumblr imo is to find some weird niche way to use this site that no one else is doing as fast as possible and commit to the bit forever

my trick is that i had to turn off endless scrolling because it made my device lag and heat up. badly

the way dashboard pages used to work, before 2020, was like this

tumblr.com/dashboard/[page number]/[long string of numbers]

and by saving these urls (which i did) (in my email drafts) you can keep a dashboard from a certain time

in april 2020 for some fucking reason my desktop tumblr broke very badly and wouldnt load the site formatting or let me reblog things, for months. like three months at least. i was trapped on the mobile app and i learned the true meaning of hatred 👍

and then after that when it was fixed was when they were first playing with dashboard tabs iirc so for some reason dashboard pages didnt generate those urls anymore and i was sad

and then one day they randomly did again only they were formatted like this:

tumblr.com/dashboard?max_post_id=[long string of numbers that it took me and embarrassingly long time to figure out was in fact. the post id of the last post in the page before it]

and thats how its been ever since ! so now you know my tricks! just take a tumblr post from the date and time you want to scroll through your dash, and copy the post id (the long string of numbers), and put it on the end of your dashboard url
