#bc black nail polish is dubiously goth at WORST whereas red?? has always struck me as VERRRRYYY iffy for some reason

short answer: 10/10 best nail polish color

long answer: it's elegant. maybe brought into trend by emos who leaned too far into melancholia and goths with dubious modesty, but these days, it's elegant. it goes with everything (throwback to the time I painted my nails candy apple red to match one specific dress and greatly regretted it days later because the majority of my clothes were and still are green), is understated, doesn't necessarily draw attention. it's just very nice. you can wear black nail polish with jeans and a t shirt, or with a formal dress. it's versatile and I consider it elegant. also I'm wannabe punk/emo and wear mostly black clothes these days, so there's that too. I just think it's neat!
