Hi love! U have any info on kai havertz? I really like his style of play, so dynamic, ive been watching him for a year.
Hey! Here are some cool stuff I found about him. Also some good articles as sources and for further reading. 😊
I've always been brought up to keep my feet on the ground. I learned from my parents that arrogance and snootiness are not desirable qualities. Why should a footballer be any different to anybody else? We're normal guys, just like most people. Besides, I haven't achieved anything yet. Football is about winning titles, and I haven't done that since turning pro.
Tumblr media
- Kai was barely 11 when he joined Bayer Leverkusen and had already been tied to a long-term deal before he stepped into the first team in the 2016/17 season. He became Leverkusen’s youngest Bundesliga debutant and seventh-youngest of all time.
- He won this year’s Fritz Walter gold medal in the U19 category. He won the silver medal in the U17 category in 2016. The Fritz Walter Medal is seen as the highest accolade for players in German youth football (U19 and U17, also previously U18). A jury made up of members from across the German Football Association decides which players should be awarded the gold, silver and bronze medals in each category. (related articles: x, x)
- He is a candidate for this year’s Golden Boy award. It is given by sports journalists to a young football player playing in Europe perceived to have been the most impressive during a calendar year (two halves to two separate seasons). All nominees must be under the age of 21 and play in a European nation’s top tier.
- The youngest player in Bundesliga history to reach 50 appearances during 2017/18.
- He set up Karim Bellarabi for the Bundesliga’s 50,000th goal in the 2016/17 season.
- When Kai started playing for Leverkusen, his parents always took him to training and to all the tournaments. He said it wasn’t easy for his mom when he had to move out at age 15 and live with a host family in order to play for Leverkusen.
- He is good friends with Julian Brandt, who is the one guy in the team who he spend most of his time with outside the pitch. They don’t live far from each other and are of the same wavelength according to Kai, so they do something together pretty much every day.
- He plays the piano and had Sports and German as main subjects in school! Here’s an excerpt from this bundesliga.com interview:
bundesliga.com: In 2017 you were juggling the start of your professional playing career with your school exams. How did you manage that?
Havertz: It took a big effort. I hardly had any time, and had to focus on either football or school. I didn’t have time for anything else, like meeting friends etc. Looking back on that now, that did me some good. If I didn’t play well, I couldn’t dwell on it for long because I had no other choice but to focus on school. There was no time to get frustrated. I’m happy that I got through it. Now I can concentrate 100 per cent on football.
bundesliga.com: What did you study?
Havertz: Sport and German were my main subjects, geography my third and maths my fourth.
bundesliga.com: Hats off alone for doing maths

Havertz: As if! (laughs) I was a disaster in maths, but I didn’t have any other options because if you majored in sport, you had to do maths. The saving grace was that I could do oral maths. That covered up the fact that I was completely useless at it! (laughs).
bundesliga.com: Ok, maths maybe, but you’re similarly gifted on the piano as you are with a football

Havertz: That’s not quite right. It’s true that music has always meant a lot to me, I’m always listening to music whenever I have a free minute. I also think it’s important to have something calming away from football that allows you to switch off a bit. So I decided to learn an instrument. As I’ve always liked piano compositions, it wasn’t a difficult choice. I enjoyed the first few hours so much, I decided to stick with it.
bundesliga.com: Do you play classical pieces?
Havertz: Classical and contemporary pieces. At the moment, though, I’m just on the basics and am gradually working my way up. My objective is to master classical and modern music eventually, though.
Kai Havertz was talking to Andres Kötter

Note
This is based on my own observation, obviously, but I think Wirtz is telling accounts to stop posting his girlfriend so she can stop seeing racist and abusive messages about herself. Some of the comments are disturbing and/or downright evil when people realize his girlfriend isn’t white.
Like I said, this is my own conclusion, but after seeing some of those comments I feel like any good boyfriend would ask these accounts to stop posting her (even though it’s too late) just so she could have some peace of mind.
This could very well be true but i hope this isn’t the reason cause that’s heartbreaking, no one deserves to see comments about themselves like that. She’s so beautiful, I hope she knows that
