SO many people have said this but god DAMN the movies and even newer comics have Butchered batman holy Shit-

like the movies are good don’t get me wrong!! it’s just that they?? missed the point of batman?? like. bruce is a good man who believes he isn’t and the movies and newer comics have made it seem like he’s Just a bad man. when hes Not, he’s just a bit stoic and unconventional. i forget what movie but there’s a scene in an old animated justice league movie where in order to save the world they need someone to be able to move fast enough so that their molecules phase through something (can’t remember the exact scenario) and flash offers himself up even though he Knows it’s dangerous. batman looks him dead in the eye and says ‘no, you’re too slow.’ flash is obviously offended but batman interrupts him again and says ‘i know your limitations’ like he looks out for his friends even if to keep them safe he has to tell it to their face!!!

and also literally all the times in the comics where he comforts children who have been through something traumatic like!!!! he’s not a bad dude!!!!! everybody just assumes that he’s this dark, broody, emotionless man when he just Acts like that!!!!!
