A nice surprise today. My first listen to Reaper from Sweden. Reaper have their first album out called “Unholy Nordic Noise”. As you might have guessed, they play old school but not second wave; Reaper play first-wave old school black/speed metal. Comparison to early Bathory is obvious but I compare them to other Swedish retro-black metal bands like Hellfire “Into Helfire” and Damnation “Destructo Evangelia” band/albums.
