today i was randomly rethinking of the evolution of my thoughts on collector as s2b was coming out and i stumbled onto the very funny memory of when edge of the world had come out, but nothing else, and some people had theorized that the crying half in the collectors face on the cloth they put over king meant something foreshadowing about his character, how hed have a sad side or sad backstory.

and back then! i was actually very 50/50 on this! my thoughts were basically "well itd be interesting for sure, but i also think its a bit too early to call this, and might just be the fandoms wishful thinking that hed have a sad backstory. id be content just exploring an evil little kids perspective"

i didnt know. guys i didnt know. just HOW fucking on point those people were, and holy SHIT what a tragically sad backstory it was. months later, having made an entire painstakingly illustrated video about it, i know.
