#extremely niche post that nobody else will be able to rb#didn’t know that every marine recruit (at least for the marines idk about the rest)#had to learn how to cook rlly good bc they all take turns on the galley#and have to know how to cook with what they have available#basically: my dad may be a raging trump lunatic but by god can the man cook#he’s also doing all the shit our landlord won’t like water sealing the back door (it was#all exposed and rotting wood) and replacing most of the electrical sockets downstairs#bc at least two were very nearly about to short circuit and blow#man’s just like ‘if he ain’t gonna do it then I will’#and ‘I guess if you want shit fixed you’ve gotta do it yourself’#and a grill but we don’t have one
