hot take but Ammit and Khonshu were both wrong. It's wrong to punish "evil-doers" before they commit the sin but it's also wrong to punish(with death) "evil-doers" because every person is capable of redemption. By passing judgment, it removes the person the agency to change. You are not the worst thing you've done.
Two lines I think of from the Good Place is ''“What matters isn’t if people are good or bad. What matters is, if they’re trying to be better today than they were yesterday. You asked me where my hope comes from? That’s my answer.”
and
“The point is, people improve when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them when they don’t?”
Hot hotter take: Yes, even Wendy. Wendy was a terrible person but was capable of change. She does not deserve to be punished by Khonshu. Under no circumstances were the MK system(or anyone else hurt by Wendy) obligated to forgive her but despite that, if she wanted, she could have put in the mindful work to be better. Being "good" is a choice you make every day, not something you're destined for.
