Thank you for the tag, Pom! I do love any excuse to ramble a bit. I'm actually going to tag some folks this time: @rambunctioustoons, @trenchcoat-full-of-snails, @itsmuffiiee, @sulfadimethoxine, @aerknight, @amarynthian-chronicles, plus anybody else who’d like to do this. (these are no pressure of course and sorry for the duplicate tags for some of you, I was very slow to write this up and other folks beat me to it but I still wanted to include you here) also answers are below the cut to keep the post organized
What is your favorite color? Yellow! A byproduct of my previous interest, it's funny that it's relevant to my current one as well.
Describe the aesthetic of your favorite kind of jester. Cards on the table, having any sort of interest in jesters is a new thing for me, so the closest I can come up with is little critters (opossums, rats, raccoons, suburban wildlife basically) in ruffs and bright colors and cone hats. I know this is more clown aesthetic, but I find drawings of those little guys very cute.
Tell me an animal fun fact you think is particularly neat Golden moles (Amblysomus hottentotus) have eyes that are non-functional and covered by furred skin.
What is/was your favorite toy? A plush toy sheep named Baa from my childhood. Well, formerly plush, what's left of the poor thing's white fur (wool) has turned grey and is worn down to the base fabric, which is also grey now. One of the legs has nearly fallen off and there is a hole in the back. Basically, it is very much beloved. A prime example of the "to be loved is to be changed" phrase associated with that one Garfield plush. I still find great comfort in this toy to this day.
What is your favorite word? I like the word critter. I'm one, I'm friends with several and you just know you're in for a treat when an animal gets called that. Plus it's fun to say. Runner up word is folks given how I tend to address groups of people as such.
What is a line, section, or snippet you've written that you're particularly pleased with/proud of? Since I haven’t posted any creative writing online and I’m in the rough draft stage of the thing I’m currently attempting, I unfortunately cannot answer this one.
Favorite non-real creature? Since cryptids are on the list I'm going to say the Fresno Nightcrawler. I love how silly those are in comparison to the more mysterious, better known ones like Bigfoot or Mothman. Also, I'd be remiss to not support the somewhat local wildlife!
Making my own silly tag game
Normal tag games don't have the questions I think are really important, so here are exactly seven questions I actually care about.
What is your favorite color?
Describe the aesthetic of your favorite kind of jester. If you cannot vividly imagine a jester dancing in your head, describe any silly little guy that so strikes your interest.
Tell me an animal fun fact you think is particularly neat
What is/was your favorite toy, either from childhood or now?
What is your favorite word? You are entirely allowed to list multiple if too many are just so good, let's hear all your best words.
What is a line, section, or snippet you've written that you're particularly pleased with/proud of?
Favorite non-real creature? (Includes cryptids, fantasy creatures, mythical beasts, yokai, original species, monster, any creature that isn't real but still makes you go "Oh, this one is neat")
@ your pals to politely request they tell you these fun things about themselves via reblog. @ as many people as you want. @ no one. @ yourself. @ an image of a funny horse. There are no rules here.
I will tag some of my pals here :) @venomous-qwille @eyndr-stories @writing-forever @aviul @ohno-the-sun @pillowspace @kc-wilson-art
#oops it took me *over 2 hours* to write this up!#(gotta love overthinking and starting and stopping and starting again with a new train of thought)#question 4 ended up making me more sentimental than I thought it would#I could not for the life of me think of an animal fun fact for ages despite really liking animals#sorta related to the post but I really appreciate that a number of folks are putting their answers under cuts#when tag games start chaining together and getting super long I find they get really overwhelming#as I was working on this I was refreshing the post and seeing how the folks who I was tagged alongside were already reblogging#I'm so jealous of how quickly you all can wrangle your thoughts!#not me going back after posting to edit some more because I have no self control about this sort of thing#*also small nervous wave in the direction of shira - thanks for making up this tag game*#tag game#reblog
