Taking a quick break from sharing the rest of my Sukhothai travel photos to share a more recent photo taken at the Gala Premiere of The Phantom of The Opera at the Sands Theatre over at Marina Bay Sands (@marinabaysands) last Thursday night! HUGE thanks to @baseasia for the tickets to the show and making arrangements for us to attend the after party at @1altitudesg! The masquerade theme for this gala night was awesome as well! 🎭 More importantly, say hi to my gorgeous plus one, @candybtob for that night - swipe RIGHT to view! 😘 The show was PHENOMENAL, by the way and we enjoyed it very much! The cast, costumes, stage setting, orchestra and everything was almost perfect and we couldn't stop humming the songs under our breath even after the show! The Iconic Film Scores of John Williams - Star Wars and Beyond

For two days only (11 Mar - 12 Mar 2016) at the Mastercard Theatres, music lovers can take a journey through the iconic film scores of John Williams with the 80 piece Metropolitan Festival Orchestra and British conductor, Anthony Inglis. Thanks to BASE Entertainment, I had the honor of embarking on the musical adventure during its opening night on Friday.

During the first half, concert goers were taken on a roller coaster ride that started with the iconic theme for Jaws and ended with the emotional “Adventures on Earth” from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

Members from The 501st Legion paid a visit to Marina Bay Sands to interact with the audience during the 15 minute break.

The musical adventure continued in the second half with a stirring repertoire of Star Wars themes followed Close Encounters of the Third Kind and a perfect solo violin performance for Schindler's List.

After playing the last piece for Raiders of the Lost Ark, audiences stood up and cheered loudly for the return of British conductor Anthony Inglis to continue playing through the night. He responded by coming back as a Jedi Knight and bringing two encores: End credits for Star Wars and Superman.

“The Iconic Film Scores of John Williams - Star Wars and Beyond” is an amazing musical adventure through the works of one of the greatest composer and conductor of our times. The 80 piece Metropolitan Festival Orchestra played beautifully, while British conductor Anthony Inglis injected lots of humor into a concert filled with spectacular light and laser display that complimented the film scores. This concert definitely ranks as one of the best concerts in 2016.
