The World We Once Knew, Gone It Is (Star Wars: The Bad Batch): Essentially 'What if Hunter's inhibitor chip activated instead of Crosshair's". Features some cameos of friends' OCs with their permission, Barriss Offee, and some others as additional cameos not seen in the show.

The minute I posted the first chapter of The Sniper and the Former Sith, my brain went, "But what if they met while they both worked for the Empire?" and I shut down that thought so fast because I do not need another fic on my plate, but I've been thinking about the idea some more recently, so, voila. Imperial Crosshair and Barriss.

Chapter four of The Sniper and the (Former) Sith is up! It's time for some healing, y'all.

And, of course, a snippet.

Omega makes her way to the cockpit and peers out the clear glass. Barriss and Crosshair are standing in silence, facing away from each other.  Darn it. She conspired with Echo in order to get Barriss and Crosshair in the same place in the hopes that they would work through whatever made them stop talking to each other, but, so far, the plan is not working. Omega has several ideas, but she doesn’t think any of them will work. Then she sees Benni, and a slow smile spreads across her face. She hurries up to him and whispers, “How do you feel about helping me matchmake two idiots?”

“Why, hello,” says Crosshair, leaning against the wall with an easy smile.  “Hello to you too,” replies Barriss. She’s in the cockpit of her---their---ship, which, after several heated arguments, was named the Turncoat. “ I don’t suppose you’re free this afternoon? ” Her tone is light, but there’s a faint undertone of tension there.  “Are you asking me out, Barriss Offee?” asks Crosshair jokingly. He doesn’t mean it. Not really. He swears he can see her flush despite the cool blue of the hologram. “ In your wildest dreams,” she says with a rolling of her eyes.
