Due to stuff going on in the VA’s life and unforeseen circumstances, I am once again without a Barnaby.

What are your characters like drunk? Name off as many as you can, please. I need a good chuckle after hearing the news.

Because of today’s events, I will do it. Because I too need a good chuckle.

Willow- When drunk, she is a little goofy, needy and flirty. Depending on the booze, sometimes a little irritated. In fact, one of the favorite quotes from her is.. “Why wun anyone talk to me? I HATE ALL OF YA…..” *pauses* “Imma kiss everyone in this room…Where’s that handsome fuck?”

Arrow: He is more on the emotional side when drinking. But only when he is thinking of his ex-wife. Most of the time when he is drunk, he is so plastered he doesn’t do much. However, he does cry and want to hold someone. It is the only time he feels secure enough to do so.

Bolt: He becomes mischievous when drunk. He takes the silly guns he makes or sets booby traps for pranks. No one is safe from him. Not even Buck…..

Buck: As a stallion who is shy most of the time, he becomes very outgoing. Even get as silly as Bolt. To the point where he agrees to prank everyone in the Inn. He even finds it hilarious when he is pranked too.

Frank: The stoic faced stallion smiles and becomes as cuddly as a teddy bear. Even gathers everyone in before he bear hugs them all. It is hard to get him wasted, but it is hilarious when it happens.

Deadeye: While he is most of the time a very….uninteresting stallion, he makes up for when he does drink a lot. He becomes very risque. In fact, if he were with a female, he would become an exhibitionist. If not doing something completely public, he will let others around him know that he and his partner are having a good time.

Shadow: When this one drinks something strong, he sleeps it off….I know not funny, but the positions and places he ends up in are hilarious.

Dovefeather: When this one is drunk (if ever), she gets VERY nostalgic. Not only does she remember the good old days, but has a habit of embarrassing herself and her brother in the process. She also loves teasing everyone in the Inn, almost treating them like other siblings.

Barnaby: HEAVEN FORBID IF THIS BIRD GETS DRUNK! When he is wasted, he is even more perverted…AND HANDSY! He has also been known to playfully mount certain members in the Inn. He is also SUPER truthful when in that state. No secrets when booze is in his system. Though, most of the crew think he is saying it just to say it. So we will never be sure.

Barns favorite thing? And favorite thing to to? (In or out of bed you choose)

I think we get enough of what he likes in the bed room. Let’s look at his other side.

In spare time, he loves to go dancing at clubs when in the city scenes with friends. Sometimes, even in the west, he dances with other friends. He even has dance competitions with one of his friends. A pinto pegasus male by the name of Slate Waltz (who is a dance instructor in Trottingham).

Once every couple of months he visits family. While he loves visiting his parents, he mostly visit’s Snowy and Viola. They are the sisters closest to him and feel the most comfortable around.

Sometimes he will babysit his nieces and nephews (both from Adalia and Bernicia). In the beginning, the sister’s did it to force Barnaby to gain some form of fathering skills (to force him to grow up). However, this backfired. Not only does he love watching a lot of them, but the ladies love a male that could be a possible father to future offspring. When the kids are gone, mares throw themselves on him.

He loves to read war biographies (to compare to his experiences) and classic novels (Like Of Mice and Men and many others). When he is feeling at peace and calm that day, he will pick up from where he left off in the book.

He also likes to sharpen the kilijs and practice his skills in fighting. Whether with guns or the swords. A days worth of practice keeps him calm after.

Getting into a drinking contest with a griffon friend that was twice his size and getting caught with his ex-marefriend getting ready to have sex by her dad who is a general in the Army (The highest rank you can think of).

Barnaby's backstory

OH GOD. Grab some popcorn, this could take a while to read.

Barnaby is the fourth child born his family. Making him the middle child (with 3 older sisters and 3 younger sisters). His mother is Gina Ironwing, a former special forces solider (Griffon). His father is Barbed Wire Ironwing (Or formally known as Cerdo Amado Montoya (His family is from the Andalusian Peninsula and he changed his name to fit in Equestrian society/match his talent). He grew in a very unique home. Though Gina was a stay at home mother, she was in charge of early training of all her children, including Barnaby. He grew up not only learning how to fight and defend himself even in the most ludicrous situations, he was also given opportunity to find something that helped him express himself. He started dancing at 5, eventually learning tango, waltz, some ballet and swing (when this is in his later years). He balanced this on top of other classes in school and travelling with his dad,  helping him build fences and walls. Barbed did this to teach him honest hard work that wasn’t military based. Barnaby would also take up some baby sitting jobs to make extra money while his dad worked with other home owners for big projects. Once he turned 16 (the legal age in griffon kingdom), he called into the southern part of the griffon kingdom to attend boot camp and stay on base for 2 years (due to that being a requirement for all griffon kingdom citizens, especially those with dual citizenship.) However, before his second year came around, war broke out between the Northern Griffon Kingdom and the Southern. It was unexpected and everyone who was legal age was drafted. In a nutshell, the war was basically about the Northern Kingdom thinking they could talk over other near by countries (this included Equestria). Barnaby was part of a force to keep them as far away from the Equestrian Boarder as possible if any came near. He faced horrors that no one should encounter and had to do things that TO THIS DAY he regrets, but knew there was no choice. He was also part of an internal struggle as well. Being assaulted by his superior repeatedly and nearly dying in the claws of a Northern griffon kingdom spy after an unexpected arrangement, his mind was in a dark place for a while. He used his state to push him through the rest of the war.  Luckily it ends when other parts of the kingdom join in and even Equestrian forces lent a helping hoof, putting the Northerners in their place.

After the war, Barnaby hooked up with a friend he made during that time and was in an on-and-off relationship with them for 4 years. He was also getting psychological help during this period. During the breaks (when not in the relationship), he would explore his othersides that he had kept to himself (his omnisexuality/pansexuality). They eventually had mutually to break it off completely due to complications on both sides. Barnaby then moved away from his home town for good, hopping from place to place before finally settling down in the west and becoming a full time bounty hunter. He uses his skills he learned in dance and in war to help him take down all his bounties and let’s just say it is not always pretty….

Is it possible though? Him in love? Or will he be a play boy until he dies?

Hard to say. When it comes to it, it is a matter of finding someone.

Barnaby grew up in a house with a griffon mother and pony father. The mix of races also had different rules.

In the head canon (with some griffon mythos) In griffon culture, you have one mate and you have them for life. In other words they can be in love only once. They can love their families, friends, etc. However, when it comes to the precise matter of the heart, it’s tricky. Love is a serious gamble for them. There is a high possibility of the individual being in love, but the partner is not mutual. (Example: Someone loves an already married female, they are interested, etc). Plus griffons could literal die from heart break. This is in general. There are some excepts, but they are few.

With ponies, they can be polyamorous. It is within their nature. It is instinct. However, since pony society in mlp is based on a more humanized plain (plus if you go with pony society development) ponies found it more convenient to marry one partner (though bigomy and polyamory are legal in Equestria, though heavily regulated.)

Basically, in a nutshell, Barnaby has no idea which way his instinct is going to go. Is he going to be like his dad and be able to get back on his feet if a relationship doesn’t work out? Or will he take after his mom? Being in love with one partner for the rest of his days? Whether for good or bad?
