This quilt was made with lining, by a men, a tailor, which reminded me my tailor teachers. I studied tailoring with these two great tailors, two old men who taught me to love pieces well done and to sew as beautifully as this quilt. Velocipedes, an early form of bicycle, began appearing in Central Park in the late 1860s, but they were soon banned because they were seen as a menace to pedestrians and carriage drivers and an unwelcome disturbance of nature. Cyclists fought back and in 1883 earned the right to ride in Central and Prospect Parks as long as they got licenses from the Parks Department. Then, fast forward 54 years, and cyclists are getting their own lanes in Central Park!
