I wanted to make AU of Plo surviving Order 66 and somehow joining in 'Hidden ones' as one of the founding member.
And somehow for some kind of Force's will, Ahsoka and Wolffe meets with Baran Do Sages to protect them from Empire? And somehow dragged to secrets of the Hidden ones and finding Plo there.
And this is what I tried to make
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ecff5bf62f0cb6eeb913cda857677c7c/b335ca46203607d7-ea/s640x960/009af7c74661461bded5017cd853dc5e7c1eb004.jpg)
...and Ahsoka and Plo hugges for a moment and Wolffe just broke down again with shock.
Ahsoka: Master Plo, we need your help. You don't have to hide anymore, you still can fight with us.
Plo: (casually hugging weeping Wolffe) As much as I want to help you with my power, little 'soka... I already made promise as the Hidden ones. I have new name, and no more alive in outer world. I have to remain here. I am so sorry little ones. But you have to leave from here. You might not be welcomed by this people's.
Wolffe: (suddenly switches to Commander mode) Sir, I'm afraid that even we want to leave here, we won't able to reach entrance for now. We are trapped here anyway.
Ahsoka: Yep, that's true.
Plo: Well, Jedi's way is always full of troubles.
Ahsoka: We are no Jedi anymore.
Plo: Force works in mysterious way, little 'soka.

KELDEORIN'YAA WORD OF THE DAY
HASSADURRA (N) - Lightning rod
KOMESSI - (PHR) - Very informal expression of sympathy, more or less "RIP, my dude."
Don't be too concerned about the dude, though. Kel' Dor survive lightning strikes. A lot.
In fact there is a whole clan on Dor'in with a name that essentially expresses "They Who Survive Lightning" - because many members of their clan (in particular) get struck and then live to tell about it.
It might be a force quirk, nobody's sure.
Many thanks to @plokoonsdisapprovingeyebrows for the Keldeorin'yaa Conlang Dictionary which you can access here:

"The Jedi gatekept the Force!"
Ah yes. That's why they coexisted very peaceably with the Baran Do sages, the Bardottan Dagoyan Masters, the Guardians of the Whills, the Church of the Force, the Lasat, the Mirialens, and hell even the Nightsisters.
......I'm not actually sure you know what gatekeeping means.
#taking out the rebels tag trash#it's a garbage post and i'm not gonna engage with it but i had to pick that one out#because it's so laughably false with even a cursory glance at canon#but i don't know what i'm expecting from people at this point#jedi order#this is a pro jedi blog

MINOR INDULGENCE
So, I finally wrote something about an idea that came to my mind, discussed and shared with my lovely friend @dukeoftheblackstar
Plo Koon in his private quarters.
AO3 link here.
---
Amid the unfriendly chilling air of Coruscant’s night, skyscrapers of the most bustling Galactic City shone brightly with vivid lighting. On the top was the endless circulating skylane, and on the bottom, pedestrians walking along the streets where all forms of life gathered, shuttling between bars, theaters, and clubs to embrace the arrival of the night revelry.
Days like this were not unfamiliar to Plo Koon. Day after day, year after year, now the three hundred and eightieth, dying at the hands of the merciless time that has slipped through his fingers. He traveled between his home planet Dorin, Coruscant and other destinations, for whatever reason. Peaceful life and dangerous missions, two seemingly contradictory concepts, coexisted so harmoniously and equally to him.
Another long-winded Jedi Council meeting, and next to him sat the reputed Master Windu – Mace, a stern, conscientious, reliable man, rigid in the observation of dogmas – who did not seem to have even smiled once since he had known him. Plo Koon used to sit upright in the armchair that belonged to him, with his large hands folded over his chest, fingers intertwined, armored talons resting on the knuckles. He was cautious, calm, and knowledgeable, preferring to listen rather than speak.
It was all about Anakin, again.
Padawan braid long but still a child.
The boy has been proven to be remarkable, despite his young age and impulsive nature. Lately he has been acting quite nervously, in an irrepressible eagerness to show off even more. Plo could hear him speaking out loud and defending his position while challenging Mace Windu's firm authority. Plo had witnessed his potential and the boy had spoken with him many times. He had allowed him to complain, and he understood the enthusiasm sparkling in his bright eyes, that adventurous and carefree attitude unique to a young padawan of worth. He was perhaps the only one on the Jedi Council who could understand that, even if he was no longer young – at least compared to Anakin.
The meeting over, Plo Koon stood up and bowed politely to his fellow Jedi. He was tall and lean, dressed in a long brown robe, the fabric of which draped to his ankles where his boots were barely visible. He had the graceful posture of a scholar and walked like a living Baran Do sage.
Plo had a private quarters in the Jedi Temple, his pristine room on Coruscant where he spent countless dawns and nightfalls. He opened the gas valves near the main door. With a loud hiss, the Dorin gas began to gradually fill the entire confined space.
He must repeat the chore every day. Due to the special composition and functioning of his species’ respiratory system, he had no choice but to pay attention to such trivial matters at all times.
Plo unbuttoned his robe and let the fabric slide off his broad shoulders, revealing his solid chest, clad in a well-crafted light brown tunic with a wide belt at the waist. He had his lightsaber strapped to the belt and a small kit carrying the equipment needed to clean his antiox mask.
He didn't need to clean the mask today since he had already done it yesterday. All he needed now was to rest and relax.
With a few clickings, Plo unhooked the tubes connecting his head to the mask. Extendable, dark pink-orange tendrils wriggled out of the tubes, quickly retracting into the extremities of the sensory organs on either side of his head. He deftly pulled the metal respirator and the goggles off, revealing his bare face. The airtight device had left deep indentations on his face from the prolonged compression — bruises on his orange-brown skin, observable to the naked eye.
He reached up and massaged the stiff muscles of his face, fingers tracing his broad forehead to his protruding cheekbones, then to his gaunt, emaciated visage. Without the barrier of the antiox mask, his facial expression became more evident and clearer — his eyebrows stretched, his gentle silver irises covered in a layer of watery mist — a blessed relief from the constraints.
Plo let out a sigh of relaxation, his voice soft and hoarse without the mask modulator.
Mask, mask.
It was a shame he had to endure that to survive on a planet that wasn't his own. But he never complained, not even once.
He placed the mask in a designated corner of the room, then walked over to the window walls, hands clasped behind his back. Even though he could no longer bathe in the cool breeze of Coruscant's night, he could still look up and appreciate the hazy scenery of the city's brightness and the endless traffic flow in the sky above.
The light and darkness of the night turned into colorful dots, projecting and shining on his face –
A face completely alien to other species.
A pair of dark eyes with silver irises set in its hollow sockets – the hallmark of a Force-sensitive Kel Dor. His nose formed a beak-like structure in the center of his face, beneath which was a large, long vertical gap extending from the nose to the tapered chin. Two pairs of tendrils on either side of his cheeks, thicker than the ones sticking out from his sensory organs, ended in sharp black tusks. As he relaxed physically and mentally, his motionless tusks began to move slightly around his mouth in an easy and casual manner, which was one of the ways the Kel Dors used to communicate with each other.
This face of his was usually hidden under the metal antiox mask, and very few people have seen it.
Plo Koon didn't care about his appearance – that was far from his concern – but he knew that the Kel Dors were not considered an attractive species.
Plo sat cross-legged in front of the massive glass windows. The moonlight streamed through the window walls, forming beautiful rectangular patterns on the spotless floor — an ambiance calm and peaceful. He didn't usually go to crowded places, unless he had to go on crucial missions, gather sensitive information, or meet with important political figures. Even for those tasks, he had to wrap himself in a long, dark cloak from head to toe, doing his best to ensure that no one would recognize his identity as a Jedi.
Meditation.
Through meditation, he could better sense the presence of the Force around him and the power that surged in his veins and bones. Force sensitivity seemed to be an innate superpower, but acquired training was also essential to forging a Jedi Knight. Plo Koon had been fortunate to be favored by the Maker — for the Kel Dors' hypersensitive senses were the cherry on top, setting him apart from other Jedi. He ignited his lightsaber as little as possible, though his swordsmanship was so mastered and precise, strong enough to rival that of the Grandmaster Yoda. Yet, he relied more on his powerful ability to understand than on violence.
A compassionate and unflappable calm man.
And respected by all.
Silence completely reigned the quarters, the Dorin gas had already filled all the corners of the space and the valves had stopped pumping. Plo Koon kept his back straight, like an exquisite statue under the moonlight.
Unconsciously, minute by minute, time fled away, even the humble Jedi Master eventually succumbed to his most basic need for sustenance.
Plo did not eat much, especially in the evening, he usually contented himself with Zand nuts and fruits of the Kand trees. He prepared them already in the morning and put the roll in a clean bowl, placed on the table not far from the windows.
Keeping his body still, he simply waved his right hand. With that gesture, the bowl floated right in front of his eyes, slowly landing between his open palms that were resting flat on his knees.
His silver eyes were still shut, as a piece of nut roll in the bowl rose slowly and steadily. Fine tendrils extended once again from the extremities of the curled sensory organs on the sides of his head, dancing rapidly in the air as if to gauge the distance between him and the food. Until the food reached at the same height as his mouth, his two pairs of tusks began to work. The tips of the tusks staggered over the lips as they fully extended to clamp the food in the air, bringing it into the gaping space of his face in a strange but elegant manner. He then gently pulled his lips back and stuck out the pharyngeal jaws – the upper and lower palates slowly opening to bite off a mouthful of bread.
Piece by piece, Plo enjoyed his rare free time under the pale moonlight. Only when the bowl was empty did he straighten his back and open his eyes, his expression gentle and relaxed.
For other species, the helium-ridden planet Dorin and its strange denizens would indeed remain a mystery, but Plo could have made an exception.

every time i check wookieepedia for more kel dor lore I get annoyed at the bit that says the Baran Do became irrelevant after the Jedi started coming around bc like.
a) there is no way the Jedi wouldn't want to like. team up with them instead lmfao
b) the numbers also don't add up. The Jedi have like ten thousand members in Prequel times, from species across the whole galaxy. Even if you scour the wiki, there's only like three, possibly four kel dor Jedi active at that time. Even if we accept the idea that these few are the absolute most powerful force-sensitive kel dor out there, there's no fuckin way a planet/species that can support its own extensive indigenous Force tradition just abandons that tradition, just bc a literal handful of kids in every generation goes offworld to learn from a different Force tradition.
c) the Baran Do also do a slightly different thing than the Jedi - it's basically Force-aided disaster risk/resilience/management shit. The Jedi can't make them obsolete just by existing; they're filling a different need with diplomacy and averting wars and shit. Sometimes their work crosses over, but that's not enough to put them in competition.
So, my headcanon—
The Baran Do don't have the same restriction on 'must be a child to join' as the Jedi do, so they're happy to allow children who get scouted to go off and join the Jedi, on the condition that that child gets the opportunity to come back and train with the Baran Do later on if they so wish. The Jedi are perfectly happy to allow this, both in a spirit of Interfaith Cooperation and also making sure their kids get the chance to connect with their ancestral cultures. So the relationship between Baran Do and Jedi is pretty relaxed and friendly overall.
...At this point, most of the kel dor children who are given to the Jedi were actually brought to the Jedi's attention by the Baran Do, because the Force metaphorically tapped on some Sage's shoulder and went like "hey. This one would do well with the Jedi." And that Sage phoned up the Jedi Temple like "hey could u guys send someone out, there might be a baby Jedi here for u." It's treated like a celebration for both parties, there's a festival and everything. XD
Plo happened to be the Jedi sent out to collect Sha; he didn't know the kid was his niece at that point, but then the moment he stepped off the ship he was Engulfed in a surprise family reunion. His mother, Sha's grandma, is a Baran Do Sage, and she'd requested Plo directly but then kept it to herself, so the rest of the family was equally surprised and delighted lmao.
#kel dor headcanons#plo koon#mama koon's name is kssaana and she has like a thousand descendants so u can imagine that reunion was off the shits#plo's genetic dad is named aisi#but kel dor do polyandry sorta#so culturally he actually has like four dads#all five had to give permission for him to go off to the Jedi

It was not often that Plo practiced the katas of the Baran Do, although he did indeed practice them. As the war went on he found himself leaning more and more upon the theology of his master as a Sage than as a master as a Jedi.
Perhaps that simply was evidence of how time changed all beings.
Or perhaps the stress of the war had changed him.
Either way as he stepped into an empty sparring room he pulled his robes off. Then his tunic and belts. He tied his loose pants to his ankles after he removed his boots and grabbed a long wooden bo staff.
Standing shirtless it was easy to see the way the thick leathery skin of the Kel Dor master moved and pulled over thick cords of muscle. Even easier to see was the fractal like pattern that traveled down his left arm, across his chest and back and then disappeared into the simple rope ties of his pants.
Lichtenburg scars.
Signs of lightning that once struck Plo Koon but did not take his life. A badge of surviving the worst Doran's fierce storms could give. A sign of his mastery over a nearly forbidden technique to Jedi; and a nearly impossible one to Baran Do Sages.
Force lightning.
Although Plo, after meditation upon the force, and consulting the energy of Doran settled upon a term for the Golden energy he could call upon as Judgement. For it was not the twisted energy the sith would use to cause punishment or pain on anyone; but one that would pass through and judge a person in a split second, before either taking their life, or passing nearly harmlessly through them and into the ground.
Doran and the Force had judged Plo, and found him worthy of the ability. Although the natural lightning that caused his scars was the flow of nature, and still caused him pain, but also revitalized his passion for both of his studies.
He moved with smooth strokes to the staff and slowly allowed the Force to move through him. The tinkling of bells near the window on the other side was the only evidence of his use of his ability to control the faintest bit of wind and weather in the otherwise still room.

In the Legends continuity, Plo Koon was a member of the Baran Do sages, a Force-using group of Kel Dor. One of their techniques was "Ayna-seff," which allowed them to make their brain activity undetectable. I was thinking that that could be how Plo could have escaped being found by the Empire after being shot down.

Was rereading when the dead tree flowers (one of my all time favorites of yours), and I just wanted to say how much I love the force blank reveal in chap 11! The suddenness of the troopers realization that they can’t describe Granta, along with Quinlan’s “He’s a karking Force Blank.” It always makes me laugh. I’d love to know if you’ve ever thought of them, their dynamic would be so intriguing as a cat and mouse chase (Granta seems to lend himself to that lol) especially as Quinlan can sort of track where he’s been by feeling the absence (also not gonna lie, ever since you wrote that bit in Arcana with the Baren Do (?) sage and the way he looked through Granta, him having a relationship with a Jedi, and working out/at least addressing some of his issues of not being a force user has been on my mind.) I love rereading your works in general, the writing style is almost like a cozy blanket with how long I’ve been reading your fics!
Aww, thank you so much, that's so sweet. 💕
I actually do have a couple of WIPs with Quinlan/Granta (though I will admit a few of them have a clone tossed into the mix, because I can never resist), and they definitely would have a fun dynamic.
Fun fact: the Baran Do sage was originally going to be Plo, but I couldn't justify in my head how Plo would ever do anything but see and address Granta's insecurities, so I had to make it someone anonymous and spin out the Plo/Granta bit into its own thing. They also have a fun dynamic - very much two trolls but also Granta is a rabid dog and Plo is holding his leash and laughing about how cute he is as he snarls at people.

There is no ignorance, There is knowledge
I was on TikTok last night at work and came across a video calling out how many Star Wars "fans" were complaining about the "wokeness" being introduced to the franchise, specifically citing Lizzo's glorified cameo in a single episode. Putting aside that this is a franchise has a wise and powerful character played by a freaking muppet, the TikToker (?) rightfully called out how so many of these fans never seem to actually interact with any Star Wars projects. Their opinions seem to be based entirely on their own perception of clips and images taken from the internet and pop culture.
Hence, the title, because oftentimes, consumption of the source material usually clears up any confusion as to what this franchise has always been about. With Knowledge, we diminish Ignorance
I was reminded of this yet again this morning when I got home and checked my recommendations from Google and was greeted with this monstrosity.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/aa67bc059f6c8b8a1eb85fb4e929b791/ea4f022239418245-43/s540x810/da15aea44431898355abf376c910821a10f8d2ce.jpg)
I know I shouldn't get worked up because this is Screenrant, and literally anyone can post anything to it. There doesn't seem to be any vetting process to this website and what it publishes. But I've been seeing more and more Jedi slander over the last few years, and I just can't keep my mouth shut (metaphorically speaking).
So let's just break this piece of garbage down.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/abc828005349692995fc5992224026b3/ea4f022239418245-7b/s540x810/c95428f172e320d25afe817da1d1bd048df288e4.jpg)
Naturally, it's not a complaint against the Jedi unless we call them child abductors, right? Putting aside the fact that I have never seen so many incorrect statements strung together in a row like that (and this is just the first paragraph), it really emphasizes the point I'm trying to make here.
There is no perfect system in any of Star Wars, no matter what faction you're a fan of. The Jedi are no exception to this.
The Order does not kidnap nor indoctrinate children. At least not more than any other religion, political group, revolution, educational system, etc. How the Jedi refill their ranks isn't any different than how the Mandalodians recruit their foundlings or how the Clones were created by the Kaminoans. The Jedi find Force-sensitive children and (with their guardians permission where applicable) and offer them a chance to not only hone abilities that can be dangerous without proper training, but an opportunity to be a part of what is a generally revered organization throughout the galaxy, bringing peace to all those they can.
This has been explained multiple times by multiple people within multiple supplemental entries of Star Wars materiel, but there is a reason that the young are chosen to be trained instead of adults. The entire purpose of the Jedi's order is to teach their students empathy and compassion (despite what this author insinuates, saying the Jedi are "without emotion or passion") so that they don't become tyrants like the Sith or other more militant factions throughout the Galaxy.
In fact, once again in complete contradiction to what this author says, the Jedi once filled their ranks with many adult initiates, but such recruits fell to the Dark Side at a much more commensurate rate. It was because of these constant droves of Dark Jedi that the current practice of only accepting students younger than a certain age or maturity became more pronounced.
But let's move on.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/504b8762ab9ee28fd93c203c9fc5d7b1/ea4f022239418245-03/s540x810/9bb1a5c964c3d8301b4b9e86f86a594a90d7e336.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/333e1a37761cae08c257451e9e723d9a/ea4f022239418245-3f/s640x960/40365e3f4c9202d7d4adb5644802f3e1cdebb2e1.jpg)
Say it with me now:
"The Jedi never forced any member of its Order to forsake their heritage!"
As a matter of fact, there are multiple examples of Jedi who not only explore their birth heritage but embrace it.
Both Shaak Ti and Ahsoka Tano, as Togruta, incorporate both a Togruta sash and an akul tooth headdress into their Jedi attire
Shaak Ti actually took her padawans to her home planet for their training
Plo Koon was both a member of the Jedi High Council and the Baran Do Sages, a Force-sensitive order on his home planet
Oppo Rancisis was the son of the Blood Monarch of Thisspias and kept in contact with the royal family
A'Sharad Hett wore the traditional coverings of a Tuskan Raider
Both Luninara Unduli and Barriss Offee bore traditional Mirialan tattoos
Tarre Vizsla, the creator of the Darksaber, wore his Mandalodian armor during his time with the Order
Ki-Adi-Mundi was married!
Depa Billaba wore the marks of the Chalactan Adepts
And numerous other examples!
There has never been a tenet of the Jedi that prohibits their members from either learning of their culture (in fact, it's encouraged to do so) or to seek out their family or people. The only thing the Jedi have ever been pretty strict about in this regard is the formation of attachments. Specifically, the unstable emotions that come with such attachments and how those Jedi will do anything to retain them (i.e. Anakin Skywalker.)
This next one is a real doozy.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8edd6fc84b298035d7797eaa4ab934b5/ea4f022239418245-10/s540x810/ae380d7d98a8db11133a31ff36e102db433dc3e4.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9f466b04a3b86776bcb3eb1d05eebc6a/ea4f022239418245-5e/s540x810/b4606648e37b648ddde943444b72718ddecc8712.jpg)
I have never read such garbage in my life. That's like saying, "How dare you not teach these children to be racist to their classmates because that's their family's culture!"
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/311992b53ea5ae3078088e926e0168c1/ea4f022239418245-92/s1280x1920/a9002fe6f0b06396bac06da0585fb7b727afd17b.jpg)
Once again, I understand that I shouldn't get upset because this is Screenrant, and they will post whatever click bate bullshit will get you onto their site. Rage-farming is the word, and I'm sorry to admit that I fell for it. It just infuriates me that so many people, or at least the most vocal ones, are so adamant about tarnishing the Jedi. All while usually loving characters like Vadar or Maul or any of the Mandalodians, who canonically do much worse than the Jedi ever did.
Are the Jedi perfect? No. But throughout STAR WARS, they've done the best they can within the confines of a horrific situation that they were forced into. They don't deserve this prolonged smear campaign because they don't meet the ever changing and often unrealistic standards that some people want.
Note: Sorry for the small text, but I wanted people to be able to differentiate between my words and the article.

So Baran Do Sages are not exactly fighter like Jedi Knights. But they can still learn combat methods. And in tradition their weapons are simple wooden stick, and wind made of Force.
And here's Plo Koon, Jedi and Baran Do Sage, is literally beating shit out of droid's ass.

@grizabellasolo Ask and you shall recieve ♥
The good shit:
And then there's my shit take on everything Plo Koon ♥
So Baran Do Sages are very much like great elders and masters of Dorin (Plo's home planet and where my babies of him will thrive). Think really wise old Kel Dors who do a lot of shit like:
Predict and manipulate weather as best as they can because Dorin weather is so fucking wild and their environmental conditions are so potently deadly, they need this.
Are great advisors even to certain governments because ya boys can see specific timelines in the future since they're so naturally adept in telepathy
They are very life loving individuals who do not use any form of weapon part from wooden sticks if necessary
they all do zappity zap zap electric judgment but like Plo nailed this to the T and is like "lemme go home and tell the homies" — the homies know ♥
they're essentially physicists at this point
They're the Order version in Dorin
All in all, they're very high-force linked bebbies. And now my husband, Plo.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/88dfcf9b6df3f478bea1f9db2a284ff4/257775a40f4c181d-f7/s540x810/237cdee34d5c66b5fa3c2b6ac5e8e64165552c97.jpg)
That said, Plo has to study these elemements. Be some elemelon wise man so he can chemistry his way into these scenarios.
Also, Elemelon reference. If Plo Exists, he is naturally an elemelon by default. Don't fight me on this. It be the law.
So this entails high appreciation for anything because my super wise husband is into that shit. Learning. Constantly meditating. Constantly thinking of so many things that you cannot tell me he's not constantly wanting to

I can't remember where or to whom I infodumped about this before, but.
I don't think balance in the Force is about equal amounts of light and dark, I think light/dark and balance/imbalance are two different metaphors for the same thing.
And since one of my two heritage cultures holds that balance cannot be achieved without justice (or vice versa), I think they're a metaphor for justice/injustice.
Jedi haters will say what they'll say, I'm not looking to convince anyone, just to share my thoughts with similar-minded people.
The Jedi are a religious order focused on light, balance, and restoring the galaxy. We see them brought in as diplomats, mediators, and righteous defenders. We also see them restricted by the largest galactic political body, which is rife with corruption and would have reason to be very concerned if the Jedi had the authority or ability to correct their injustices.
The Jedi do have multiple denominations with different codes governing how to avoid injustice in day-to-day life, but ultimately they are all in pursuit of the same goal. Denominations other than the one based in the Coruscant Temple include the Green Jedi and the Altisian Jedi.
The Sith are a religious order focused on dark, pain, suffering, and subjugating the galaxy. We see them torture people for fun, destroy lives and livelihoods, and become tyrants and dictators. We also see them take advantage of the Senate - both of their corruption and of their fear of the Jedi.
We are shown many times that the Sith and the dark side of the Force are inherently unjust, and therefore unbalanced. We see the Gray Jedi denomination who use the dark side, but while their end goal is still balance and justice, as a means, injustice inherently cannot create justice.
And then we see Jedi of all kinds constantly in the pursuit of peace and justice and helping people, refusing to compromise and use unjust means to arrive at a just end, except in the cases of such Jedi as Anakin Skywalker. They make mistakes, they are not infallible and I never see them claim to be, but the good Jedi own up to them, make restitution, and do better.
Other things that support my thoughts include the existence of non-Jedi, non-Sith orders of Force users who don't use balance or light or dark as metaphors and whose goals are neither justice nor domination. These include the Guardians of the Whills, the Baran-Do Sages, and the Witches of Dathomir (excluding the Nightsister Clan, who are shunned by other clans for largely adopting Sith teachings). Most of them simply aid and advise their people.
They (things that support) also include the repeated use of the concept of "restoring balance into the light" which only makes sense within this kind of framework.
In the end, a balance of justice and injustice would still be unjust, but a balance that is justice would necessitate there being no injustice. Thus, a balance of "light" and "dark" would still be "dark", but a balance that is "light" would necessitate there being no "dark".
But without understanding Jedi philosophy this way, by stripping the words of context and meaning, you get a contradictory statement that gray Jedi, most fallen Jedi, and most non-Jedi take at face value rather than asking for clarification or seeking to learn. And, of course, the Sith only encourage this lack of comprehension - especially from other Jedi - because it furthers their own goals.

One of my favorite Plo Koon art pieces. Look at how soft he is? Look at that pure adoration and fatherly love. Look at how it's so innate for him to value life and children as a proper Kel Dor does in spite of him not growing up in Dorin because baby boy got sent to the temple so young.
I'd attribute this to his learning the ways of being in his element as a Baran Do Sage when Dorin called to him in his years, but idk. I just genuinely think Plo Koon is made of so much love material.
And every time this beautiful peace graces my dash, I weep a little because (1) I obviously have daddy issues LOL, (2) a tribute to dads who are both dads and not dads (I am a dad enthusiast), and (3) how good it must feel for a youngling to find home in the temple so far away from their own homes.
Jedi Softcore make me cry so fucking much. Sure, their belief system has been so misconstrued to the point of it being primitive to a degree, but you know that deep inside — amidst all that training and teachings of not being attached as seen so shallow in the surface, they're just very, very, very, affectionate.
Plo's hugs are probably so warm, I'd melt and cry decades of trauma without even us exchanging words. He's probably not gonna gaslight the shit out of me like Yoda (LOL, this personaaaal /jk). He's stern and gentle at the same time, not even dismissive. Sassy too.
But oh my goodness, Plo Koon is undeniably oh, so, very warm. I bet he gives really sweet head pats too. Wouldn't sass you out if you fell and would just quietly help you up and let you try again in your own pace — unless you're Kit Fisto, then yes, it's a sass-fest.
I love him so damn much.
The way he's drawn here is just absolute perfection.
Look at the crease on his eyes and how softly squinted he's looking at the little baby. The way his tusks are so relaxed, his untensed shoulder, the lean that just screams 'we're safe here'. That little fist grab from Ahsoka implies there were probably doing something silly prior like idk, probably yeeting her into the skies and back. The way his hand was drawn, the elegant lines on his robes and how fucking regal he always is — oh my god.
The lighting hits just.. Sigh.
Softcore Plo is my jam. I'd die for him.
He's just so beautiful inside and out. But he's also such a shit boy like .. fuuck, he's so perfect he makes me cry ;----;
Anyway, I never properly thanked you @sabellart for blessing the world with Softcore Single Dad Plo Koon ;///////////////; ILY precious being on the internet.
give it up for all the single dads out there
