Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan (Thai: วัดอรุณราชวรารามราชวรมหาวิหาร) is a Buddhist temple (wat) in Bangkok Yai district of Bangkok, Thailand, on the Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya River. The temple derives its name from the Hindu god Aruna, often personified as the radiations of the rising sun. #BangkokStory #RainyDay #Storytime | The rain began. The wind was howling hard like a hurricane. I ran up the stairs. Each floor I could hear the wind banging on the small windows by the stairs. Swoosh. clack. swoosh. clack. I reached the 9th floor and my mind was filled with excitement of lightning and whirlwinds that await outside. I grab the doorknob and opened the door. I was met by a gust of wind coming from an open rooftop gym door. Quickly I covered my camera from the rain sneaking in and rushed to the opening to stick my head outside. There was no whirlwind. There was no lightning. But there was rain. Lots of rain. Puddles were everywhere. Puddles of death. Death to my camera. But without a photos it would be death my Instagram. With ninja like maneuvers I raced to the roof top's ledge. "This is it!", I shouted through the rain like a Mission Impossible movie. "Take the shot!" ... I took the shot. I took 23 goddamn shots.
