Prickles in my fingers and we still have “flyaway issues” but my work is hanging next to @kara_walker_official so I can die now. Thanks @monikafabijanska for the video and including me in this incredible show. #Reposting @monikafabijanska -- Angela Fraleigh installing her ‘lonelily loomed into bone’ today. The thistles are like thorns of memory stuck in the body, some of them dried out, others made of porcelain - ‘petrified, ossified, made into a stony substance,’ Angela wrote. The pain can be inherited, too. The Un-Heroic Act: Representations of Rape in Contemporary Women’s Art in the U.S. will open on September 12. More info and press release in the link.
