The huge size difference means cuddling with Bane can be challenging at times. By that I mean, he rolls over at night and completely smushes you at times. Hes also the default big spoon when you cuddle, since you hang on his back like a small backpack when you do it.

This also means you lay on top of him a lot, imagine almost the scene in my neighbor totoro, except Bane is carefully reading a book as you scroll on your phone.

The times where he gets to lay with his head on your chest he just melts when you cradle him. You can’t really run your fingers through his hair most days, but Bane would turn into a puddle if you rubbed the back of his neck and massaged the sore muscles there.

Knows a whole lot about massages, since most of his muscles get sore from everything he does. Expect Bane to know how to turn you into melted butter with that skill. He also appreciates it when you try to massage him back, even if your hands are strong enough most times.

He wears the mask pretty much all the time, even when he sleeps or hes in the shower. It always gets a good cackle out of you to see him in casual clothes, just walking around in his mask and some funny print t-shirt and a pair of heart boxers.

Wouldn’t care if you preferred to sleep with or without a shirt on, depending on your dysphoria, all that matters to him is your comfort. Would get you some for different weather though if you did.

The kinda guy to wear a pride pin if you a comfortable with that. Who needs cops at pride when you got Bane? The bats are also there, and most other rogues honestly, they’re all parts of the fruit basket.

Would beat up a transphobe as stated before, but would also do some kind of psychological warfare on them because he’s smart enough to do that. You very much harm his image as a big scary bad guy, since its so clear to everyone there that he’s actually a great guy outside of, you know, everything else.

You visit him in Arkham whenever he’s locked up, the guards know to expect you. They learned pretty quickly to treat you with respect, since the ones that didn’t ended up… missing. Bane is happy to sit and listen to you talk about the boring aspects of your day when you visit.

You’ve dealt with the bats enough for them to be on first name basis with you. If you are on testosterone and got them from Bane, then they’ll supply them when he’s locked up. They’d do it when he isn’t too, but Bane likes supplying them for you.

You’ve convinced the bats to wait before taking Bane back to Arkham so you guys can go on a date or just watch a movie together. And depending on what he’s done, they’re likely to let it happen, you two are getting observed the entire time though.

Idea for a fic: Cad Bane x GN!AFAB!reader or FTM!reader or Male!reader who works as a bartender. The reader goes out to a sort of sex club and gets recognized by Cad while he's on a job. He comes back to find the reader another night when he's free. Cad has his way with the reader and refuses to stop subtly teasing them about it the next time he sees them working at the bar.

Usually you wouldn't stay in the institute for the night, even when you just had a very rough mission completed and were done for the day.

No, you preferred going over to your boyfriend, who would welcome you in his loft with open arms at all times. Your boyfriend was warlock Magnus Bane.

He was a delight to say at least and you always cheerished his presence around you, which was why you would bottle up all your strength every evening and go over to him.

Today's night wasn't any different, except that you had decided to shower over at Magnus's as well. Usually you didn't like to come over smelling like the demon you just killed mixed with sweat, but today you just wanted to get away from the shadowhunter-world.

When Magnus opened his door he was all smily and wanted to greet you with a hug, but quickly decided against it, his face turning in distaste.

You chuckled "I'm sorry I didn't shower back in the institute. I just wanted to come here as quick as possible, thought I could wash here."

"No, I understand.", Magnus said "Just as well as I understand your job and what it makes you smell like", he accentuated his statement with some fancy hand moves.

You got in laughing and were able to get a small kiss on the lips from him, then left for the bathroom with a smile.

When you were in the shower you could already smell dinner paired with Magnus's shampoo that you were using. It made you smile and hurry up a little.

You stepped out in the livingroom in some sweats and a t-shirt you had left here for cases like this. This time you were greeted with a big bear hug, which made you feel butterflies in your stomach like a teen again.

The following kiss was deeper than the first and also more handsy, you knew Magnus was feeling you up for wounds even though he wouldn't admit it. He was always concerned for your health, not even the fact of you having runes and all could ease his mind.

"Yeaaah, about that", you let go of him and scratched the back of your head "No homo", you joked.

"Oh damn", Magnus said "And I thought I had you after all those 'hook-ups'"

"I'm straight, dude", you said grinning and shrugging

"Yeah, right, you want to watch Ru Paul while eating our potato cream with caramelized leek and saffron?"

"You bet your sweet ass I want to.", you answered, slapping his ass on your way over to the couch.

Two episodes in, you two started talking about your day while doing each other's nails, which you could tell would look awesome when you were done.

You were drinking cocktails and giving your opinions on the candidates, always joking and on some opportunities making out as well - the evening was perfect for you.

Hours after your arrival (talking like 1am), you finally got into bed, Magnus cuddling up on your chest and immediately falling asleep from how tired he was.

You were smiling, brushing through his hair, and listening to his breath until your eyes would close as well.

Suddenly you heard someone approaching you,you stood still waiting for them to get closer. When they were close enough,you grabbed them and shoved them against a wall. Looking up,you saw Magnus.

“I didn’t think you were into this kind of stuff,darling”

“Did no one tell you should never sneak up on a shadowhunter,seriously I could’ve killed you”

“Sorry,I’m never doing that again.” He laughed it off “You look exhausted,are you alright?”

“I’ve been fighting demons all night” You pulled out your phone to check the time,it was 8 am. You pulled out your stele to activate your stamina rune,but Magnus stopped you. 

“You should get some sleep instead” You were really tired,to the point where you didn’t think you’d make it back. Before you could ask him to portal you,he picked you up and created a portal. But he didn’t take you back to the institutes,he took you to his apartment instead. “I just thought you’d mange to get more sleep here than the institute”  

“You’re right” You leaned up against him. He put you down on his bed and you pulled him down on top of you. He kissed you as you ran your hands through his hair. You pulled away to grab your stele and activate your stamina rune,you quickly flipped him over so that you were on top. You pinned his hands above his head and leaned down to kiss his neck. 

“Y/N” You slipped your other hand under his shirt,but at that moment your phone rang. 

“I should probably take this” You quickly got up and answered,it was Isabelle. “Hey Izzy”

“Hey,I just wanted to check on you. Since you never came back”

“I’m with Magnus,don’t worry about me”

“Okay,but mom and dad want you to come back before she arrives”

“Before who arrives?”

“Remember when they said that they’re setting all of us up,all except me because there’s no way I could restore our family name.” She sounded extra annoyed at the last part,but you were even more upset. You liked Magnus and you knew your parents would try to set you up with some pretty girl who was most likely the opposite of him. “Anyway i’ll see you later”

“Bye” 

“What happened?” Magnus walked up to you,with a drink in hand. 

“Is that drink strong?”

“Very,do you remember who you’re talking to?” He laughed but quickly stopped when you grabbed the drink out of his hand and drank all of it in one go. “Y/N what happened?”

“I think I need another drink before I’m ready to talk about it” He waved his hand and the glass you were holding filled up again. “It’s my parents”

“They want you to marry someone you don’t even know”

“How did you?”

“You’d be surprised how many of my relationships ended because of that. Are you gonna go through with it?”

“It’s not like a have a choice”

“Y/N you always have a choice. What do you want?” 

“It doesn’t matter what I want! Being a shadowhunter means that family and honor is the most important thing. What someone wants is always shoved to the side,because it’s unimportant” You had tears running down your face at the thought of having to leave Magnus.

Still have no internet in my apartment, but luckily my sister is letting me visit her place to do assignments, so I can upload stuff from there.

This is based off of comic Bane more than anything, but i cant really find any gifs of that guy, so comic panel it is.

All in all, I don’t think it matters much to Bane that you are trans. It isn’t something he would see as a dealbreaker, or even care too much about. As long as you guys get along and both have feelings for one another.

Bane is extremely smart too, so if you can’t legally find ways to get treatment, then he would probably know at least 10 different ways to get the result you need.

If you want to build muscle, then Bane is also your guy. He knows as much as one can about the process of working the body and getting the result you want, so he would be able to help you get the look you want, even if you aren’t on any testosterone or hormone blockers.

If you want to work out then Bane could also help you out if you aren’t one for top surgery, as you can get a similar look through the right diet and workout routine. But if you want top surgery, you bet he’s taking care of you afterwards, since he would know a thing or two about medical procedures.

Bane being who he is probably also knows different ways to get you to the hormone level you want, but he would most likely avoid doing anything as drastic as his own mix up with chemicals and the likes, unless that’s what you are trying to go for as well. Would make sure you knew all the dangers first though, just in case.

If you want neither and don’t care much for hormone treatment, surgeries or even presenting masc, then it doesn’t pose any issues either, since Bane wouldn’t really care. Hes one of those “wear whatever you want, I can fight” kinda boyfriends. As long as you are happy and comfortable, then he is comfortable and happy.

He seems like a big scary dude, but Bane would be very respectful of you and how you present yourself. Gives very much “big scary dog privilege” when you guys go out, and you do go out sometimes, as I could imagine some of the bats would let you two go on dates, as long as Bane isn’t causing any trouble. You’ll have to live with being shadowed the entire time though.

The huge size difference also strengthens the whole scary shadow thing, so even if people wanna be transphobic too you, they sure as hell don’t dare to do so, since Bane is towering over literally everyone there with muscles that could kill.

Sharing clothes with Bane would also be entertaining, since hes so much bigger than you. Even just his tank tops would hang off you and slide right off you. You would have to tie it with something or tuck it into your pants with a belt, and even then, it would still look super baggy.

You don’t get the chance to borrow his mask, since he needs it himself. But I could see him finding it kinda sweet if you worked the pattern or colors into your own style. It also helps to tell anybody who wants to hurt you that you hand in hand with Bane. So, crossing you is crossing Bane, even when he’s locked away in Arkham.

The extreme size difference also means you can climb him like a tree, like hanging onto his back like a backpack, or hanging around his neck with your arms without your feet being able to touch the ground if he stands up straight.

You being Banes lover also probably becomes some of the “in the know” knowledge around Gotham. The bigger fish know not to mess with you since Bane would be breathing down their necks if they as much as thought about it.

But being Bane’s partner also means you’d know how to protect yourself and even kill if need be. Being much smaller than him and also being trans puts you at risk, so your lover would want you to know how to take care of anybody that tries to harm you when he’s not around. So, you end up knowing how to use a lot of different weapons and fighting styles one way or another.

But in the end, Bane is a respectful guy whose too damn smart to let you being trans get in the way of a relationship. Your big size difference is also cute in his eyes, since he can easily pick you up or just wrap you in his arms. It’s pretty damn great.
