Currently Reading: aaaaaalllll the AE fic I have stored on comp as am desperately trying to get back in the mindset (and succeeding, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak) as well as a few old festive drarry favourites I had saved from a few Christmases back on my dodgy old kindle as am unwell and sulking my way back and forth between bed and armchair these past few weeks lol

Currently Watching: Just finished the BBC 80 Days Around the World a few years too late, rewatching Lie to Me as a timewaster until the live-action series of ATLA kicks off assuming I don't drop dead from anticipation first ;)

Currently Consuming: Water water and more water with a side of marmite rice cakes

Currently Craving: More water, more rice cakes, a fuckton of choc hobnobs, garlic cheese and crackers *sighs* sleep lol

Currently Reading? Intermittently a daft old Betty Neels novel called 'Dearest MaryJane' that I comfort read every few years interspersed with as much AE fic as I can lay mitts on.

Currently Watching? Raising Hope, Once Upon a Time rewatches with la madre and Legend of Korra for myself having been informed I'm cutting my nose off to spite my face by doing otherwise.

Currently Craving? Really good murgh makhani, all our local places seem to assume it should be utterly flavourless which is an actual crime, frankly.

Seven Comfort Movies Meme:

I was tagged by the fabulous @gracerene09 to name my 7 fave comfort movies and tag 7 others to do the same (though if you fancy it, don't wait to be tagged, just have at it! 😊)

I heartily approve your taste @gracerene09 so Stranger Than Fiction is a must!

Inception - even without AE being my go to happy place, the whole film makes me happy, I don't know if it's Dom getting his kids back, the 'Time' theme, or just the look on Fischer's face when his subconscious gets the acceptance/closure he needs, it just makes my heart soar.

Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium, this film just makes my heart happy and actually has helped me cope with the deaths of several loved ones, I just think it's a beautiful film.

Labyrinth - not just because GUH, but because it makes me think of my youngest sister and bonding over it with her, despite the mahoosive age gap.

When Harry Met Sally, because it's a classic and because it makes me think of my other baby sister who still quotes it regularly. (Pecan Piiiiiiiie)

On the Town, Sinatra and Gene Kelly were my heroes as a kid.

I'm going to try and get through this without ranting - Return of the Jedi. The version I loved no longer exists due to George Lucas's insistence on changing the final product decades after the fact (oh look, here's that rant I wasn't going to do) so there's no dvd or bluray of my favourite film, so I can no longer watch it for comfort until the lovely fans who are restoring old versions in their own time get all the way through the trilogy.

Honourable mention goes to the Princess Bride, Moana, Superman, Heaven Can Wait, and a ton of other fab films I've been too wussy to consider 'comforting' for awhile 😉

🌺Favorite relaxing or uplifting song: Shake it Out by Florence and the Machine gives me the fuck yeah I need sometimes to lift me up but Bailero from Songs of the Auvergne by Joseph Canteloube makes my brain vibrate itself into a state of utter chill lol

🌹The best advice you’ve ever had: It’s a mishmash of ‘Be Kind. Always.’ because that should be true of how we treat each other and ourselves, and my Dad’s advice which was always to do your best because no one could ever ask for more from you than that.
