Just back from a working week up in Angus where, in between meetings yesterday, I was able to do a very brief bit of sightseeing, including this wonderful tribute to Bamse (Norwegian for "teddy bear") (1937 – 22 July 1944), a St. Bernard dog who became the heroic mascot of the Free Norwegian Forces during the Second World War. Apparently, he became a symbol of Norwegian freedom during the war.
