just a little fic in comic form i guess, about an alternate way they could have ruined Bill’s day in Sock Opera.

i imagine Bill is CRAZY touch-starved. a trillion years without a physical form has gotta mess a guy up. he’s always shoving people around and shaking hands and leaning on shoulders and stuff, but he doesn’t actually feel anything when he does it. possessing living bodies gives him a semblance of physical sensation, but it’s still just a shadow of the real thing.

also, i think Mabel gives, just, the best hugs in the universe.

In which Bill makes a grave tactical error.

i thought maybe this one was too OOC but my friend told me to post it anyway. idk, maybe i’m just writing totally different characters at this point. i just love the idea that Bill’s not used to people actually liking him when they don’t want something from him. so it totally kicks the legs out from under him when Mabel, someone he’s pretty much nothing but a burden on, just offhandedly mentions that she loves him like family.

i think they’d have a blast with karaoke. anyway i’m sure Bill’s plan to pretend to be Mabel’s friend and indulge all her silliness and whimsy so she’ll let her guard down while he plans to restart the portal will have no unforeseen complications whatsoever

i started making this just as a little character exploration thing, not planning to post it, but i ended up spending way too long on it not to. i still really like the idea of bill trying really hard to make up for hurting mabel in the past by being an aggressively good friend now, but not really fixing anything because actually acknowledging the bad stuff he did in any real way is way too painful.
