New Delhi: An interesting and timely webinar was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry by inviting the casting directors from Mumbai to project the correct position of the film and TV industry.
“The media and entertainment industry has grown with time. The number of film productions in Hindi as well as in regional languages has increased a lot. Accordingly the requirements of artist and technicians have gone much higher. The industry is catering to more than ten million workers in different segments and departments,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University initiating the webinar. Dr. Marwah said that you are not supposed to get glamourized in this industry but create waves to generate glamour for others, is the correct rule.
“There is a huge demand of educated and trained people in the industry who have right aptitude towards this industry where every product is very expensive. No body will give you chance again and again if your attitude is not good. Your behavior matters in this industry,” said Abhimanyu Ray senior casting director known for his films like Rang De Basanti, Chak De, Rocket Singh, Teen Pati, Kabul Express etc.
“There is lots of competition and It is survival of the fittest. You have to be on your toes. Auditions are the best way to get into the industry as far as acting is concerned. The new comers should not avoid small roles or small assignments,” said Priyata Dixit who has started her carrier with Ad Guru Prahalad Kakar and has been as casting Director with Sujoy Ghosh, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Goldie Behl.
“Television commercial are a very big segments for those who want to be on screen. It gives you instant presence and survival in Mumbai. You should never afraid from presenting yourself as the best actor as you can be suitable for any good role at a given time,” added Anamika Singh casting director and promoter of Veda Talents.
“One audition means hundreds of people at the same time. It gives us an opportunity to find the correct and appropriate artist for a given role and also to create our own artist bank, therefore one should keep on attending auditions without hesitation,” said Taran Bajaj casting director for Anurah Kashyap’s Bamfaad directed by Ranjan Chandel, Salman Khan’s Kagaz directed by Satish Kaushik, Jar Picture’s Halahal directed by Randeep Jha.
“Well there is a new heavy demand of young talented artists now for coming web series. There is a big scope for those who are ready for hard work. Events also keep these actors busy in Mumbai which is now a big business ,” said Rythem Dutta Event Designer and founder of Dearc Entertainment.
The session was very interactive and all the guests answered many questions asked by the young acting students of AAFT University. Ashok Tyagi General Secretary ICMEI paid vote of thanks.

Bamfaad review: Aditya Rawal and Shalini Pandey’s romance implodes
Bamfaad review: Aditya Rawal and Shalini Pandey’s romance implodes
[ad_1]
Bamfaad Director: Ranjan Chandel Cast: Aditya Rawal, Shalini Pandey, Vijay Varma, Jatin Sarna
In his directorial debut, Bamfaad, Ranjan Chandel manages to capture the old-world charm of Allahabad – not Prayagraj, but Ilahabad — as the locals would say. It is the perfect setting for dramatic young love, but Aditya Rawal and Shalini Pandey’s romance is not quite the explosive and heady…

Paresh Rawal on son Aditya’s Bamfaad: ‘Was surprised to know my son has signed a film as an actor’ - bollywood
https://www.liveindiatimes.com/paresh-rawal-on-son-adityas-bamfaad-was-surprised-to-know-my-son-has-signed-a-film-as-an-actor-bollywood/
Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya is all set to make his acting debut in the upcoming digital film Bamfaad, but the National Award-winning veteran actor always thought that Rawal junior would be a writer because he had studied creative writing. The proud father, however, is emotional and overwhelmed seeing his son on screen.
“The fact that he has signed a film as an actor came as a surprise to me. Aditya had an interest in writing. He is a very good scriptwriter. He writes dialogues and poetry, and I have seen how good he is as a writer. He went abroad and studied (writing), too. So naturally, I thought that he will write films. I did not know that the script he and the team of his film were working on over the past one month was actually his acting assignment! They were doing a workshop. But when I got to know it is his acting debut, I was surprised pleasantly!” Paresh told IANS.

He added, about the cast and crew of his son’s debut project: “I know all these youngsters, and all of them are hard-working. Now that I know they put their heart and soul into Bamfaad, I really want people to love their work. My wish is not just for Aditya but the whole team.”
“Bamfaad” also features Vinay Varma and Jatin Sarma among others, and is set to release on Friday on ZEE5.
While the trailer has received positive feedback, what was his reaction of watching his son on screen? “As a father, when I watched my son on screen, it was an emotional and overwhelming moment. I think he does not look like a debutant. His body language, expressions, dialogue delivery are all in control. He looks the part. He carried himself well as a character in the film. I appreciate that,” Paresh replied.

“Usually in a debut film, we look for the potential in an actor. I think Aditya has it in him. As an actor, his basics are correct,” said Paresh.
Does he see a younger version of himself in Aditya? “Not at all. Aditya’s approach to a character, and style of acting are way different from mine. He is methodical as a performer, I am spontaneous. These are two different styles of acting. I think we are also different as individuals.”
So, what is his tip for Aditya? “I think we all emphasise on hard work. What I told Aditya is, do your hard work as part of your preparation and unlearn it when you are acting. Audience tumahara hard work nahin, ek film dekhne aa rahein hain (the audience is not coming to see your hard work, they are coming to watch a film). So, people should see the character in you and not Aditya, who is playing the character, or the hard work in between. It has to be seamless. You are an artist, not labour. Warna banawati lagta hai, darshak woh nahin dekhega (otherwise it seems fake, people won’t watch it),” Paresh signed off.
