#mondaymotivation and since I posted the pics of my #Macallan edition no 1 I have gotten a ton of question on #whiskyinvestment and what bottles to buy. Honestly my theory is buy #whisky that A you would drink if this does not work out, B buy whisky that was limited in release, and C, buy whisky from established and #whiskydistillery that people would want the whisky from. In summary don’t go spend your money on a dozen #yamazaki 12, rather go buy a #macallan25. Don’t to buy the whole shelf of #michters toasted barrel #ryewhiskey, rather go buy some #michters10 bourbon and rye. You get the idea, we saw people hoarding #gameofthrones whisky, I mean wtf were they thinking, buy a #balvenie30, no distillery is pumping out #scotch or #bourbon over 20 years old very fast these days. At the end of the day use #commonsense and remember to drink whisky too because of point A, but B and C are just as important. Aldi's Glen Orrin 30yr old is not something you see on best whiskies list but it does tick a lot of boxes. Its an extremely affordable 30 year old #blendedwhisky with a very good profile for a 40% abv. And I rate this at number 4 for its overall value. Fresh cut grass, honey and cinnamon blend beautifully on the nose. Candy floss sweetness begins to dominate the palate with cardamon providing good balance. Theres a touch of honey dew on the finish along with a touch of smoke.
