okay it's getting kinda ridiculous now how all real madrid players are making posts about vini.

they look like spoiled kids who always got what they wanted from their rich parents and now that it didn't go their way they are having a full blown meltdown it's INSANE.

Vinicius didnt deserve it. He was not real madrid's best player last season. Much less, brazil's. Bellingham did not deserve it. His prime was like 5 months of making himself look busy and score some goals. Carvajal was not madrid's best player, he was not spai's best player.

Rodri was KEY for both man city and spain. Hence the meltdown we all had and so many people had when he got injured. Everyone who is a rival literally celebrated it because they know how important he is to both teams. He was consistent, he won so many trophies, more trophies than lost games. That literally should tell you everything.

All madrid fans need to stop living in delulu land pls.

i posted this on Twitter but here’s my take on the ballon dor racism situation:

vini was not snubbed entirely due to systematic racism. france football is probably an inherently racist institution. they can both be true!

France football didn’t start awarding non European players until fairly recently in the grand scale of things, so yes, it’s possible that the institution itself has roots in racism. Additionally, the Ballon d’Or is voted on by journalists—humans with biases, and sometimes those biases are racist. However that claim, even if there’s a likelihood is true, can’t explain the snubbing entirely.

On the other hand, Vinicius most likely lost votes due to the success of his teammates and the closeness of the race. This year, Bellingham won Player of the Season and went to the Euros final. Carvajal won the UCL and the Euros and scored in the CL final. Rodeo was consistent year round, won the Euros and PotT. Vini had a great UCL season, but only showed up in the 2nd half of the season and not at all in the Copa—which is incredibly important for the Ballon d’Or. So, there’s not much discerning Vini from his teammates. They split the vote of those who favored looking at people’s stats in the club season.

Also, everyone just prematurely assumed Vini would be winning the Ballon d’Or. It was never confirmed! It was always a close race and there have been even greater snubbings for people who probably put up better stats (Neymar, Lewandowski, Ribery, etc.).

So yeah. Could racism be a factor? It almost always is to some extent. Is it also wrong to say it was the ONLY reason when there are so many other issues at okay? Yeah.

the people arguing that now carvajal deserves it more (delusional real madrid fans) really do not understand how key and CONSISTENT rodri has been not just this year, but like 3 years in a row. Do not compare rodri's level to carvajal's level please. Rodri has been key for city, carvajal is not key for madrid nor spain.

Last year everyone argued international trophies were more important than ucl, now somehow this year ucl is more important? what?
