TW: This is a Creepypasta on Tom and Jerry.
If you are someone who gets things ruined for you easily or “i’ll never see this the same” PLEASE do not proceed. It contains blood and scary themes. Thank you.
•••
The thirteen Tom and Jerry shorts made by the Czechoslovakian director Gene Deitch are infamous for their poor quality and rather disturbing nature, featuring badly done sound effects and animation and having a more realistic feel to the violence. Some have speculated that Deitch didn't like the concept behind Tom and Jerry and was pressured into making them, and wanted to make the people who watched his take on it feel bad for liking the concept.
What many people don't know is that Deitch was originally signed on to make more than the thirteen episodes the public has access to.
Desperate to get out of his contract, when I was 16 or something I was walking home then I noticed I tripped on a tape, that tape was made by Deitch and he made one more Tom and Jerry short you have ever seen.
The short was called "Tom's Basement." I got surprised so I ran to my house and pop up the tape It showed Jerry out of a mouse hole smiling with Tom's face in it. With the words Tom and Jerry then it showed a basement with the words Tom's Basement.
It opened with Tom in a typical Tom and Jerry house. His owner was the fat, angry guy from other Deitch shorts.
Tom's owner seemed even angrier than in his other appearances; the first scene is him stomping on Tom's tail in a very realistic and painful looking way because Tom is sleeping by the basement door.
The owner yells at Tom to never go down there. Tom is clearly terrified and runs away to another room. Our view stays in the room by the basement door and we see Jerry come out of a mouse hole.
He looks truly grotesque, far more off-model than in the other Deitch shorts. He gets an evil look on his face and follows Tom into the next room.
The next few minutes are fairly formulaic. Jerry repeatedly manages to trick Tom into chasing him to the basement door a few times, but each time the owner catches Tom he inflicts a painful looking injury on him, which stay with Tom even after the scene ends.
After three beatings, Tom is bruised all over, bleeding in a few places, and limping on a broken leg. After this, Tom starts to literally beg Jerry not to bother him any more; he's not really talking, but he's crying and mumbling, and you can tell what he's doing by his body language. Jerry just laughs at him and pushes him back to the basement door.
The owner catches Tom again and goes ballistic. The camera zooms in on his face - it changes color and distorts as he yells at Tom in a much louder voice than any other sound in the cartoon. I can't post most of what he said on here, but it's definitely vicious and furious. It seems like Jerry has finally decided to take pity on Tom, though.
Jerry picks up a knife that was lying around and stabs the owner in the leg, quite graphically. Tom opens the basement door and they carry the owner's body down the stairs.
There are dozens of other bodies down there, decaying and showing signs of their violent deaths. Tom and Jerry shake hands and it seems like they've triumphed over the serial killer... But Jerry gets an evil look in his face again and Tom says, in that ghostly, deep voice...
"DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT!"
Jerry stabs Tom, killing him, and throws his body into the pile. The last shot is Jerry putting up a 'For Sale' sign on the yard of the house, laughing, clearly planning to do it all again.

A potential scenario worth reading all the way through. The foolishness of “Tough-Guy Diplomacy” throws caution to the wind. - Phroyd
As tensions mount between the United States and Iran, American and Iranian leaders publicly insist they want to avoid war. Yet history is littered with accidents, misperceptions, miscalculations, hidden bureaucratic agendas and other factors that produced armed conflicts nobody seemed to want. This is one fictional example of how easily a war between the United States and Iran could start. None of this has happened — but it could.
On Aug. 7, 2019, Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force, rushed out of an emergency session of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. The meeting was discussing how to respond to news that Iran’s oil sales — the lifeblood of the Islamic republic’s economy — had plummeted to only a few hundred thousand barrels a day, down more than 2 million barrels in just 18 months, because of U.S. sanctions.
Soleimani had a few important calls to make. The first two were to the commanders of Asaib Ahl al-Haq and Kataib Hezbollah, the most prominent Iranian-backed Shiite militias in Iraq. Since the defeat of the Islamic State’s territorial “caliphate,” these militants had been itching to turn their sights on the 5,000 U.S. troops who remain in Iraq, with the goal of driving them out. Soleimani had cautioned patience, but his guidance now took a decisive turn: “Brothers, you have my authorization. Follow the righteous path.”
Soleimani’s next call went to Hasan Nasrallah, the leader of Lebanese Hezbollah, the most capable Iranian proxy in the Middle East. Despite hundreds of Israeli strikes in recent years against Hezbollah arms shipments and Iranian bases in Syria, the organization and its backers in Tehran had not yet waged an all-out war across Israel’s northern frontier. Still, everyone knew that such a conflict was inevitable at some point, and Soleimani told Nasrallah that the time might be approaching. “The American-Zionist alliance is plotting and a storm is coming,” he said. “Be ready.”
One week after Soleimani’s calls, a U.S. diplomatic convoy traveling from the heavily fortified Green Zone to Baghdad International Airport was hit by several powerful roadside bombs. A high-level State Department political officer, three other diplomats and a U.S. Army colonel were killed instantly.
Within hours, other attacks followed, including a barrage of rocket and mortar fire on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that destroyed the main dining hall and killed five Iraqis cleaning the grounds. At the same time, a suicide attacker hit a U.S. military unit operating in eastern Syria, near the Iraqi border. Two American Special Operations troops were killed, and two more were taken hostage by a Syrian militia widely believed to be backed by Iran.
Under any circumstances, these incidents would spark a crisis. But they occurred against a backdrop of escalating tensions and provocations between Washington and Tehran that began after the Trump administration withdrew from the Obama-era nuclear agreement with Iran in 2018. The subsequent “maximum pressure” campaign the administration applied to cut off Iran’s oil sales and connections to the international banking system deepened the siege mentality in Tehran. The U.S. decision to designate the Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization, overruling warnings from the Pentagon, made the situation even tenser. Iran responded by restarting some proscribed nuclear activities and carrying out calibrated provocations in May, hoping to reciprocate U.S. pressure and build leverage in the event that negotiations with the Great Satan ever resumed.
In June and July 2019, there were more incidents of sabotage targeting ships across the Persian Gulf. Meanwhile, Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen stepped up their attacks on Saudi Arabia, firing missiles at oil facilities and attacking Saudi oil tankers on their way to Europe. Then, in late July, Saudi Aramco — the national oil and gas company — suffered a devastating cyberattack, shutting down its operations for nearly a week.
Stepping back from the nuclear accord, Iran also began accumulating higher-than-allowed levels of heavy water and low-enriched uranium. By late July, after European negotiators failed to salvage the deal, Iran had reinstalled centrifuges at its deeply buried Fordow facility, threatening to resume enrichment. Soon, Western intelligence agencies estimated that it would take less than a year for Iran to produce the explosive fuel for a single nuclear device, eroding the delays in “break-out time” that the nuclear accord had brought. This prompted Israeli and American threats to take military action if Iran got too close to acquiring the bomb.
So the region was already on a knife’s edge when news of the August attacks in Iraq and Syria reached the White House. Predictably, Trump lashed out on Twitter: “We will respond to Iran’s acts of Aggression and there will be even more Hell to pay if our Brave Soldiers are not returned immediately. The demented and decaying regime in Tehran will feel Power and Wrath the likes of which the world has never seen.” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei responded with his own tweet: “The great Iranian nation will not be intimidated by a corrupt and criminal superpower spreading lies and beating the drums of war. The world knows Iran is in the right and all should be certain of America’s defeat.”
It was unclear exactly what Trump’s threats implied. But the president found himself under increasing pressure from Republican hawks in Congress and hard-liners within his administration to take immediate military action.
Trump worried about what this would mean for his reelection prospects. He had campaigned against further interventions in the Middle East. But he had also spent years trashing Obama’s “horrible” nuclear deal, and he had repeatedly promised to use “great force” in response to Iranian attacks. Ultimately, Trump feared that looking weak would do him more harm in 2020 than risking further escalation.
So having sent one aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf in May, Trump agreed to deploy a second carrier , along with additional squadrons of aircraft. U.S.-based strategic bombers were placed on high alert. Trump also authorized unilateral raids in Baghdad against an Asaib Ahl al-Haq bomb-making cell and a Kataib Hezbollah rocket team. Mysterious explosions were reported at several munitions depots and training camps inside Iran, near the Iraqi border, and ATMs across Iran suddenly ceased functioning for two days. While no one claimed credit, Iranian and international media outlets suggested that the CIA and the Mossad were responsible.
Tensions finally boiled over in the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow passageway in the Persian Gulf through which 20 percent of the world’s tradable oil passes. Several Iranian fast-attack craft swarmed nearby U.S. naval vessels. When the Iranian boats ignored U.S. warnings, an American destroyer fired on them, killing everyone aboard Iran’s vessels.
Fearing that this was the first skirmish in a wider naval war, Iran began dispersing its mines, anti-ship cruise missiles and mobile ballistic missiles, lest they be struck by U.S. bombers. The Pentagon’s proposed response was a large-scale preemptive strike to neutralize the weapons before they posed a significant threat to U.S. forces, bases, allies and shipping. National security adviser John Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also urged Trump to hit Iran’s nuclear program at the same time (something Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during numerous calls to Trump, agitated for as well). Pompeo assured the president that he doid not require additional congressional authorization beyond that provided after 9/11 to launch such an attack, given alleged links between Iran and al-Qaeda.
Within days, the United States unleashed a multi-day bombardment of Iranian air and coastal defense systems, mine storage facilities, ports, and ballistic missile locations, as well as strikes on the Natanz and Fordow uranium enrichment plants, the uranium conversion facility at Isfahan, the Arak reactor, and several Revolutionary Guard bases where the administration alleged (with no clear evidence) that suspicious nuclear-related research had been conducted. Coordinated cyber-attacks — believed to originate from Israel and the United States — struck Iran’s electrical grid.
The Islamic republic responded by dropping hundreds of surviving mines into the Strait of Hormuz, terrorizing oil shipping with suicide boats and kamikaze drones, and targeting U.S. military facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates with missiles. Meanwhile, Houthi attacks on Saudi territory escalated.
As the battle unfolds, American overmatch soon produced significant tactical successes. Iran’s nuclear program was set back at least two years, its air and coastal defenses lay in ruins, and much of its navy was sunk to the bottom of the sea. Yet global stock markets panicked as oil prices spiked and fears of an all-out regional war grew.
The Iranian regime, defiant and far from defeated, announced its formal withdrawal from the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. “Having been attacked by a nuclear aggressor,” President Hassan Rouhani declared, “Iran has no choice but to pursue all necessary capabilities to deter the enemy.”
Determined to “restore deterrence” and show that its homeland could not be struck with impunity, Iran also directed Lebanese Hezbollah to unleash tens of thousands of rockets and precision-guided missiles against Israel, overwhelming missile defenses and striking civilian targets in Tel Aviv and other cities. Simultaneously, Hezbollah and Iranian forces launched attacks from Syrian territory, opening a second front against Israel. Hundreds died, and Israel’s economy stood paralyzed.
Israel responded with massive force, not just bombarding southern Lebanon but also saturating Hezbollah and government targets in Beirut, killing or wounding thousands of civilians. Israel’s air force struck Iranian and Hezbollah targets in Syria, as well, while Israeli ground forces prepped for a large-scale land incursion to clear out Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon and establish a buffer zone in Syria across the Golan Heights.
As the bloodshed mounted, the Trump administration defended Israel’s right to use all means to protect itself, while a horrified world called for calm.
Nothing seemed to be enough to end the cycle of carnage.
Iran and its proxies drew more Israeli and American blood — and vice versa — and oil prices surged even higher, risking a U.S. recession. The voices calling on Trump to come to Israel’s aid and finish off the Iranian regime once and for all became an unstoppable crescendo.
As in 1914, at the outset of World War I, events took on a cruel logic of their own, and the Guns of August sounded.
Having invested his credibility and political future in looking tough, Trump seemed to have no choice. A president who promised to extricate America from endless wars in the Middle East found himself sending more than 100,000 troops back into the desert. Only this time, the United States was invading a country with 80 million people (twice Iraq’s population), a territory 68 percent larger than Iraq and Afghanistan combined, and with hundreds of thousands of the best paramilitary troops in the world.
Asked at an impromptu news conference about the deployment, Trump simply said, “I warned Iran that if they chose to fight, we would end them.” It was a war that neither Trump nor Iranian leaders wanted — and yet, at each critical moment, escalation seemed like the only way to defend vital national interests and respond to political imperatives. Circumstances had simply become too combustible. And once the fuse was lit, no one could stop the explosion.

Knife Market - Insights
Knife is a tool with a cutting edge attached to a handle. Knifes are used in food industry for handling and preparing food. Cutting plays a vital role in every stage of food processing. Various types of knives include bayonet, ballistic knife, combat knife, dagger, butterfly knife, and others. The market is projected to reach US$ 2,848.9 million by the end of 2027, at a CAGR of 4.5% over the forecast period (2019 – 2027), owing to increasing demand for knives from the food industry for cutting poultry, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, etc.
Availability of an array of knifes at low costs is driving growth of the global knife market. For instance, different types of kitchen knives include the chef’s knife which has blade size between 6 and 14 inches, paring knife, which is commonly used for chopping fruits and vegetables; utility knives which have blade size between 4 and 7 inches, bread knife, carving knife, which is used for carving meat, cleaver, which is a rectangular knife, steak knife, kitchen shears, which are used in cutting herbs, etc., and lettuce knife which is used in cutting salads among others.
Players operating in the knife market are adopting inorganic growth strategies such as product development, product launches, and innovative packaging ideas to enhance their product portfolio, and cater to increasing consumer demand. For instance, in April 2019, Urban Bar introduced Coley Bar Knife with a double sided 4.5 inch high grade 18/8 steel blade and a premium Swiss Pear wood handle.
Stringent government regulations to use, manufacture, import, sell, and transport knives is a major factor hindering growth of the global knife market. For instance, under the Switchblade Knife Act of 1958 (amended in 1986), switchblades and ballistic knives are banned from interstate shipment, sales, importation, and possession in any territory or possession in the U.S. land belonging to the U.S. federal government with the exception of federal and state law enforcement agencies and the military.
The global knife market was valued at US$ 1,916.0 Million in 2018, and is expected to register a CAGR of 4.5% in terms of value to reach US$ 2,848.9 Million by 2027 over the forecast period (2019 – 2027).

Asia Pacific is expected to hold a dominant position in the global knife market. Increasing use of knives in various applications such as cutting, trimming, slitting and slicing meat, poultry, pork, fruit, vegetables, and bakery products in food processing industry is expected to boost demand for knives in the region over the forecast period. The food processing industry is a major growth area for the Asia Pacific knife market, therefore growth of the food industry is expected to drive demand for knife market in the region. According to Invest India, the Indian processed food market was valued at US$ 322 billion in 2016 and is expected to reach US$ 543 billion by the end of 2020, at a growth rate of 14.6% during 2016 to 2020.

These are small and compact knives which can be folded easily to conceal the blade when not in use. Folding knives are self-retracting and blades are easily replaceable. It is an optimum choice to prevent injuries at the workplace. These factors are expected to drive demand for folding knives in the global knife market during the forecast period.
Players operating in the global knife market are adopting various growth strategies such as mergers and acquisitions in order to enhance their market share. For instance, in December 2018, Pacific Handy Cutter, a manufacturer of safety cutting tools, acquired Klever Innovations, a manufacturer of a full line of concealed bladed safety cutters. Through this acquisition, Pacific Handy Cutter aims to strengthen their market position in the production, designing and distribution of blades and safety cutting tools.

The Essentials For The Best Bug Out Bag
Apart from ammunition sales, Redline Ballistics is an authority on tactical gear Sacramento based products. We stock a wide variety of products to fulfill the needs of range hobbyists and outdoorsmen. From our offerings, you could essentially build a bug out bag that’ll get you through any tight spot.
What’s A Bug Out Bag?
A bug out bag is a handy, short-term emergency pack that keeps necessary items accessible and in one place. We consider these packs a must-have during outdoor survival situations and natural disasters but they could be extremely useful for smaller inconveniences like power outages and car breakdowns. Most bug out bags are meant to ensure survival for the first 72 hours of a crisis.
Choosing My Bag
Though many opt into using military-style bags or backpacks, bug out bags don’t necessarily have to be actual backpacks. Your bug out bag can be any type of container or pack that can fit in your trunk. Next time you think of throwing out that Rubbermaid food container, imagine the other uses for it.
Your bag must blend with its surroundings. Typically black or black nylon colored bags are great when you’re traveling urban settings. Camouflage patterns are ideal when traversing the wilderness. At the end of the day, the goal is to have your pack be inconspicuous.
The Contents
As we get into what to throw into your bug out bag, keep in mind you need to customize the contents to your area and your needs. Most importantly, first aid supplies should be the top of your list. Gauze, bandages, rubbing alcohol, and prescription medications are all survival necessities to consider in your pack. For personal effects, you should pack hygiene products, three days worth of undergarments, a couple of shirts and pants, and thermals and jackets to keep you warm. Tools to consider include local maps, a compass, shovel, knife, flashlight, and a small pan. Lastly, dependant on your pack’s size constraints, shelter items like a tent or tarp and sleeping bags ensure you’ll be ready for the elements.
About Redline Ballistics
Our tactical gear Sacramento store is the best source for you to start planning the necessities for your bug out bag. We stock the latest and greatest in tactical brands and ammunition to satisfy your needs. Visit our site for store information or check us out on Facebook and Instagram.

I’m the One Who Wears Cashmere
inspired by @reioka‘s idea about Bucky wearing sweaters on assassin missions because it’s cozy.
Tony really hated that Natasha was putting him on a blind date, because he could pick out his own people just fine. “The last one you picked try to murder you,” Natasha says flatly.
“You try to murder Clint literally everyday he visits your apartment with his dog, are you sure you’re the best candidate to tell me this?” Tony asks. Natasha shrugs.
“Well, I have a reason to try and murder him. Lucky gets on my couch. The only thing that gets on that couch is me, blankets, and occasionally pizza rolls.”
“Pizza rolls are not an occasional thing, you buy them in the forty-count bags,” Tony replies. “Do I really have to go on a date? I could be building a death ray right now.”
“A.) Don’t build a death ray unless my people rise again. B.) You’ll like this guy.”
“Natasha, you moved from Russia when you were, like, twelve. Don’t call them your people, I’ve already been asked by Steve if I’m harboring a communist.” Natasha actually snorts at that.
“Steve was joking. He knows that he’s really the one who works hard and seizes the means of production.” Tony actually laughs at that. “By the way, wear that oversized red sweater that you swear you didn’t steal from Rhodey. It looks good on you.”
“It makes me look like I’m twelve,” Tony whines.
“No, it doesn’t. No twelve year old has awesome facial hair.”
“You agree it’s awesome?! Score! I told Stephen it was cool.”
“Whatever. You’re meeting Barnes at the soup and bread restaurant on the corner. You know, where Boris sells his ‘authentic’ knives?”
“Oh my god, it’s one of your creepy friends. No, nope, nada. I’m not going.” Natasha levels him with a glare that would be enough to overtake the roll of president and maybe get a free coffee from that hipster place a block over. “Fine, I’m going. But if I don’t come back by one in the morning...”
“I’ll just tell Rhodey that you went on a date and he’ll go ballistic and call the military to find you or whatever. Move, Clint’s coming over to watch Dog Cops with me.”
Bucky is at the restaurant, sitting by himself for all of ten minutes. He hates that Natasha threatens to do this to him. Apparently, he needs “regular interaction.” Whatever that is, he gets it. He pets a dog everyday. Talks with Boris about his knives. Hisses at cats because they’re as bad as Steve’s friend Sam is. (He hates Sam. And his insistence that birds are better than dogs, because They Are Not.)
Natasha texted him that there would be a man in an over-sized red sweater. Bucky doesn’t bother trying to make assumptions; while Natasha is great at many things, setting up dates isn’t always the best. She thought Johnny Storm would’ve made a great match for Sharon, which the most hilarious thought since dogs falling off slides.
Tony sees Bucky, the guy with the Murder Face and a menu in front of his face. He could just ditch this. Tell Natasha that everything was great. But then he runs the risk of hurting this Bucky’s feelings, and that is Not A Good Thing. So, he sits down at the table, and the man puts his menu down.
Oh. God.
That face is the best thing since Rhodey showed him that video of Steve falling in the parking lot. (They have a weird friendship, and Rhodey just flat out does not Tolerate Steve a lot.)
“Hello,” Bucky says, voice all gravelly. “Are you Tony?”
“Yes, hello,” Tony says. “You’re Bucky right? Because if this is the wrong booth, then I am ditching whoever Natasha said was Bucky. Wait, you’d never know me if you weren’t Bucky, okay, cool. Oh, wow, this is a thing I’m doing. Rambling.” Bucky smiles at him, and that is like gold all on its own. That could be currency, oh god. Bucky Smiles, worth a million dollars.
“How was your day today?” Bucky asks, sliding him a menu.
“It was pretty good, not gonna lie. I saw two dogs and one video of a baby giraffe,” Tony says. He’s not afraid to admit that dogs and videos of baby animals are awesome. “How was your day?”
“I killed a guy,” Bucky says with a shrug. “I also bought a new sweater.” Tony laughs, because he’s just so casual with the joke that it makes him sound like he actually killed a man.
“What’s the sweater like?” Bucky thrusts out his sweater sleeve, and Tony gets to touch it. It’s soft, a cable knit. It actually is a nice color; a dark green that Tony would wear too. “Oh my god, that’s so soft.”
“Yeah, it was on sale too!” Bucky adds. “Seventy-five percent off.”
“That. Is. Amazing. Where?” So, conversation starts. They talk around their food and drink. Bucky learns that Tony is an engineer, super smart, and knows Steve.
They’re walking home--well, Bucky is walking Tony home. Everything is going great, Bucky is telling him about Supreme Evil Sam, when someone is ahead of them. They look dangerous; bulky, breathing heavy, basically every jock Tony had experienced in high school. “Hey buddy,” Tony says, trying to move. The guy grabs him arm--what the heck--and turns him around to face Bucky.
“It’s you or him,” he growls.
“Bucky, please either call 911 or get him breath mints, this guy’s breath is rank,” Tony says as calmly as possible.
Instead, Bucky grabs a knife and nails the guy in the head. It is safe to say that Tony was not expecting that. “Oh god oh god Bucky what the hell did you do oh my god--”
“Tony, please be quiet and help me drag him to my car,” Bucky says. Tony stands frozen. “Tony, I told you what I do for a living. I kill people.”
“Are you gonna kill me?”
“You’re too sweet to kill.”
“Oh my god thank you, that’s so sweet--NO WAIT YOU KILL PEOPLE?!” Bucky rolls his eyes, having the decency to look at least sheepish. “Bucky, no offense, but no one kills someone in sweaters.”
“They’re cozy,” Bucky says. He pops the trunk, lifting the body in. Tony can’t look, and pulls out his cellphone. “Don’t call 911. I’ve been tracking this guy for months. He’s a human trafficker.”
“I’m calling Nat,” Tony says shakily. “Oh my god, what am I gonna do? I can’t go to jail, the judge at court hates me and will sentence me to death!”
“There’s more than one judge, Tony,” Bucky says. “And you’re not going to jail.”
“Hello?” Natasha answers. “Tony, this better be an emergency.”
“You didn’t tell me that my date kills people for a living,” Tony hisses into the phone. “And in a soft sweater!”
“Put him on the phone,” Natasha says curtly. “Clint, don’t try and dominate Lucky in this round, you’ll never win.” Tony passes the phone to Bucky.
“You aren’t supposed to reveal that until the third date,” Natasha hisses. “Did we go over all this for nothing?”
“To be fair, he’s taking it better than Steve did,” Bucky defends. “And Tony likes that I pet dogs everyday and my sweaters.”
“Okay, fine. Come to my place with the car. I’ll dump it.” Bucky nods. “Clint, I swear to god if you touch my borscht I’ll cut your arm off. How do you think Bucky got his arm?” Bucky snorts, hanging up.
“We need to go to Natasha’s.”
“Wait, she knows about this?!”
“She helped me get the job. I don’t kill innocent people,” Bucky says, blush forming. God, he’s getting sappy over murder. Not something that happens every day. “I kill the really, really bad ones. Like human traffickers and people who want to release rare diseases into the atmosphere. I saved Iowa from destroying itself last month.” Tony nods.
“Oh. So it’s bad people?” Bucky nods. “Okay, that’s not so bad. But what if you ruin your sweaters?”
“I’m too good to ruin any of my sweaters,” Bucky boasts. Tony rolls his eyes.
“Sure you are.” Bucky grins at him. “So, next date, I’m choosing where we go, and I choose a shelter so we can volunteer and walk dogs.”
“Best date ever,” Bucky agrees solemnly.
Their third date goes a bit sideways; they have to wash a sweater that got drenched. Bucky cries. Tony tries to placate him with funny videos of cats falling and stories about his utter disappointment of a robot that is his pride and joy, Dum-E.

Goodbye, Peter Pan [Chapter 6]
All that we know will someday fall with the crescendo.
CSI!Bangtan AU. Chapter 5 → Chapter 6 → Chapter 7
If it goes boom, burn all evidence and find a new room, is the weaponry division’s unofficial and only marginally macabre motto. The entire department has always struck you as somewhat of an amusement land, filled with exotic contraptions and rows of blank shooting targets and armament specialists who shoot at said targets with far too much enthusiasm than needed. If the Seoul branch was headed by a director of any other name they would likely be put on probation for their “rampant and disorderly conduct,” but Min Yoongi, to put it eloquently, does not give a flying rat’s ass about professional standards and upholding the rules, so long as they get him the results he needs.
The soft tunes of Vivaldi float throughout the room, at utter odds with the array of ammunition scattered over a large table. A single man is seated there, head bent over bullets as he examines them carefully for defects. His left hand is encased in a sleek leather glove, but the form-fitting article does nothing to inhibit his ease as he picks up pellets one after another. The corner of your lip twitches. Of course, classy and conscientious as always. “If that’s how you practice your stealth tactics, I can guarantee you’ll be the first to get killed in battle. I could hear you stomping from down the hall.” The man doesn’t look up as you and Hoseok approach but the grin is as clear as crystal in his voice. “Then it’s a good thing we’ve put the wars behind us, isn’t it?” You come to a halt directly in front of the otherwise preoccupied male, with Hoseok observing just a few steps to the side. “Where’s your team today, Nams?”
Kim Namjoon finally lifts his chin and sends you a closed-eye smile. He’s an impressively lanky man, who, at first glance, appears to be more limb than anything else, with an ever-present twinkle in his eyes and hair that gleams the colour of dusty moonlight. You’re convinced that at least half of his paycheck goes towards hair maintenance, but he continuously insists that he’s never touched a box of dye before in his life. “They’re all off in the shooting range. We just got a new shipment of Springfield XDs and they’ve been making bets all morning about who has the better aim. Apparently the first to get ten bulls-eyes in a row will be exempted from cleaning duty for a week.” “And what, you didn’t want in on the action?” “I am the leader of the weaponry unit,” he says, straightening his spine in a dignified manner. “It wouldn’t do for me to engage in horseplay when there are dangerous criminals to be found. Besides, we all know who really possess the best aim here.” He places the shell down and stands at his full height. “Am I correct in guessing that this is our friend from the head office?” You make the necessary introductions as Namjoon offers his concealed hand. Hoseok looks at it briefly before accepting the handshake. “The gunpowder will stain your glove if you’re not careful,” Hoseok says dryly, but Namjoon only chuckles before turning back to you. “Now, I suppose you’re here about the distillery district corpse? Unless my favourite detective has finally decided to take me out to lunch as promised?” “Okay, one, I never agreed to take you out to anything, and two, favourite detective? Yoongi would be heartbroken if he heard you say that,” you laugh. Next to you Hoseok tilts his head, watching with an air of barely concealed boredom. “Oh please, that man wouldn’t know heartbreak if it shot him in the leg with a Beretta M9,” Namjoon dismisses. He sets the ammunition down and nods at the folder in your hand. “Alright, let’s see it, then. Judging from what I’ve been told I can already guess as to what we’re looking at, and frankly speaking, I’m surprised you even bothered with coming here. You already knew before you came to see me, didn’t you?” “Well, yes,” you admit, “But you know that we always need to confirm it with an expert before we can say for certain.” You flip open the file and set it on the empty space beside the piles of bullets. Photographs begin to appear one by one: detailed eight by twelve prints of limbs resting perfectly still on a stainless steel surface, pale, porcelain skin which lacks the lustre of pumping blood and oxygen. You imagine that if the killer had chosen to leave the head intact, you would perhaps see a picture of listless eyes staring at something that is no longer there. The purpose of cameras is to immortalize moments in life, you think, yet all that this one has managed to capture is an immortality of death instead. You tap on the photograph nearest to you. “Since you know all of the details I’ll get right to it. Look at these marks here, on the neck. I’ve already spoken to our pathologist friend but I’d like to hear your opinion on it, as well. Can you tell me what sort of weapon was used for the strangling?” “I’ll do you one better, I can show you instead what caused it.” The ballistics specialist lopes towards his office, a room strategically hidden in the far corner of the room, leaving you and Hoseok to stand together in silence. Hoseok examines the photos with renewed interest. He’s also been gifted with the endowment of height, you notice, so he chooses to pick them up individually rather than bend down and break his neck. You watch him for a moment and remember that he hasn’t had a chance to read the post-mortem report yet. Recalling the initial conversation you’d had in your office prior, you decide to take a shot at- what will hopefully be- a civil conversation. He’s ‘one of the top,’ was what Yoongi had grudgingly relayed to you. You try to keep this in mind as you point to the photo suspended in mid-air. “What do you think, then?” He doesn’t bother looking up as he answers, “Seeing as we’re about to get the expert’s opinion, I don’t really see the point in asking for mine, do you?” Well, it was a valiant attempt anyway. Thankfully, you’re spared from having to respond as Namjoon reemerges from his office. He rejoins you and the increasingly exasperating man at the table, holding what appears to be a sheet of paper and a twiny rope in his grasp. You do your best to hold back a smile. “Don’t tell me you still air out your pants in there?” During your first month at the station, there had been a time when you’d witnessed the weapons expert hanging up a pair of wet boxers to dry, following an unfortunate but highly entertaining incident that had involved three full water bottles and an overly confident new recruit. “A man must take whatever steps necessary to keep his clothes in a presentable state,” Namjoon answers in a voice that leaves no room for further questions or jests. With mismatching hands he arranges the rope so that it lies in a neat, orderly line. “As you’re both aware, the diagnosis was that the victim was strangled before death occurred,” he begins. “The bruises are fairly difficult to make out, but if you look closely at this picture here you can see that they form a thin, slightly ridged pattern.” He traces the cord with his ungloved hand. “That pattern is consistent with the one we’d get from this piece. You’re looking at a laundry rope, similar to what I have here, or possibly one of those cables used to hold up camping tents.” “Those kinds of ropes are sold and thrown away like lemon candy,” you contemplate aloud. Next to you Hoseok has fallen silent once more, arms folded, eyes boring into the rope with the same indecipherable stare as before. “I wouldn’t bet on finding it, would you? It’s about as traceable as the blade will be.” “More specifically, the hand saw,” Namjoon corrects, pointing to another photograph. “You can tell from the tearings in the flesh. The edges aren’t consistent with a chainsaw’s markings, and a serrated kitchen knife- maybe one used for cutting bread- wouldn’t be strong enough to cut through the bone.” “And hand saws are especially easy to dispose of,” you finish for him. “Throw one into a junkyard and nobody will look twice at it. Almost every hardware store will have them for sale, so it’ll be hard to follow up on this lead.” “If you can even call it a lead at all,” Hoseok finally says. He meets your gaze and jerks his head towards the forensic shots. “I doubt anything useful will come out of tracing the weapons. You said it yourself, Inspector; laundry ropes are common and hand saws are everywhere. Unless we somehow find the original ones used by the killer, how likely are we to get any useful information?” “You’d be surprised at what you can find if you’re thorough enough,” you shrug, although a part of you reluctantly agrees. It’s not as though you’re dealing with highly specialized weapons here. It’s a laundry rope. And a hand saw. Ordinary objects that anybody would have in their basement or garage. As if offering a gesture of consolation, Namjoon holds up a hand. “There may be a chance we can track down the purchase of the saw. Yes, they’re very common but their prints are much more distinct than that of the ropes.” He hands you the paper which he’d retrieved earlier from his office. “I cross-checked the tool imports and distributions records, and there are sixteen types of saws that are available in Korea,” he explains as you scan the paper. True to his word, it contains a list of manufacturers and addresses, all annotated with product names and identification numbers. “Of the sixteen, twelve are capable of cutting through human bone and muscle mass. If I can match the markings on our victim to a specific type of saw, then I can narrow the focus down to a smaller list of manufacturers. Hardware stores rarely carry all twelve types at once. If anything, I may be able to track down the store where the murder weapon was bought.” Hoseok's lips quirk slightly in a caustic grin. “And if the killer happened to pick it up somewhere off the ground?” “Then at least we’ll be more informed, won’t we?” Namjoon laughs. You mirror his satisfied expression. “Now see, this-” you give the paper a little shake “- this is why we came here. If you can actually get something out of this, Nams, then lunch really will be on me.” “Two lunches,” Namjoon corrects. “Don’t think I’m letting you off the hook for the first one.” He takes the list back from you with his gloved hand, but not before giving the fingers a subtle flex. Most people would politely ignore the gesture or simply fail to notice it, but you immediately recognize the telltale signs of twitching leather and stiff wrist movements. “Are your joints bothering you again?” you ask, nodding at his arm. Namjoon knows the meaning behind your question and smiles ruefully. “Unfortunately, yes. I had a checkup yesterday and my doctor insisted we try yet another new gear adjustment. I keep telling him that the old method works perfectly fine, but does he listen?“ As he speaks he tugs off the offending leather garment, exposing five fingers and a palm that are made entirely of polished steel. Hoseok doesn’t say anything but you can see his eyes flicker towards the silver palm. You can only guess as to what he thinks of Namjoon’s hidden prosthetic hand. Most offer immediate sympathy, undisguised curiosity, but in Hoseok’s case, you have absolutely no clue. The armament specialist had lost it twelve years ago, he’d once confided to you during a night at the bar, back when he and Yoongi had been partners out in the field. It had been during an investigation of a toddler’s death (too young to be taken by death, he’d said, knocking back a shot of gin in her memory), eventually leading to a violent altercation between said detective and near-insane murderer. “Don’t worry about me.” Namjoon bends his fingers experimentally before slipping the glove back on. “The pain is nothing I can’t handle, and anyway, you should be more concerned about yourself. From the way I see it, there are two ways that this case will play out- as one, extremely difficult, or two, extremely dangerous. Or perhaps even both. I’m sure you don’t need me to say it, but do be sure to keep an eye out at all times, Detective.” “Whatever you say, Iron Man,” you hum. Namjoon rolls his eyes good-naturedly. “Just once,” he sighs as a phone begins to ring in his office, “I’d like for us to have a meaningful conversation without you referring to me as some kind of robot.” “Now where would be the fun in that?” You smile faintly when he excuses himself to answer the call. He leaves, and for a second time you’re left alone with Hoseok, the man whom you hardly know anything about and don’t even know where to begin studying. The Four Seasons continues to play from the speakers, permeating the silence with violin music that strangely fills you with a sense of sudden inexplicable weariness. “Four years ago, a married couple was found crucified in their bedroom,” you say after a while. Hoseok folds his arms across his chest, but you can tell he’s listening from the way his head tilts slightly at the sound of your voice. “No trace of the killer was found, and there were no distinctive weapons used, either. Just a hammer and a pile of nails. After five months we’d gone through every lead possible, and by then we were almost ready to give up. But then Namjoon noticed that one of the screws was different from the others- it was a tiny, tiny manufacturing difference that the rest of us would have never noticed, but thanks to him we were able to track down the killer before he left the city.” You look at him and soften your voice. “This may seem like a waste of time to you, and you might not agree with my decisions, but I wouldn’t have brought you here if there wasn’t the slightest chance that he could help.” If the two of you are expected to work together, you decide, then the least you can do is have at least a little bit of faith in each other. Hoseok returns your stare without saying a word, and for a minute you think that he’s going to challenge you again. But then he seems to reach a decision of his own, because he merely shrugs and turns away in time with the crash of turbulent crescendo notes. “It’s your call. Like I said before, I’m only here to do my job.”

Finding the Best Military Knives for Sale Online
A little introduction to military knives is in order before we get into the thin and thick of where to find the best tactical blades used by military personnel. So, a military combat knife is a blade especially designed for law enforcing bodies, and of course the military, to help them out in close combats. This is why it’s made sure that the blade itself and the handle holding it in place are of high quality and not easily destructible, as it will be used at crucial moments like saving a soldier’s own or someone else’s life.
Finding the Best Military Tactical Knives in the Market
In order to buy some top line military knives, you have to make sure you know which are the best blades out there. Let us mention a few of the choices you have amongst the large number of tactical knives available in the market.
You must be thinking, why aren’t we already telling you about the best place to buy pocket knives? Well, the reason behind giving you an insight on the best military blades is that it will educate you to make the right choice for yourself and find the perfect match among all other fixed blade knives.
As you might know, Knife Import has been providing high quality fixed blade and folding knives to its valued customers at wholesale prices. There you will find all the items mentioned within the lines of this blog. Let’s start now! What do you say?
Fixed Blade Military Knives
Ontario MK 3
All US Navy SEALs are issued this blade, which is 6 inches long and made out of stainless steel, as it’s the best option for a compact tactical blade. It doesn’t mean that they can only carry one blade though.
Ballistic Knife
Let us tell you that it’s banned for civilian use and for a very good reason, used by the Russian special forces, the Ballistic military knife has the ability to propel its blade like a bullet. A blade that can become a bullet, that can be scary for any normal person.
Tactical Folding Knives
Karambit Folding Knife
One of the most famous tactical blades in civilian use can be the karambit folding knife, used by the Joint Task Force 2 of Canada, this folding pocket knife gives you the best grip on the handle and its tooth like curved blade can sink into anything or slash anyone with ease.
Mtech USA Ballistic Military Knives
Mtech USA is a well-known manufacturer of great military pocket and fixed blade knives, especially the MT-A845 series often comes up when talking about the best military pocket knives. You can find many of their blades in Camo that gives them awesome look.
Most Military Blades are Illegal for Civilian Use
This should come as no surprise that most blades used by the military forces are illegal for the common man. It is not without reason because when hear about a sharp object that can pierce solid objects like trees and walls then a person is always in danger of getting injured.
We hope you will keep your safety first as well!

Level IIa Body Armor – Sub Par Defense
Level IIa Body Armor
Level IIa body armor has been around for quite a while. In the body armor world, it’s pretty much not considered to be protective enough to be worth your time or money.
What is level IIa body armor? According to the National Institue of Justice (NIJ), level IIa body armor must be tested to stop a 124 gr 9mm Full Metal Jacket round at 1225 ft per second. It must also be tested to stop a .40 Smith and Wesson Full Metal Jacket round weighing 180 gr at a velocity of 1155 ft per second.
If you already have level IIa body armor and want to see what it’ll protect against, please keep reading. If you’re really in the market for some body armor to protect yourself go read our article on level II body armor. It’s what I consider to be the lowest level of body armor you should buy. What Does Level IIa Body Armor Protect Against?
As we stated before, the NIJ requires level IIa armor to stop up to a .40 Smith and Wesson round. This means that it will also stop all pistol rounds that are less powerful.
Level IIa armor is capable of defeating some pistol rounds. These include the 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP & .38 Special.
Higher-velocity rounds can still penetrate level IIa body armor. This includes some of the previously listed rounds when they’re fired from a submachinegun length barrel and all rifle rounds.

Body Armor Level Effective Against These Calibers II-A 9 mm FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) at ~1,090 fps
.40 S&W Full Metal Jacket at 1,025 fps
II 9 mm FMJ, at ~1,175 fps
.357 JSP at ~1,400 fps
III-A 9 mm FMJ at ~1,400 fps
.44 Magnum Semi-Jacketed Hollow Point at ~1,400 fps
What Is Level IIa Body Armor Designed For?
Level IIa body is best used when maximum concealment is needed and protection is an afterthought. It really isn’t as protective as body armor should be and it doesn’t fit into any good niche.
If you expect to encounter pistol fire then you’re better served with level II body armor. Level II body armor will protect you from most common pistol rounds and it’s the minimum level of body armor that we suggest you buy.
If you’re expecting to encounter rifle fire then you’re really going to be outgunned in level IIa body armor!
[wc_box color=“primary” text_align=“left” margin_top=“” margin_bottom=“” class=“”]
AR 500 Armor and Spartan Armor Systems both sell high-quality armor of all types.
[/wc_box]
Does Level IIa Body Armor Protect Against Anything Other than Bullets?
Level IIa body armor isn’t designed to protect against anything other than the bullets listed in the NIJ standard.
Kevlar and other ballistic materials are very good at stopping the fragmentation from things like explosions. As frag passes through the layers of kevlar, it slows it the same way that it would stop a bullet.
This makes soft armor a great addition to armor plates.
Most level IIa armor isn’t rated for slash or stab protection. In stab proof armor, there is normally a layer of chain mail or laminate material in the body armor to stop knife or spike attacks. Level IIa armor usually resists slashing attacks well, but stabbing attacks can pass straight through it.
If you need both ballistic protection and bladed protection, then you should look for body armor that combines the two types of protection and is certified to stop those threats.
How Does Level IIa Body Armor Work?
Level IIa body armor stop bullets by slowing it down and rapidly draining it of energy. Its design of tightly woven synthetic fibers allows it to retain its flexibility and still be remarkably strong.
Even though the fibers are strong, their protective levels can decrease rapidly after being shot. Most manufacturers claim their level IIa body armor is capable of protecting from multiple strikes. You should know that the armor does become compromised to at least some degree after it’s hit with a round.
As level IIa armor is soft, there is also a lot of blunt force that is transferred through to the wearer. This blunt force can be fatal if you get struck in the right spot. This can be prevented by the addition of trauma plates over vital organs.
What Is Level IIa Body Armor Made Of?
Level IIa body armor is made using ballistic materials like Spectra and Kevlar.
If an armor panel is made of Kevlar it will normally be tightly woven in a simple pattern and interlaced with more material as the panel is built. Spectra is normally not woven like Kevlar. Instead, the fibers are laid out parallel to one another and then laminated into sheets.
The bare ballistic material is then put inside an outer shell. These sleeves don’t provide any addition to the protection level of the armor but some are designed to catch any fragments that may come free when the bullet strikes.

How do You Choose What Type of Armor you Should Buy?
The first thing you should do when buying body armor is to decide what type of threat you’re most likely to encounter.
Are you going to be facing pistol fire or rifle fire?
Do you need knife or spike protection?
Is it okay if others know that you’re wearing body armor?
These are all questions you should ask yourself. With society’s sensitivity to anything that looks scary, you should give serious consideration to if you should be out in public wearing body armor. It may not be illegal, but it could freak people out and cause you an unnecessary headache.

However what for those who additionally need a designer label together with your utility? WaterField’s Tech Rolltop hopes you’ll have a look. This is What We Like Large carrying capability Excessive-quality waxed canvas And What We Do not Very heavy Very costly Not very straightforward to arrange That’s what I did when the corporate despatched me the bigger model of the bag. Sadly, its huge storage capability is weighed down, actually, by a heavy construct that doesn’t supply a lot flexibility as a trade-off. There’s no accounting for style, however I can’t say I used to be in love with its low-key seems, both. Mix that with a really excessive price ticket, and it simply doesn’t make a compelling providing as a premium bag. Maintain All the pieces The essence of a roll-top bag is, properly, the truth that the highest rolls up. The concept is that it’s able to holding a startling quantity of stuff when obligatory and changing into extra compact when not. On each factors, the Tech Rolltop is ample. The bag rolls out for an enormous most capability of 15 liters. Michael Crider WaterField makes the magnetic clasp conserving the rolltop safe a major focus of its advertising. And it’s a pleasant mechanism, to make certain: you possibly can slide the clasp out simply with one hand, and getting the 2 factors form of close to one another is sufficient to snap it again into place by way of the sliding magnet design. However the entire thing isn’t that a lot simpler than a typical locking clasp you’d see on many backpacks, so I don’t discover it as compelling as, say, the magnetic snap closure on the Peak Design bags. The strap for securing the roll prime makes use of a novel magnetic sliding clasp. Michael Crider Inside the big important pocket are simply two inside pockets, one zippered and one shallow and lined with super-soft materials for a pill. The remainder of the area is devoted to holding as many unfastened objects because it presumably can. And it’s so much: at its most quantity, the bag holds 15 liters. That must be sufficient for an extended weekend and toiletries, plus a laptop computer within the padded exterior zipper compartment. Group Is Missing Sadly, you’re going to must do loads of organizing your self on that journey. Other than the laptop computer pocket and two water bottle pouches on both aspect, there are solely two extra pockets on the bag. The lower-front pocket makes use of a typical zipper and comes with an inside key fob, and the highest pocket holds itself closed with a magnet, making it splendid for shortly grabbing telephones, passports, or batteries. The front-top pocket closes with a magnetic snap, permitting easy accessibility to vital stuff. Michael Crider However that’s just about it by way of group. If you wish to carry pens, cables, SD playing cards, or different assorted bric-a-brac, you’ll have to both allow them to unfastened in one of many bigger pockets or provide your individual organizer. Ditto for mid-sized objects that want extra safety, like a digital camera or a transportable sport console. There are baggage simply as huge as this one which present extra group and at a cheaper price. Good Supplies That Weigh You Down The Tech Rolltop makes use of a super-heavy 14ounceswaxed canvas. It’s powerful sufficient to repel bumps and bangs from something in need of a knife or automobile accident, and water ought to roll off of it like a duck’s again. It’s additionally fairly rugged-looking within the brown end equipped for our overview unit. For those who’d like one thing that appears somewhat like tenting or army gear, it’ll do. The Tech Rolltop’s materials is a tricky, heavy waxed canvas. Michael Crider Sadly, that heavy canvas materials is, properly, heavy. The bag weighs over three kilos empty (and that’s the bigger model). If it doesn’t sound like a lot, do not forget that it’s explicitly designed to hold an enormous quantity of stuff, no less than a number of the time. As somebody who suffers from again ache, I feel I’d relatively carry round an affordable, light-weight duffel for a weekend highway journey or in a single day flight. A tricky, zippered pocket on the again presents easy accessibility to a laptop computer. Michael Crider The straps and padded again are fairly comfy, and the black model (which makes use of ballistic nylon as an alternative of canvas) may be somewhat lighter. However to place it bluntly, there are many powerful, nice-looking baggage that aren’t this heavy, and received’t weigh you down on lengthy treks or in sticky climate. Mixed with its most carrying capability, one of many bag’s largest attracts is at odds with its materials. Worth Isn’t on the Desk How a lot would you anticipate to pay for the Tech Rolltop? Once I requested locals in my city, on the bar, and on the climbing path, most of them answered seventy or eighty bucks. They responded with disbelief after I advised them it was $250 ($230 for the extra compact model). Whilst somebody who’s no stranger to triple-digit value tags for good baggage, I can’t say I blame them. The bag’s worth is means too low for the options it presents. Michael Crider The Tech Rolltop’s supplies are glorious, and its magnetic closure on the safe strap and entrance quick-access pocket are attention-grabbing. However between the poor group choices, the heavy construct, and the excessive value, it’s simply not an amazing product when every little thing comes collectively. I can’t advocate it. Right here’s What We Like Large carrying capability Excessive-quality waxed canvas And What We Do not Very heavy Very costly Not very straightforward to arrange !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s){if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod?n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments)};if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n;n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version='2.0';n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0;t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)}(window,document,'script','https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js');fbq('init','1137093656460433');fbq('track','PageView'); Source link
