҂ Her Ruination.
Charming, elegant, glamorous— these probably best describe Aitana Sonnet, the Zhao’s and de Ayala’s wonder child. Born on the twelfth of October, year two thousand and one at the Zhao Hall in Singapore, Aitana was then loved and adored by many. At age three, the young girl took an interest in ballet after being in awe with the dancers’ performance which made her decide to learn it right away. Her whole childhood mainly revolved around ballet, honing her mastered skill every now and then. Being an intelligent child, she was also already capable of speaking five languages (English, Mandarin, Spanish, Filipino, Korean), Mandarin being her mother tongue. She had also taken interest in fencing, swimming, equestrian, and golf— taking these newly found hobbies as an opportunity to bond with her siblings more. Aitana always tries her best to excel in everything she does as she wants to make a name for herself later on and also because she was expected to do good in all aspects being in a family of well-known business tycoons. The burden of doing everything to basically fit in her parents’ standards burnt out the kid in her— and the pressure on herself went on until it almost killed her. One day, she just found herself losing interest in every academic book she owned, and doing what she loves the most felt like a chore to her. Aitana had to suck it up for quite some time because she didn’t want to disappoint all of them. Remembering the look on her father’s face when she failed third grade brought horror to the crevices of her mind and she didn’t want to experience that again. However, the family’s lives took a turn when they thought Medea, one of the twins, was dead after she went missing for a month. This hurt young Aitana even more and everything went downhill afterwards. She can be the most nonchalant person in the world but Liberty, Morpheus, and Medea are her best treasures and she couldn’t even imagine a life without them. Seeing her siblings depart for New York City after a few more years of staying at Zhao Hall made Aitana sad as the twins was the life of it and they make things bearable for her but she understood why that needed to happen and promised herself that soon enough she will also depart the cold corners of the said “home.”
Four months before her highschool graduation, Aitana had taken extra hours for ballet lessons as her mother and instructor was preparing her application at the most renowned ballet schools in the world. Luckily though, she got an admission in some of them, but of course, being part of the Zhao de Ayalas, you don’t actually have the freedom to choose for yourself. So her mother, Sistine, had chosen the “right” school for her— the Royal School of Ballet in London and was set to depart after her graduation with her instructor. But Aitana knew that if she continued, she’d be the most miserable person ever and she didn’t want that. She didn’t want any of it. She grew tired of being alone in the cold four corners of their very own dancing studio, perfecting every turn, wearing those damn shoes, hearing them scold her for tripping and for “lazing” around— she hated all of it. It was too much in the crevices of her mind but without it she will be nothing. She’s not Aitana Sonnet Zhao de Ayala if she won’t be the ballerina everyone wishes her to be and she damn hated it. For the first time, she found herself talking back to their mother. She had never seen any emotions on her pretty face even after Medea went missing and seeing her being shocked after she told them that she will not pursue ballet anymore, hurt the young maiden in a way but she didn’t back down with her words. She just knew she had to. She can’t keep being wrapped around their fingers anymore, it had to be stopped.
At present, Aitana is living with her siblings at Forbes Park in Makati City, Philippines. Getting to experience the long overdue freedom, Aitana was able to appreciate more of herself and the things she was capable of doing. However, she, who was already shaped into becoming someone who’ll continue the Zhao de Ayala legacy with her siblings, found it so hard to start again. It seemed like everything was new to her. The maiden kept getting distracted— trying this and that but she was never satisfied. Oh, when will she ever be satisfied? The relationship with her parents greatly affected where she is right now and she knew she will never get to bring back the old Aitana Sonnet who was so always willing to try out everything. She was lost . . so lost that she can’t even do anything to patch things up.

Why I Need To Reside In Singapore
Many people dream of living overseas but can usually be scared to make such an enormous change to our routine life and depart our house nations behind. There are different guidelines that will shock the outsider. It's tough to buy public-adminstered housing in Singapore except you are married or over 35, which presents an additional barrier on high of the excessive price of dwellings in the city. Automotive possession can be banned, unless you purchase one of a set number of costly permits first. Novena is about up properly for its expat group. There are several international colleges to select from, reminiscent of the Stamford American Worldwide Faculty. The Youngsters Studying Mall in Union Square is the right spot for fogeys and kids to spend the day. There are music, language, artwork, ballet, drama, and speech lessons, plus kids's trend stores, as well as restaurants and bakeries.
Book Your appointment
Leedon Green showflat is located right in entrance of the particular website. For buyers who're taking public transport, you may alight at Farrer Road MRT Station (CC20) along the Circle line. Our showflat is approximately 7 minutes’ walk from the train station. Singapore is given excessive reward for the family life-style it delivers. Not only is it listed in seventh place in a global survey of expats relating to the supply of childcare and schooling but for training specifically it ranks second on the earth after Finland. The schooling system is great and your youngsters will be exposed to so many different cultures due to the make-up of the nation's inhabitants.

What To Look for In a Dance Studio in Singapore?
Singapore's central, western, and eastern sections all have a slew of excellent dance studios. There are a lot of dance studio Singapore in the city's Central Area, which is easily accessible from all across the city. Dancing, according to many, is a healthy method to shed pounds without feeling self-conscious about it. While we can't speak for gym-goers, dancing is an excellent way to stay in shape. Additionally, dancing helps you strengthen your core and improve your sense of balance. Your brain muscle memory and stress levels will both enhance and decrease due to the routines you learn in your dance classes near me.
The Dance Studio Rental Guide:
Many beautiful venues to dance are available in Singapore whether or not you're interested in doing so. Rehearsals, classes, choreography for a first dance, shows, and contests are all common uses for dance studio Singapore. Also, standards are rehearsals. Large and small dance studios are available for individual and group dance rehearsals. It would help if you keep these factors in mind when you rent a dance studio Singapore.
How many individuals are expected to attend? A tiny studio can be rented for a private class with a small number of students. You'll need to select an area where people can stand and move about quickly if many people are waiting in line. The size of the site you require for a dance or exercise class will be primarily determined by the type of class you are taking.
To conduct your practice work, what will you need? All you need is an open area and a sound system for a dance lesson. However, there are numerous additional ways to improve your class. Large wall mirrors, for example, will allow you to observe your moves from a different perspective that you wouldn't have been able otherwise, making them ideal for most sorts of dance and exercise training. A barre is essential for ballet dancers because it prevents them from falling over during complex movements.
If so, what's your budget for this purchase? You'll need to keep an eye on the number of students in each class when you get started. If your property is already occupied to capacity with students, you may want to consider adding more hours per week to accommodate everyone. If you plan to use the studio for an extended period, you can inquire about alternative renting options with the venue manager.
Conclusion:
Make sure you pick the right neighborhood for your dance or fitness class. If you're not already a well-known or experienced teacher, it's not good to run your courses simultaneously and location as other renowned dance schools or gyms. A rental in an easily accessible area might make it easier for your pupils to travel to school when you know where they must go. Searching for studios near you is another option for finding studios for rent in your neighborhood.

Art Deco Movement in Design
“The Art Deco movement, architecture from that period and sort of the industrial aesthetic from that period. Art Deco meets tribal kind of thing. All that is my primal inspiration”
Pamela Love (American Jewellery Designer)
Art Deco (1905CE–1930CE) is one of the most exemplary styles of the twentieth century, a hallmark of the era's glamour and refinement. It was a dramatic departure from the Victorian era's austerity and rich embellishment, and it has stayed as current as it was when it was first introduced. Art Deco is characterised by appreciation for mechanical modernity and inherent design attributes of machine-made items, such as relative simplicity, symmetry, planarity, and unvarying repetition of parts.
Simple, clean shapes, usually with a "streamlined" appearance; geometric or stylized ornament from representational forms such as florals, animals, and sunrays; and the use of man-made materials such as plastics, vita-glass, and reinforced concrete, often coupled with natural materials such as jade, ivory, silver, and chrome. It has a predisposition toward geometric lines (especially rectilinear ones), monochrome palettes, and the incorporation of Industrial Revolution elements, giving it a perennially modern aesthetic.
Sunburst and stepped motifs, as well as connections to African, Russian, and Egyptian cultures, are typical signs. Rare maccassar, burl walnut, and zebrano were used widely in Art Deco interiors and were virtually always polished or lacquered. Marble, as well as aluminium and chrome, which were employed for the first time in a decorative form as grill-like accents and trimmings, were prominent features.
Two-dimensional bronze murals and vehicle influences are other allusions, particularly in the Streamline Moderne branch of the style. Art Nouveau, the Bauhaus, Cubism, and Serge Diaghilev's Ballets Russes were all major influences on Art Deco. Art Deco designers were also influenced by American Indian, Egyptian, and early Classical influences, as well as nature.
Art Deco architecture and interior design have regained appeal in recent years, with the style being incorporated into many new buildings and recreated for current interior designs.
Parkview Square in Singapore's downtown district, for example, demonstrates that the Art Deco influence can still be found in some parts of the world today. The building's design is typical Art Deco in style, influenced by the Chanin Building, and the lobby is replete with handcrafted Art Deco elements and decorations. Despite the upheaval and instability of the period between two wars, Art Deco lasted three decades and flourished until the spirit died out completely in 1939 at the New York World's Fair.
Many classic and notable examples have persisted to this day, and today's designers are adapting or replicating the style's aspects and traits in modern designs. The style's principles of combining mass production and the artist, utility and adornment, commercial profits and emotional fulfillments had transferred vital examples and lessons in the history of art and design to future generations, resulting in the new birth of modern designs.
Art Deco was ornamental, employing great craftsmanship in a classic style, but it was also cutting-edge in terms of technology and innovations. During its heyday, Art Deco was extremely popular, and the style is still prominent in today's society.
Furthermore, it is evident that it continues to influence many designers today.

How to choose the best dance course
The dance styles are many and they are very different from each other. Which one to choose? In general, dance schools give the opportunity to take one or more trial lessons to try the dance and get closer to the philosophy of each. Besides knowing that dancing is good for your body and mind , there are many reasons to decide to learn to dance : because you like music and when you hear it you can't sit still, because you want to move but the gym doesn't appeal to you or because you want to. know how to dance in the disco.
Ballet schools in Singapore
How to learn to dance the tango One of the most elegant and most popular dances in recent years is the Argentine tango. It requires good technique and a lot of exercise: the man must be able to give commands to his lady with the movement of the body, hands and arms, while the woman must interpret the commands and follow. Even if the tango is basically a dance of improvisation, there are some basic steps : the salida and the walk are the first to learn. It is a very romantic and passionate dance. For this reason it is suitable for couples. Without a doubt, a good tango school will allow you to not only learn the steps and start learning about the music, but will also introduce you to a real philosophy of life.
How to dance ballroom dancing The ballroom dance, or famous ballroom dance , includes a series of dance styles (such as waltz, polka, mazurka, etc. etc.) which have as a common characteristic that of "crawling the feet". In fact, it seems that the name of this kind of dance derives from this setting.
To learn the various styles of smooth it is important to observe the following points:
Rider Grip : The rider remains upright with feet together. The hug to the lady is not a real hug, but rather a bandage at the waist. The shoulders must remain free. The left arm is slightly sloping towards the elbow while the left arm must be fully curved. The head remains upright and looks over the right shoulder of the lady. Grip of the lady : the grip of the lady depends on the knight, but must still observe some rules. The lady must never lift her shoulders, she must not position herself perfectly in front of the rider but must be moved to the right, she must keep the right arm raised with the fingers together, letting the man grab them between thumb and forefinger, she must hold the elbow right slightly lower than the shoulder, he must place his left hand on the arm of the weightless man. Rhythm : depending on how the rhythm varies, the type of style can change. Each beat corresponds to a step. Mazurka has a ¾ rhythm. The classic waltz also has a ¾ rhythm, but unlike the mazurka it is performed faster and instead of the stop there is a change of direction. How to learn to dance Latin There are many Latin dances and are divided into Latin American dances proper and Caribbean dances . In recent years, many people have become passionate about this kind of dance: what unites them all is the sensuality of the music and movements.
The steps of the Latin dances are very fast and have a syncopated rhythm . However, they are dances that are also based on improvisation, so it is very important to enhance a personal style without getting too stuck in the steps. Without a doubt, exercise and practice are the best way to learn and improve your style. With this type of dance you can throw yourself into the fray even in a group of friends and experiment to understand how to dance in a disco.
Among the Caribbean dances, salsa is one of the most beautiful to see and practice. It has a very fast pace and requires good technique. To learn salsa, it is not always enough to take courses. The difference is the practice.

Read some personal essays from students in smu. Few stories stood out, most were boring. I think the assignment question was what’s the meaning in life. They were task to write about anything they want.
One kept rambling on about finding meaning in life, bragging about his achievements, how much he learn in smu. BORING! superficial things.
Most had supportive parents, a good childhood, supportive family who cares. Privilege background? One even had a former teacher tutoring him at a flat rate.
I am mad when knowing people aren’t appreciative of extracurricular classes that their parents were willing to pay such lessons. She threw tantrums and wanted to quit ballet. What a struggle indeed.
The one essay that stood out was a guy who wrote his mother’s perspective in his reflection. How his mum worried about him, remained over protective. But his mum cares a big deal for him. He also wrote an essay about suicide, his teacher felt disturbed by his writings and had a chat with him. This is what he wrote - “Should suicide be condoned?”. She shared that my views about how suicide is a natural mechanism to weed out the weaker members of society, as likened to natural selection in the animal kingdom, was one that was extremely disturbing.”
Some of his perspective from his mom
- Something is wrong. He doesn’t talk to me anymore, he doesn’t smile, he doesn’t share anything about his life.
- What is going on? Is it just a phase? I hope it’s just a phase. I want to help him, but I’m sure we will get into another fight. Maybe I should just leave him alone.
- I wish I knew what was going on. I wish I knew how to help
How nice! Every morning of his exams, his mum makes breakfast feast for him.
- today is such an important day. I hope he is well prepared for the paper. If I could study in his place and take the paper. I would.
-But the reality is that I can’t so all I can do is prepare a good breakfast so that he has the energy for the exam later. I pray that god blesses him with the wisdom to do well
Anyway, he struggled with exams. Appealed to J.C. struggles in JC, finally got into SMU.
Couldn’t relate to the others that rambles on about seeking out religious faith / death of grandparents / relationships / obsession of gore (?) / gratitude for opportunities to lead projects. What’s your meaning in life?
I Guess reading these essays, analysing their writing style, their weary complaints about life, knowing their priorities back then as a teen. social inequalities were displayed. There’s really a lack of understanding. Many are oblivious to social issues that are ongoing... because they are privileged kids that have not been through difficulties. Bad things never happened to them, they have supportive parents who worked things out with them. They lead comfortable lives. They have the easy way out.
Once, my friend acted in a play. Can’t remember the details. But the play was about olden times. Kampung stories. It switches back and forth from past to present. At present, each actors took turn to describe modern day problems that they currently r faced with. I think one brought up about how the inflation of prices in housing and living standards in Singapore were increasing. How they struggled with paying off student loans, finding a job, supporting themselves. My friend spoke about how she was uncertain whether she could find a proper job after graduating and also I think family issues, medical bills to worry about. Some pointed out that our quality of life has been affected. For example, elderly working as Cleaners despite their weak and frail body and that might be our future in the future if we don’t do anything about it.
My friend that I went with. He said he couldn’t understand why should they be whining about such things when they are abled people??? We had conflicting views in regards to this. Yes he had a point that we are abled people. But not everyone has the same start. For example, I can work, earn money and work hard for myself. But what if along the way, life decides to throw challenges at me? Stricken with cancer, have elderly parents to look after, divorced. Or my life has already been tragic since the beginning. Parents alcoholic, bankruptcies, business downfall, loan sharks, in debt, medical bills, financial instability. We don’t get to choose the life we want. We are dealt out by random selection. I tried explaining but the words didn’t come out right. I stopped explaining. From my point of view, this is something known as common sense / perspective point of view / placing yourself in people’s shoes. But because he has a privileged background. He couldn’t see beyond the struggles that everyone has, but he expected people to be hardworking, to succeed just like anyone else. Anyone can succeed if we had a well-to-do life like yours. When you’re sitting at the top so comfortably, you don’t even realize the issues that are ongoing down below.
