I'm kinda curious, in your BaliGHTS AU what is the relationship between Wonderworld and the Night Dimension?

That's a great question, and one I have yet to fully settle on!

How I see it; the Night Dimension and Wonderworld are aware of each other, but don't necessarily know what goes on in either space. Wizeman knows of Maestros (and sees them as a powerful threat), and Balan knows enough about Nightmaren to be wary of them -or at least, the tales of them essentially being a kind of sleep paralysis demon. Their respective dimensions don't intersect however, so theres less likely a chance that individuals will accidentally find their way into the opposing universe. It can happen, but it takes powerful magic to do so.

Both dimensions share a connective universe however, which is where humans exist!

In the end, both the Night Dimension and Wonderworld become far more open to each other, and actively work together to break down those boundaries between their dimensions -especially after the fall of Wizeman. Balan begins to offer a lot of therapy avenues to Nightmaren who need it. And boy howdy, do some need it.

So who's the Officiant to marry Balan and NiGHTS?... Would it be Owl?

I'D NEVER CONSIDERED OWL... Oh that's so sweet though. I know Owl is portrayed as a bit of a dithering old man, but I've always seen it that Owl is SO important to NiGHTS in so many ways. NiGHTS may be a little brat at times, and give Owl the run-around, but at the end of the day, Owl is basically the only true parent NiGHTS has ever known.

Owl was the one who found NiGHTS when they first defected, and had escaped Nightmare battered, bruised, broken, and silent. Where anyone else would have run at the sight of Nightmare's finest, Owl could see past that in the moment, and could see the scared child they were underneath it all. Owl probably thought himself nuts to open his home to not just a Nightmaren but the biggest and baddest one around, but he still did. He still gave NiGHTS that chance when nobody else would have even considered it.

Owl was the one to teach NiGHTS about the world beyond their persona, taught them how to trust again and see Nightopia and the Waking World for what it truly was, a land full of souls just like their own. He worked hard to help NiGHTS break those past beliefs that Wizeman instilled in them, he showed them how good it was to be free! And its something NiGHTS will always honour deep down.

So the idea of NiGHTS going to Owl and asking him to officiate, my god, I think it would have the old bird sobbing ugly tears (NiGHTS too, even if they were trying to play it off cool)
