#balance rgb islands

These are the last things I have for the Cyberpunk au. It has been a lot of fun and I hope I pick it up again sometime in the future, but until then this is it, hope you liked it ^^
Some details about Wu and Cole:
One day the rgb decide to go beyond the danger zone and more into the Outside and they discover another city that, unlike the Cyberpunk city, is not corrupted or contaminated.
This city is located in an artificial island near the shore to protect themselves from the plants, that can't cross water. It has a Solarpunk aesthetic and the people there are in balance with nature and have a civilazed and ordered society where there is no discrimination towards demons.
However, the solarpunk city values social class and money above all so the rgb, having no money, are still discriminated.
The siblings pay no mind to discrimination and wander around exploring the city until the encounter a random old man who seems to recognize Lloyd, Wu.
Wu is one of the leaders of the city and is very respected. When he found Lloyd he tried to convince him to live with him and Misako (who also lives in the city) instead of his father, Lloyd is of course very confused but refuses, to Wu’s dismay.
The rgb learn from the conversation that Lloyd is the son of the legendary Garmadon and the nephew of this guy Wu, but they don't really care, Kai and Nya are Lloyd's family and that’s it.
However Wu is persistent with Lloyd so the rgb decide to be the usual troublemakers and cause chaos in the city here and there, achieving their objective of annoying Wu. Of course law enforcements try to catch them but with little success, afterall the siblings are used to running away (they even avoided their attempts of not letting them in)
Now they sometimes visit the solarpunk city to explore and cause troubles, making them infamous there.
There is someone else living in the city that heard of the rgb siblings, Cole. Cole is a wealthy happy kid but is very curious of how the siblings can seem to do anything they want. However Cole never approached them... until his mom died. The situation with his family took a turn for the worse, mostly his relationship with his father, so Cole decided to run away.
He waited until the rgb siblings (who aren't kids anymore) went to the city and followed them outside when they left.
Cole followed them the whole journey to the Cyberpunk city (the rbg of course noticed him but did nothing besides taking a safer route) but lost them once in the city.
Cole was amazed by the new enviroment but soon got lost. He started asking for the siblings until he found Kai in the red district. Kai recognized him so he decided to "play" with his naive nature a bit, which ended up in Kai fooling Cole to pay for him and Cole learning nothing from Kai.
After wandering around for a while, Cole found Jay and quickly became friends. Jay helped him move around and get used to the city.
In the end Cole meets the rgb and their friends through Jay, they all become friends after a while and Cole starts a new life in a tough place but with people to rely on.
(Sorry if it's confusing I did this quickly and english is not my first language)

Let's start with an origin story for our must dungeony of creatures: dragons!
I'm planning on running this in D&D 5e, and since this i've never DMed before, I'm gonna be taking a fair chunk of inspiration from the forgotten realms.
There are 10 kinds of dragon in modern day Madritor: 5 metallic, 5 chromatic. I kinda like the idea of really really ancient dragons (we're talking 100,000 years kinda age) that don't actually look like modern dragons. Evolution bay bee. So maybe there were originally more/different kinds?
A motif I wanna use in this setting as that the gods don't actually create anything new, but rather influence already existing things. So in this world there is a bit of an inverse of the something-th law of thermodynamics: things tend towards order over time. Not everything in all cases, cos nature is chaotic (including sapient races), so like there is still evolution, but like there's a balance between these forces.
That being said, the current colours of dragons is pretty organised to me - you got RGB and black and white dragons, as well as bronze silver and gold. What if maybe these creatures were originally more naturally distinguished, and as they grew more sapient and some started worshipping gods, those gods started shaping the dragons back. So in ancient times, there would be your average fantasy breeds like Norwegian Ridgebacks etc. but as the gods intervened, they became red dragons.
With the RGB dragons, my immediate thought is of an inverse set of dragons: cyan, magenta and yellow. Yellow dragons also opens the door for a more traditional storm dragon, since blue dragons reside in the desert and bronze dragons come from the sea. I'm a sucker for floating islands, and this might be a way of tying in the metallic/chromatic divide: the very first intervention of gods onto dragons is to organise them into Black, White, Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue and Magenta. Later, Yellow dragons will become Gold and a subsect of White will be cut off into Silver. Red dragons will divide with one becoming Brass and oops I think at this point it might be easier to draw a diagram.
I think the dragons, after being organised into those 8 colours, are divided into metallic and chromatic by Tiamat and Bahamut's battles. That being said, I don't want either god to have a very strong influence over the modern world.

thanks for answering!! i hope you don't mind if i send more charas...how about green and/or lillie?
fhgjkfdg aw yea thank u!! hopefully this doesn’t publish before i’m done typing lol
also this definitely needs a readmore bc i got emotional abt Green oops
Green
favorite thing about them
first of all: the fact that Green canonically has a rivals to best friends arc with Red fills me with so much joy and YES they are on their alolan honeymoon you cannot convince me otherwise
okay like. gen 1 Green just perfectly encompasses what it’s like to be a ten year old in a way? like ofc he’s written like a kid bc he is a kid, but i feel like the writing on him just feels so genuine as compared to some of the other 10 yr old rivals you get in other regions. even though he’s kinda a brat at the start, he kinda eases up a bit as you go along your journey and starts giving you progressively nicer/more praise-y end lines when you beat him (going from “i picked the wrong pokémon!” to “so, you are ready for boss rocket!”) but still retains this childlike rivalry and competitiveness and i love that about him
and like. fucking beating him at the Indigo League still completely breaks my heart because even after he did become the champion at age 10 the first thing that happens is you beat him and Prof Oak just yells at him for being bad at things and like. ow.
this is why i headcanon that Red actually took awhile longer to get to Green like please. please give my boy a chance to be happy and proud
also Red was caught up with Team Rocket anyway so i imagine he must’ve fallen a little behind at some point? anyway
the development on him across regions is so choice!!! he’s so much more mellow and even kinda melancholic when you find him in gsc/hgss, like he’s calmed down over a few years and he obviously misses Red so much but like, it’s clear that Red is kinda the reason Green does settle down and he seems to have worked on his character and become a nicer person - and he still has that sassy flair to him! he’s just got that gradual slope from asshole rival to kinda aloof gym leader to friendly/sassy battle legend and aaaaa i love my boy so MUCH
also huge point: he’s so fucking driven??? he’s got the most drive and the most passion for battles/pokémon in general out of all the rivals i feel. he’s only closely matched by Silver, but Silver seems to be more aggressive than passionate, and somewhat out of necessity too (like, Giovanni abandoned him what was he to do), whereas Green just really like. he genuinely just cares so much about battles and about pokémon in general! he literally calls you in hgss and just rants about how many different kinds of pokémon there are in the world!!!
also in Alola he’s like???? just so sweet?????? he congratulates you and is like hey you’re really strong lets battle like!!!!!!!!! supportive boy!!!!! he has come so far over so many generations and i cry
also on Four Island when you play frlg he legitimately says “Be smelling ya!” when he leaves and how do you not love this idiot
least favorite thing about them
i mean. while i get that you beat Green right after he becomes the champion in the kanto games i feel like there should’ve been more pomp and circumstance for him and i’ll never forgive gamefreak for giving this boy his dream, then making you rip it away from him, and then watching his own gramps yell at him for fucking up like. again it’s that drive, i get why Red keeps such good pace w Green but i just feel like he worked so hard and he deserved so much better than that
also while i’m very biased towards him bc Big Emotions, i feel like if i knew this boy irl who was constantly i’m so great and you’re a loser i would probably punch him eventually lmao. in theory it’s kinda endearing but as a real person that’d be grating
favorite line
on one hand, “smell ya later” is so fucking iconic, but on the other -
“I’m Blue. Man, this guy called Red brought me down in a heartbeat. I haven’t seen him in a long time…I wonder where he is and what he’s up to… Come to think of it, you look a little bit like Red. Yeah, you do. Just…Just a little bit. Whatever…”
my namelessshipping heart
ALSO NOT CANON BUT GREEN RANTING TO YOU ABOUT RED AND GETTING SO DISTRACTED THAT HE FORGETS TO GIVE YOU THE POKÉDEX????? BIG GAY
brOTP
for long elaborate headcanon reasons, i see him as being a good brotp with Kris - i headcanon her as also being really driven the way Green is, but more quiet about it, she’s kinda a good balance to him and they probably do pokemon research together. i also feel like she kept him sane while Red was still missing/before they found him on a fuckin mountain
OTP
do i really need to tell you that i’m 100% namelessshipping
like they perfectly balance each other. Green has all this energy and all this spunk and Red is just like… so opposite of him y'know? he’s quiet and he’s more measured in his behavior i feel, he doesn’t really rush into things as much, and yet they both really just took Kanto by storm when they were kids, and i like how they have this foil dynamic and are both still so successful? they’re so different and they complement each other in that way, and they both find success in their own ways
like one of the reasons i hate that Green’s championship gets undersold so much is that he did beat you to the punch, and he has been one step ahead of you, and there’s so much passion there and it’s so loud - and yet you as Red are just as driven, you take down Team Rocket, you’re always right on his tail, so close but not quite there, you’re the only one who can keep up with him and you’re the only one he cares enough about to slow down for
so like. idk with even all my headcanons about namelessshipping aside (and i can infodump those another day lol), i feel like the in-game representation of them just works. they just work so well together, they balance each other without ever holding each other back, and there’s something really beautiful about that in a relationship y'know
…..i feel bad abt not putting as much infodump about isshushipping now but oh well
nOTP
i don’t really have a notp with him? i kinda like. i basically just do namelessshipping, but i don’t get a visceral eugh when i see other ships with him, just kinda a well it’s not nameless so i’ll be on my way. idek what other ships w him are popular?? i’ve been in nameless hell since 2012 so
random headcanon
while Red is still living on Mount Silver, Green is not coping well with having him so far away, and so Green massively overworks himself to the point that he keeps just not being in his gym sometimes bc he’s bouncing between the gym, training multiple teams, pokémon research, and ofc going to visit Red whenever he can. this leads him to be kinda temperamental after he’s been working on 2 hours of sleep a day for like a week until he just has an emotional meltdown and crashes, and then he gets right back into it because he has no self preservation
…….. nicer headcanon; Red can only cook two (2) foods, so Green cooks all the food for them when they move in together. he has attempted to teach Red how to cook, but Red pretends not to understand so Green will keep making him food. Green knows Red is faking it and doesn’t call him out bc he thinks it’s cute
unpopular opinion
look i’ve played through classic red version a few times and when i say he wasn’t that much of a jerk, i do genuinely mean he was not that much of a jerk. he’s like ten. ten year olds are just Like That. i guess this isn’t too unpopular anymore but it was Back In The Day and in some parts of the fandom he’s still seen as a jerk and like Bro He Is Ten In RGB/FRLG cut him some slack
also genuinely unpopular - Green is taller than Red. i know namelessshipping has fallen into the bara Red and twink Green trope but i refuse to let go of tall Green/short Red fuckin fight me why dont you
song i associate with them
a lot of the Pray For The Wicked album by Panic! at the Disco gives me Green vibes, more for the sound than for lyrics necessarily, but for some reason Roaring 20s just like. has the sound of Green to me. it’s somewhere between flamboyant pride and underlying insecurity that i think really encapsulates Green (or at least his subtext)
favorite picture of them
i genuinely love his let’s go concept art he’s such a sweet good boy??
and for the life of me i cannot find the op source on this but this is my fave pic of Green/namelessshipping in general that i’ve had saved since like 2012 maybe???
yeah if anyone can help me source that i’d appreciate it bc reverse image search only brings me to pinterest and random wattpad links :/
update: source seems to be the artist くる (pixiv id=982894) on pixiv, even though the original post got taken down (ty anon!)
Lillie
favorite thing about them
by now i guess you know im a sucker for character development, but i think they did a really good job with her!! i feel like her turn is a bit more in moments than it is with Green, who gradually evolves (lol) over the course of Kanto/all the gens overall. you see more discrete moments where Lillie starts to shift and gain confidence in herself and i am so proud of her ???? like the way she gets excited when she sees Olivia doin’ her z-move stuff, she starts buying her own clothes and getting ahead of you, etc etc
and like, she still has moments where she’s scared, there’s still some fundamental Lillie in there yknow? you don’t lose any of that softness that characterizes Lillie, she just like… she gets better, she develops without losing her Lillie vibe and i love that abt her. she overcomes a lot of the shit she had to deal with when she was stuck with Lusamine, she stands up to Lusamine eventually, and ghfdkjsg gah she’s a sweet gorl i love and appreciate her
also like. the writing on her backstory is so subtle in-universe. like yeah she literally looks like Lusamine’s daughter and you see her in the opening cutscene leaving Aether, but as the protagonist - like as Selene lets say, there’s little hints about where Lillie came from, and if you suspend your disbelief and put yourself in the pc’s shoes, there’s subtly to her character arc that i like
also like. when she changes her outfit and starts being more protagonist-y, like more confident and kinda bubbly instead of shy??? love that shit it’s so cute can i have custody of this child pls
least favorite thing about them
i like. sometimes feel like she’s too soft of a character for me to really get into? like i love her and Hau, they’re sweet good friends, but i tend to personally gravitate towards characters that create a little more tension (ie Green and N)
(though on that note, Hau can be kinda savage. he just calls Faba out and sarcastically calls Gladion “a ray of sunshine” at some point i think?? Lillie is just very tender and i will support her forever, but i think that also makes her almost too soft to keep me fixated on her yknow. it’s not even a flaw in her character but just not something i fawn over as much)
favorite line
“I’m so glad I got to meet everyone. I’m so glad I got to meet you.”
like that ending kills me but that line almost feels like. I Feel That So Much like i feel so happy to have met all these new characters and to have played these games, and i feel like some of the player’s energy and enjoyment of the game is channeled into this last line of hers
also GET IN THE BAG
brOTP
probably her and Hau?? idk, i don’t have a specific brotp for her but i like her just hangin around w the other Alola kids, so like her, Hau, Gladion, and the protag kids. they’d raise hell together and Lillie continues to be the only one with some impulse control
(Gladion also has some impulse control but keeps getting annoyed by Hau and so he gets dragged into their nonsense anyway)
OTP
Selene and Lillie is. Good. idk what the ship name is but it’s canon
nOTP
i dont even know if people ship her with Gladion but incest is a big no-no in my house
random headcanon
when she goes to Kanto, i bet she’d pick Bulbasaur as a starter if she was given the opportunity - and if not, she’d probably catch a wild Vulpix
unpopular opinion
idk if have any unpopular opinions for her??
song i associate with them
i have no reason to associate this with her but the Rainy Day theme from acgc just. has a vibe about it. i think a lot of ac music feels like it suits her
favorite picture of them
i found this art of her through a lofi remix of her theme awhile back and it’s so pleasing to look at? her hair is nice and the colors are so warm n happy gjhkfdgf
if you read this far, congratulations!!! and i’m sorry
#thank u for asking again and i'm sorry this took so long and *is* so long lol#sterling content#Anonymous

MSI Alpha 15 Review
MSI's Alpha 15 made waves at its debut a year ago for using all AMD hardware, the only gaming laptop to do so at the time. Other vendors have joined the ranks since then, but MSI prepared well by refreshing the Alpha 15 ($1,199 as tested) at the end of 2020 with a more powerful "Renoir" Ryzen 7 processor and a beefier 6GB Radeon RX 5600M graphics card. The new notebook churned out great 1080p gaming performance in our testing while keeping the high-end features of the original, such as its per-key RGB backlit keyboard. Our top choices among upper-entry-level gaming rigs remain the HP Omen 15 and the Acer Predator Helios 300, but the Alpha 15 is a creditable alternative, especially if you can catch it on sale.
Touched Up by 'Renoir'
The new Alpha's eight-core Ryzen 7 4800H CPU (2.9GHz base, up to 4.2GHz boost) gives it a leg up on similarly priced Intel gaming notebooks powered by the six-core Core i7-10750H. The Helios 300 is one example, going for $1,174 on Amazon with a 6GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti as I typed this review.
That said, the Alpha 15 must also contend with AMD-powered notebooks; HP offers a comparably equipped Omen 15 (model 15-en0029nr) for $1,249 while the Dell G5 15 SE goes for $1,205. These minimal price differences highlight the fierce competitiveness of this segment.
The MSI looks much the same as before on the outside. Its dark silver palm rest contrasts nicely with the black of the rest of the laptop, though I'm still lukewarm about the green logo on the back of the lid. At least it's not backlit.
The lid backing is the only metal on this laptop. Considering the Alpha 15 is now $100 or $200 more expensive than last year's model, it could stand more of it to feel as sturdy as the Acer and HP laptops. That said, all its surfaces do a good job of resisting flex.
The system is slightly oversize and overweight for a 15.6-inch gamer. Its 1.1-inch thickness is 0.2 inch more than the Omen 15, and it's heavier at 5.3 pounds versus 4.6 pounds. Trim side display bezels translate to a reasonable 14.1-inch width, though a thick bottom bezel extends its depth to 9.8 inches, 0.4 inch more than the HP.
The full HD (1,920-by-1,080-pixel) screen leaves little room for complaint. It not only offers IPS technology for wide viewing angles, an anti-glare coating, and a 144Hz refresh rate, but AMD FreeSync Premium technology to smooth out frame rates. Laptops with Nvidia G-Sync are far more expensive.
The screen has average brightness but an overall enjoyable picture with its rated 72% coverage of the NTSC gamut (about 100% of sRGB).
The Keyboard: Per-Key RGB Backlighting
Its SteelSeries-designed keyboard is one of the Alpha 15's high-end touches. It integrates with the SteelSeries Engine app for its per-key RGB backlighting and reprogrammable keys, features usually reserved for more expensive gaming notebooks. (The Omen 15 and Predator Helios 300 offer neither.)
The island-style keys have satisfyingly soft key presses and a font that says "gamer." Layout-wise, the keyboard is partially nonstandard since the arrow keys are forced into the main keyboard area, downsizing the right Shift and number pad 0 keys. (The Lenovo Legion 5i avoids this traffic jam by properly divorcing its arrow keys below the keyboard.) The Windows key is also located to the right instead of left of the space bar, though the MSI Dragon Center app lets you swap it with the Fn key if you wish. A maximum-cooling-fan button, a key to launch Dragon Center, and the power button sit above the number pad.
Meanwhile, the traditional two-button touchpad offers a smooth surface and ample space, though its physical clicks are loud.
The Alpha 15's generous port selection includes four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (three Type-A and one Type-C), Ethernet, full-size HDMI and mini DisplayPort video outputs, separate headphone and microphone jacks, and a full-size SD card reader.
The ports are divided between the left and right sides, though some are positioned right up against the front edge (near the user) so plugged-in peripherals can protrude into external mouse or elbow-resting territory. Fortunately, the included power adapter has a right-angle connector to keep a low profile.
The Alpha 15 uses an Intel AX200 wireless card for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 connectivity, an upgrade over the original Alpha's previous-generation wireless standards. However, like most gaming notebooks, it still lacks a fingerprint reader and face-recognition webcam to support Windows Hello biometrics. The 720p webcam also delivers merely average quality, like most laptops' in this price range. The stereo speakers located beneath the palm rest are equally unremarkable with their bass-shy sound.
Team Red on the Bench: Testing the Alpha 15
The Alpha 15 model A4DEK-004US that I'm testing packs an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 4800H processor, a 6GB AMD Radeon RX 5600M graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB NVMe solid-state drive for its Windows 10 Home operating system. MSI backs it with a one-year warranty. The system was hard to find for sale as I typed this, though the close-cousin A4DEK-005US model (which doubles the SSD storage to 1TB) was available for $1,199 on Newegg with a $100 mail-in rebate that brought it to just $1,099. That's commendable hardware for the money.
For our performance benchmarks, I compared the Alpha 15 to the gaming notebooks listed below...
The HP Omen 15 teams its Ryzen chip with a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti to make an ideal comparison with (and foil for) the Alpha 15's Radeon RX 5600M. The Acer Predator Helios 300 will show what a more expensive GeForce RTX 2070 (Max-Q) can do, while MSI's Bravo 15, another all-AMD model from earlier this year, uses an entry-level Radeon RX 5500M to save money. (It was $999 as tested.) Let's go.
Storage, Media, and CPU Tests
Our first test, UL's PCMark 10, assesses general system performance across different real-world productivity and content-creation workflows. The Alpha 15's score of 5,950 points is outstanding, far above the 4,000 points we like to see from high-performance PCs. The system's showing in PCMark 8's storage subtest is also competitive. (That said, most modern SSDs ace this test.)
Next up is a pair of CPU-crunching tests: Cinebench R15 stresses all available processor cores and threads while rendering a complex image, while in our Handbrake test, we transcode a 12-minute 4K video down to 1080p.
The Alpha 15 kept pace with the Omen 15 and Bravo 15, since all three use AMD's Ryzen 7 4800H CPU. The Intel-based Acer and Lenovo trailed.
The final test in this section is photo editing. We use an early 2018 release of Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud to apply 10 complex filters and effects to a standard JPEG image, timing each operation and adding up the totals. This test is not as CPU-focused as Cinebench or Handbrake, bringing the performance of the storage subsystem, memory, and GPU into play.
The Predator Helios 300 and Legion 5i did better here mainly because of their higher-clocked Core i7-10750H chips, which top out at 5.1GHz; the Ryzen 7 4800H reaches just 4.2GHz. The "bursty" Photoshop test tends to reward machines that can ramp processing-intensive tasks up and down quickly. Nonetheless, the Alpha 15 still makes a powerful photo-editing platform.
Graphics Tests
Our first two benchmarks in this section measure the gaming performance potential of a PC. In UL's 3DMark, we run the Sky Diver (lightweight, capable of running on integrated graphics) and Fire Strike (more demanding, for high-end gaming PCs) subtests, both DirectX 11-based. Our other gaming simulation, Unigine Corp.'s Superposition, uses a different rendering engine to produce a complex 3D scene.
The Alpha 15 and Omen 15 slugged it out, though the Alpha took the lead in 3DMark Fire Strike. However, the Superposition 1080p benchmark shows their GPUs are neck and neck. Both were far ahead of the Bravo 15.
Next, we'll try some real games. We use the built-in 1080p benchmarks of Far Cry 5 (at its Normal and Ultra presets) and Rise of the Tomb Raider (at its Medium and Very High presets). Far Cry 5 uses DirectX 11, while we flip Rise of the Tomb Raider to DirectX 12.
The stalemate between the Alpha 15 and Omen 15 continued; it's clear that the Radeon RX 5600M and GeForce GTX 1660 Ti are well-matched. The GeForce RTX-equipped Predator and Legion performed slightly better.
As far as Intel versus AMD goes, the Core i7-10750H is just as capable of gaming as the Ryzen 7 4800H, though the AMD chip's two extra cores can be advantageous for livestreaming or recording gaming sessions. It's undoubtedly an all-around faster CPU.
Impressively, the Alpha 15 didn't get more than lukewarm on its top and bottom throughout my gaming sessions. Its processor and graphics card also stayed under their maximum rated temperatures—the Ryzen 7 4800H topped 86 degrees C while the Radeon RX 5600M reached just 68 degrees C.
That said, I wish the fans were quieter. It was easy to pick out the noise from across my living room while the Alpha 15 was running full tilt.
Battery Rundown Test
For our last benchmark, we measure a laptop's unplugged runtime while playing a locally stored video with screen brightness at 50 percent and audio volume at 100 percent. We use the notebook's energy-saving rather than balanced or other power profile where available, turn off Wi-Fi, and even disable keyboard backlighting to squeeze as much life as possible out of the system.
The Omen 15 lasted another hour, but the nearly nine hours of the Alpha 15 is an excellent time for a 15.6-inch gamer. MSI deserves a shout-out for vastly improving the battery life versus last year's model, which lasted barely five hours in this same scenario.
Well-Priced AMD Power, Take Two
MSI's refreshed Alpha 15 is a much stronger performer with its eight-core Ryzen CPU and Radeon RX 5600M graphics card, as it's now able to go toe-to-toe with GeForce GTX 1660 Ti notebooks. It offers high-end features not often seen at its price point—a 144Hz FreeSync Premium screen and per-key RGB backlit keyboard—and showed impressive stamina in our battery test.
It's a little chunky and could use quieter cooling fans, but its low price makes those downsides easier to digest. Well-priced and well-rounded, the Alpha 15's value torch continues to burn brightly among upper-entry-level gaming laptops.

What next? Here are some popular questions :
How do we book you?
A $1500 retainer with a signed contract is required to book your date. 50% of your balance will be due ninety days before your event, with the balance due one month prior to your wedding.
Please know that dates book quickly, and we cannot hold dates without signed contracts and paid retainers. For this reason, dates are first-come, first-served!
Can we talk more? Can we customize a collection other than what we see here?
Absolutely. I’m available to meet in person at my studio in Brooklyn. We can also set up a FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom meeting if that’s easier for you and your schedule. We can also always hop on the phone and chat that way, if you prefer!
Collections are completely customizable. If you have a certain number of hours you need on your wedding day, a specific album (or multiple albums) that you want, and wish to create a unique collection you can absolutely do that. We’re here to make sure that your day is covered in the best way possible, and to provide you with the exact products you’d like to display those images later.
We don’t see videography on your price list. How much is that?
I am a still photographer only. Once you book with me, I will send you a list of videographers who work beautifully alongside me to create work with a similar feel in lighting, composition, storytelling, and client experience. It’s crucial that your photographer and videographer have a similar style and approach, and the companies that I refer are masters in their field!
Can we see galleries from weddings at our venue?
While I do share images on social media from most of the events I photograph, I do not open up all client galleries to the public. I take the privacy of my clients’ entire galleries very seriously, and therefore all galleries are not open for public view. I have curated a wide range of galleries for you to look through, and I hope these give you a deeper insight into my work and process.

Outside summer beach wedding and portraits, outside tented dinner, indoor reception

Do you have associates?
Victor, Kamila, and Amanda are all incredible photographers. If you are interested in learning more about their rates, please let me know. Their coverage begins at $2,900 for six hours of photography
What is the difference between an assistant and a second photographer?
My assistant is with me at every wedding that I photograph. They help with parts of the day, such as aiding in getting family formal photographs together, helping keep the day organized, helping light parts of the reception, and more. They are accomplished photographers who also add their coverage of the day to key elements, most noticeably other angles on the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
A second photographer is a dedicated photographer only. Their only job is photography coverage of the day. Adding a second photographer is helpful if you’re getting ready in a completely separate location from your spouse, if your wedding is very large (over five hundred guests), if there are multiple religious ceremonies taking place at once, and so forth. Not sure if you need a second photographer? Just ask! I’d love to hear about your day and help you decide if another photographer is something you should add to your collection.
What else should we know?
I know this is a thrilling time, but I also know that wedding planning can be incredibly complicated and time-consuming. For this reason, I’ve made my rates as simple as possible. You can stay simple, or build a collection to suit your needs. We’re here to help you do just that!
Please do not hesitate to email me or call the studio at 917-209-8425. I’d love to set up a time to chat further. I would love to be a part of your wedding day, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences hosts wellness event
After recently re-launching sales, Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences hosted an event to highlight the project’s health and wellness features.
The Singer Island project is underway at 3100 North Ocean Drive with a completion date set for late 2019. It’s being developed by Dilip Barot, who previously said he plans to have on-site “health assistants” for residents.
Other projects with similar health-centric services include Lionheart Capital’s Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach. Over the summer, the developer, and partner Elliott Management Corp., announced it plans to team up with South Beach Diet founder Dr. Arthur Agatston to offer buyers a yearlong membership to a medical concierge service.
Coastal Construction celebrates new Thomas P. Murphy UM building
Coastal Construction Group celebrated the completion of the new Thomas P. Murphy Design Studio Building at the University of Miami School of Architecture.
The 20,000-square-foot building was built in dedication to Murphy – an avid donor to the university. He founded the construction firm in 1988. The building was designed by Arquitectonica and built by Coastal Construction. The company recently signed a $600 million contract with Trump Group to complete The Estates at Acqualina in Sunny Isles Beach.
Florida East Coast Realty participates in United Way event
Florida East Coast Realty participated in a panel discussion hosted by United Way, Tocqueville Tuesday and Young Leaders Conversation with Leaders in downtown Miami.
At the event, the Hollo family shared professional and personal life lessons, including the importance of work-life balance, according to a press release. Florida East Coast Realty developed the apartment building Panorama Tower, which at 85 stories is currently the tallest building in the state.
In a recent interview with The Real Deal, FECR President Jerome Hollo said more than half of the building’s 821 units are rented.

Gaming Laptops: Acer Predator 15
Acer has been known for making great gaming laptops, and the Predator 15 is definitely ready to continue that trend. Laptops continually change components to lower prices or to ramp up performance. The Acer Predator 15 has seen many different component changes during its life cycle. This latest gaming laptop iteration sports a fresh GPU by means of the just recently released, thin-and-light video gaming laptops darling, Nvidia's GTX 1060. The downside is, this Predator is not thin-and-light, wearing a almost indistinguishable design set alongside the previous generation. It's somewhat odd, as the complete idea of the GTX 1060 is the fact it works cool enough to permit smokin' gaming performance in a comparatively thin framework, especially set alongside the previous era of Maxwell-outfitted notebook computers. MSI designed its Stealth laptop with the same CPU and GPU that weighs in at just four pounds. You will discover benefits of larger gaming laptops, a higher-capacity power supply, a far more spacious keyboard; much larger, quieter fans, and a lot of room for components. However the idea that Acer didn't remove any weight set alongside the predecessor is a genuine head-scratcher.
Design The Acer Predator will come in two sizes--15 inches and 17 inch--that are otherwise practically identical. Because of this review we'll be concentrating on the 15-in . model, whose sleek, rubberized plastic shell looks cool and does an excellent job of repelling fingerprints. It's huge: 15 ins wide and 12 inches deep, and simply a smidge over 8 pounds, excluding its sizable power brick. The 17-in . model is 1.1 pounds heavier. The Predator 15 has room to free for a full-sized key pad, with several gaming-centric features such as an LED remove about the trackpad, red tips for WASD and directional arrows, and undoubtedly, customizable RGB backlighting. Additionally you get 15 hotkeys. The island-style secrets are incredibly easy to type with, and that is from the mechanical keyboard enthusiast. The top body of the Acer Predator 15 means there's a great deal of room for slots privately. The right-side plug-ins add a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C connection, two USB 3.0 Type A, full-size HDMI, full-size DisplayPort, and Gigabit ethernet, plus a Kensington lock slot machine game. The left aspect offers two more USB 3.0 Type A jacks, headphone and mike jacks, an Sdcard audience, and a detachable optical drive. You could swap out the optical drive for yet another fan known as Predator FrostCore--the drive produces easily by moving a activate the laptop's underbelly--but the excess fan's not essential. Rounding out the features is a 2.1 speakers Acer phone calls SoundPound 2.1. Acer records in its marketing materials that the framework design was influenced by "intergalactic battlecruisers," and it shows, especially in the aggressive-looking grilles with red accents. Personally, i think Acer has achieved an extremely nice design balance: A couple of enough cues to inform you it's a system, but it isn't so over-the-top that this looks ridiculous.
Beneath the Hood All gaming laptops are designed from the same hardware buffet, just combined and matched relating to their price. The Predator 15 has a quad-core Intel Skylake Main i7-6700HQ with Hyper-Threading, which operates at 2.6GHz but can enhance completely up to 3.5GHz. The GTX 1060 has 6GB of GDDR5 RAM. A laptop this solid could provide a GeForce GTX 1070, but one nice side-effect of the under-sized GPU is noises. Under heavy design tons, the Predator 15's supporters are relatively tranquil, and the key pad relatively cool. You can find two drives for storage space: a 256GB Lite-On SSD for the Operating-system, and a 1TB HGST rotating drive for data and programs. Lite-On is most likely a brandname most associated with budget optical drives from the move of the hundred years. Nowadays, it's an enormous player in OEM SSDs. Within a performance-oriented laptop, however, it's an uncomfortable fit. From the SATA-based M.2 instead of PCIe, and they have rather slow sequential write performance, striking just 308MBps in CrystalDiskMark. Consolation award: It's easy to get at for upgrades. The 16GB of DDR4/2400 ram, on the other side, is pre-installed therefore you can't get access to it easily. However, there are two vacant RAM slot machines underneath an easily detachable access panel.
Predator Gaming Laptops Guts You can include Memory to the Predator 15, and gain access to the M.2 SSD and the HDD. Rounding out the hardware construction is a 15.6-inches IPS panel that supports G-Sync. It has a matte surface finish, which is valued. Look a lttle bit closer and you will notice its 60Hz refresh rate. Notebook computers have dwelt at 75Hz for quite a while, with some recent sections reaching 120Hz. On desktops, it's common to see 144MHz and higher. Numerically, 60Hz appears low, but it's experienced, especially with G-sync, which is pretty awesome to own once your GPU begins to get beyond its leading. Internet connection is provided by Killer DoubleShot Expert, that provides a wired interconnection or dual-band 2x2 MU-MIMO wireless 80211.AC. The webcam offers 1280x720 image resolution, and the complete package carries a two-year warrantee and usage of a passionate support line simply for Predator products. The closest systems to the Predator will be the just lately revamped Alienware 13 and the MSI GS63VR Stealth. Both systems are about $400 more costly than the Predator 15, but have the very same CPU and GPU, so performance should be similar. Battery Life We understand that battery life isn’t the highest priority for a gaming laptop, as it’ll be plugged in for most of its existence. Because these behemoths typically rock XXL batteries, they can typically run long enough to watch a movie or two. To test battery life we simply loop a 4K video with the laptop in airplane mode, which is mildly strenuous and a reasonable indicator of runtime if you actually were playing a movie on a flight. The Predator 15 lasted for four hours and one minute. We could say that's average for a high-powered gaming machine and leave it at that, but there's more to this result. With that much heft the Predator should surely outlast an skinny little thing like the Stealth, but that MSI competitor ran just three minutes less in our rundown test. The Predator’s also not as long-lasting as a semi-gaming machine like the XPS 15. For a blinged-out rig with a lot of horsepower, the Predator’s battery life could be better. Conclusion In the final tally the Predator 15 in this particular configuration is pretty affordable for a GTX 1060 gaming laptop at $1,699. Aside from the SATA-based SSD the only notable shortcut is the retreaded chassis from the previous generation. Say what you will, but these compromises have allowed Acer to offer the most affordable version of this particular configuration that we’ve seen so far—$400 less expensive than the Alienware 13 and the MSI Stealth, though significantly larger than both of those machines. The Predator 15 may be chunky, but it offers first-rate performance, runs cool and quiet for the most part, and looks pretty darn sweet. It offers similar performance and attention to detail as much more expensive laptops, making it an overall strong value. Click to Post

Yoshiyasu Mizuno uses sharply angled roof to disguise scale of Terada House
A steep wooden roof covers the staggered levels of this family house in the Japanese city of Fujieda by architect Yoshiyasu Mizuno, concealing its full scale from certain angles.
Designed for a couple and their two children in Japan's Shizuoka Prefecture, Terada House occupies a square-shaped plot that abuts an existing residence.
From the street the house appears to have a three levels, but Mizuno sloped the roof down to one storey at the rear so as not to overwhelm its neighbour.
The roof ridge runs diagonally across the square plan of the house, changing its profile from different aspects. The pitch on the north-west side is much steeper for example, than when viewed from the north-east approach.
Inside, the exposed wooden beams extend at opposing angles, representing the change in pitch.
"Our idea was to determine a volume that does not overwhelm the existing house or surroundings, as well as providing an interior space that is comfortable, open, and secure at the same time," explained Mizuno.
"By seeking a good balance between the effort to reduce the volume of architecture in consideration for the surrounding environment and the desire to increase the interior space, we aimed to create architecture with the high spatial density," he added.
Spaces are arranged in a variety configurations up the stepped levels, with open stair treads and balustrades creating views between them.
On the ground floor, the entrance to the house is on the northwest facade. Bypassing the central staircase leads to the main living space.
The open-plan kitchen and dining room are placed diagonally across the room. Glass sliding doors open to a triangular-shaped courtyard placed under an opening in the lowest part of the roof.
A wooden kitchen island topped with a white counter extends from the far end of the other diagonal wall – which has a toilet tucked behind. More cabinets are placed along the back wall.
The living space, located around the corner, has a window that faces out onto the street. From here, a set of sliding doors open to a Japanese-style room.
The staircase has wooden treads and a handrail made up of thin batons lead up to the study area, which is set in a nook between levels. The space is kitted out with wooden shelving and a desk that lines up with the first floor above.
On this level, a second living area opens to a balcony overlooking the courtyard below. The master bedroom and family bathroom occupy the street-facing side.
The children's room is placed on the final and smallest floor, set right in the apex of the roof. Long wooden shelves run the full length of the room, and also act as a banister to the living space below.
Mizuno, whose past projects include a raw concrete office block for fish-processing plant and a triangular house with a sheltered outdoor cooking area, chose a simple material palette for the interiors.
Pale wooden flooring offsets the darker tones of the roof structure. Both the shorter roof ridge and the interiors walls on the southern side are painted grey.
