I think I’ve created a Bakugan: New Vestroia AU, where Julie, Runo and Alice makes it back to New Vestroia. I believe this was a substitute to my subconcious mind due to the lack of presence of the girls in the second season (and probably an excuse to draw them with different hairstyles and outfits). I call it the ‘Bakubabes AU’ because it’s what they are. I made these to have outfit reference for Julie and Runo.

Everytime he did achieve a new milestone in his mere toddler years, excitement followed by applause for doing such a good job would be rewarded, and it would bring about a smile to his chubby face. Such development was so highlighted in your household that you needed to send the videos of your son’s achievements to his father and your husband, Uzumaki Naruto. The man was always buried deep into the piles of work he has to do on a daily basis that he is rarely ever home on time to see his son work through his life in the flesh.

Today, your son was running around the living room and uttering complete nonsense with every step he took. You were taking videos of the entire thing because of how cute and adorable his face contorted, especially whenever he encountered something new in his peripherals. As you were sending some of the videos of your morning with your son to Naruto, your son invited himself to stand in your lap and reached his tiny, stubby hand out in an attempt to take your phone. It has come to your attention that recently, your son was able to realize that any connection he had with his father would be done through the phone, and it saddened you whenever he did this. So rather than connecting a face call with Naruto, you turned off your phone and cupped your hands underneath your son’s arms to lift him into your own arms as you stood up from your seat on the carpeted floor.

“Let’s go visit, Dada. How do you like the sound of that, S/N?” you asked whilst you walked over to his bedroom with him held in your arms. Glancing over at your son, he began to clap his hands excitedly and giggle tremendously with the occasional Dada uttering from his pinky lips. It was enough to bring a smile of your own to your lips.

As soon as you arrived at your son’s bedroom, you walked over to the closet and began sifting through the tiny hangers holding his equally tiny clothes. To be honest, you couldn’t decide which outfit to go for today since it was such an impromptu act of yours to go to the office to see your husband. However, it looks like you didn’t need to put any more effort into picking an outfit. You looked down at your son to find his hands fisted aggressively onto a particular outfit he was gifted recently by your parents. “You want to wear this one?” you asked, reaching out for his hand to release his tight hold on the fabric. His response was just a couple of noises coming from his mouth as well as some light giggles. Chuckling, you took the hanger off of the bar and walked over to the bed to set it down.

The outfit consisted of a red sweater with a Daffy Duck image pressed on in the center of it paired with some light grey sweats that had the same character printed on one of the legs near the ankle. It took a couple of minutes to get your son dressed and looking cute, and once his clothes were snug on his body, you picked him right back up and set him down on the floor for him to play with his toys whilst you prepared a bag for him.

Once everything was set for him, you took him into your room, along with his bag and everything essential, and began to look for an outfit yourself. Little feet padded against the wooden floor, prompting you to look down at your two year old son who had one of his plushies in a tight grip. You watched him walk into your closet and reach a tiny finger out to point at a significantly beautiful, modest dress. Taking it off of the hanger, you let your eyes roam down its entire length. The white dress was up to your calves in length, and it was short sleeved and decorated with light blue flowers all over it. It was the perfect dress for a hot summer day like today.

After getting changed, you hold your son in your arms and both his and your things, beginning to exit the house and head for the large, white SUV in the driveway of your smallish home. As soon as your son was secure in his carseat, you sat down in the driver’s seat and proceeded to start driving in reverse to get off the driveway before beginning to head over to your husband’s workplace.

Arriving at the large, glass covered office building, you had your son in your arms once more as you were allowed onto the floor where your husband resided. Walking up to his receptionist, the light clicking of your heels against the tiled flooring was enough for the woman to look up and awe at the little boy in your arms. “Hi, Y/N! Oh my goodness, S/N has grown a lot since I last saw him. How are you doing?” the receptionist asked, looking up at you. “We’re doing great, thank you for asking. Is Naruto in right now?” you questioned, creasing your brows with concern.

“Oh, yes, yes. He’s been in his office all morning working on some complicated corporate contracts and stuff, but with you here I hope he will take a break for a while, especially with his cute son!” she exclaimed, smiling at the giggling boy in your arms.

After thanking the receptionist, you walked past her desk, arriving at the double, dark wooden doors which were the only things separating you from the man inside of the room. You pushed open the door and peeked your head inside, your eyes landing on the hunched over figure at the desk. You further opened the door, and by the sounds of the creaking doors shutting behind you, Naruto looked up from his complicated paperwork and widened his eyes at the sight of you with his son. With a smile on your face, you walked over to his desk, and in an instant, Naruto got up and took both you and his son into a warm, loving hug with his arms wrapping tightly around your waist.

Naruto pulled away and pressed a kiss to your forehead before taking your son in his hands, lifting him up high in the air. You watched your husband bring down your son to his face and fluttered lots of little kisses over his chubby cheeks.

“You know he was reaching for my phone because he wanted to spend some time with you, Naruto,” you stated, walking up to your boys. Naruto glanced over S/N’s shoulder and over at you with his widened, ocean blue eyes. You reached a hand up to brush back some of the bright blonde strands of your son’s hair, but the little boy kept fiddling with the collar of his father’s dress shirt. “He really misses his father,” you whispered, looking up to meet Naruto’s gaze.

Naruto’s eyes dotted down at his son’s pout on his lips, and a sudden wave of emotion crashed into his mind, replacing his confused expression with a slight frown. He sighed and turned to look over at the crowded desk that was occupied by many corporate documents and contracts needed to be signed.

“You know what, Y/N? I think it is lunchtime, and I know just where we should go,” Naruto said, looking over at you. A smile instantly came to your lips, and a small giggle came out of your mouth when you looked over at your son’s exaggerated and widened eyes. His tiny hand was clutched onto Naruto’s dress shirt, and his E/C eyes stared directly into his father’s contrasting, shining eyes. “Ramen?” S/N mumbled in a hopeful way.

“Now see, this is my son, Y/N. Come on, let’s go before the lunch rush settles in!” Naruto exclaimed, carefully throwing S/N up in the air twice. The little boy’s giggles never surpassed as Naruto carefully sat him onto his shoulders with one hand holding onto one of his legs and another held out in front of you. “Ah, yes, my ramen loverboys,” you joked, taking Naruto’s hand and letting him drag you out of the office.

Another event with the Konoha Simps has begun! The two-year anniversary of the server is coming up and we're doing another week-long event! And this year we're opening it up to all of you. Each day will have a different theme and will be released starting on 4/10/2022 @ 12am EST. Once the masterlist for each day is dropped feel free to claim characters!

Dates: June 30th-July 6th

Overall Rules:

The anniversary collab will be open for any fandom. We will be allowing you to choose whomever you would like, and we will sort everything by fandom on the masterlist for each separate day!

Each day of the week will have a different theme/AU for everyone to follow in their art/writing and you’re welcome to have creative control as long as you follow the theme/AU.

Feel free to share the post for the collab around wherever you’d like! All requests to join can be sent right to this blog! Just be sure to let me know what character you'd like and for which day.

We can have up to three repeats of the same character per fandom in this year's anniversary collab that way we can have more of a variety! We’re hoping this will help make choices for people a little easier.

OC characters are accepted for each day and theme, but keep in mind that there's an entire day dedicated to that as well!

Each day can have a different character and since this won’t be beginning until the 30th of June we’ll be spacing out the character choices so that everyone can have a chance at getting the character that they want. Below the cut will be the schedule for when we release the masterlist for the day so that people can begin making choices.

There is no word count for any of the writing pieces. They can be headcanons, drabbles, full-length pieces, whatever your heart desires!

This is open to both writing pieces and art pieces so if you know a friend that might be interested give them a shout!

If you'd like to be tagged in a reblog once the posts for each day have been added please send an ask or a DM to @/bakubabes-tatakae or comment on this post so that we can make sure that you can be notified to pick your characters.

Day 1: June 30th "Domesticity": Give us all the domestic stuff that you can think of with the character of your choice! (Released 4/10/2022)

Day 2: July 1st "Hurt/Comfort": The typical character gets hurt by something and is comforted by another character. (Released 4/11/2022)

Day 3: July 2nd "Friends/Enemies to Lovers": You can pick either option and do with it as you please! (Released 4/12/2022)

Day 4: July 3rd "Betrayal": The only thing that we ask for with these writing pieces is that we don’t have a happy ending with them. The betrayal needs to be lasting. (Released 4/13/2022)

Day 5: July 4th "OC Day/Free Day": If you don’t have an OC to write or draw a piece for then this is a free day! Feel free to do as you please with it! (Released 4/14/2022)

Day 6: July 5th "Kinks": You can write for one kink, multiple kinks, and DC is allowed here, just make sure it is tagged properly or those pieces will not be added to the taglist. (Released 4/15/2022)

Personality and Brawling style mini-analysis: Team V

I thought, it would be an interesting touch to have a look on, how the personalities of the players affect their brawling styles and have some words on attributes and roles. So I made some free-lance analysis / short description based on mostly their canon depiction - filled in with some headcanon elements.

Let's see, what we've got on Team Vexos:

Volt, the 'Loyal and undecivable'

Lync, the 'Mischievous kiter’

Mylene, the 'Smart and sly'

Shadow, the 'Goofy but dangerous'

Gus, the 'Stable database'

(This is part of the BakuBabes AU.)

This analysis has a rather serious tone, concentrating on the personality-brawling style - attribute - role correspondence, just as the Vexos members don't consider each other friends ('Our relationship is strictly professional.').

Volt

After playing with Brontes for some time, Volt's brawling strength revolves around tricks and illusions. He is an expert at bluffing and playing along with Brontes's jester-tricks. Volt is also the best at detecting and seeing through enemy foolery due to understanding how common illusions work. It's generally hard to deceive him, plays clean and tries to think with a cool head ( He is not all muscle-brain. )

Volt's played attribute is Haos, which reflects his inner character: To the outside he seems tough and intimidating, but inside he has a heart of gold. The light embodies his correct morals. This makes him refusing (or at least despising if he has) to cheat or using methods going against the rules. (Tricking opponents and using illusions are just deceiving, but not prohibited.)

The Vexos can be actually thankful to have Volt playing as their main Support. He is the least careless about the other members and he is willing to work together with the others.

Lync

Lync's style consist of waiting out and 'swooping in for the kill'. No coincidence he plays Ventus attribute: The given agility helps evading enemy attacks, the air-advantage allows his monsters to kite and tire out enemies for an easier takedown (mastering this tactic is what made him the best Ventus player of Vestal/New Vestroia) Despite his big mouth and mischievous attitude, he actually tries concealing his insecurities (stemming from a mild inferiority complex). In a team, Lync tends to do things just to show off or fall into overconfidence, misjudging his control over the situation. Lync's play - in a teamfight scenario - requires set up and support from his teammates, and it doesn't have a consistent output.

Lync plays as a Damage dealer mainly because he refuses to play any other supportive role. Putting out damage and getting takedowns is flashier and more satisfying in his opinion.

From a personality and brawling style perspective, putting Volt and Lync into a duo makes sense:

Volt is the solid ground for Lync's fluctuating performance to have a safe grip on. Just to live with a metaphor: Volt is the ‘anchor’ and Lync is the ‘kite’. Volt's battle presence creates a surface for Lync to shut down opponents and carry the game forward. Occasionally Volt is the one, who pulls Lync back down to the ground, if he was about to overestimate his capabilities.

Shadow

His mild insane behaviour makes Shadow unpredictable and this is, where his strenght lies: Using out the intimidation rooting in the opponent 'fear of the unknown'. (This is something, which he doesn't even do 100 % consciously, making him even more terrifying to play against.) He is dramatic, bickery, and likes to have fun through both intimidating and annihilating enemies.

Generally whiny and goofy, but when it comes down to brawling, he hits hard. Shadow is the most likely to pull insane moves or letting his monster dangerously overextend. Similarly to Lync, he is keen on showing off (mainly to prove Mylene, he is not all that useless), but this might backfire at his team - for his bad luck.

Just like darkness itself, unpredictable and mysterious, his played main attribute is Darkus (he, thinks it’s ‘edgy and cool and dangerous’). Plays offensive Dps for fun.

Mylene

Mylene is the master tactician of the team. She is smart and sly, her mentality is all about being 'practical' : Don't waste time, eliminate fast and smooth, be effective, finish quick. No place for emotions or mercy. She is hard-edged and resourceful.

Although her main focus is to capitalize on opportunities mainly for herself, she realised, that using the effort and force of a group of people instead of 'going solo' helps her reaching her own selfish goals faster and easier. Mylene plays baseline well enough to not have to rely on others, but she is willing to work with them, if she has to.

Mylene's thinking is as versatile as the Aquos attribute. Like water, flexible, she always pulls to the direction which is the most beneficial for her and her goals. She might even sacrifice her own teammates for the victory. Mylene plays the 'dead accurate, cold blooded assassin' type Damage dealer and she is hella' good at it.

Gus

As Mylene is the tactical strategist, Gus is the game expert of the Vexos: He has a broad and extensive knowledge of the overall game, monsters, abilities, and all that. Like a database, he is informed and the one to turn to for information. (He embodies the same role as Alice on the Resistance's side.) He certainly knows, what he’s doing and has a rather serious play-tone on the battleground.

Subterra is a generally stable attribute, just like Gus: Playing tough, like the ground and outsmarting enemies using his knowledge not only enables him to hold out on his own, but makes him the second best brawler on the whole Vexos (Spectra being the number one). He plays frontline Tank due to Vulcan being his default battle partner.

Mylene and Gus would make a strong duo otherwise, for they are the main brains of their team. The reason Mylene and Shadow was eventually put together, is because a. Gus insists on partnering with Spectra (and doesn’t like Mylene, as a person that much anyway) and b. Mylene's and Shadow's brawling-dynamic actually works out on a similar basis the Volt-Lync duo does: Mylene's sharp edges give a frame for Shadow's unforetellable behaviour and her straightforward harshness turns and 'shepherds' Shadow's randomness into one direction.

Important note, that the Vexos are generally stronger in 1v1 scenarios: They may be the best brawlers of their given attribute in New Vestroia / Vestal, but their inner conflicts and incompatible personalities create a hard time for them, when it comes down to teamwork. (If they have an opportunity to make their enemies scattered, they will certainly live with it...)

Mylene, Gus and Volt are the ones, who insist on or willing to show sings of team effort spite of the contrary between the members of the Vexos. Lync and Shadow are less likely to play in a team, they rather follow an 'every man for himself' attitude.

Finally, Mylene and Gus are the main game-shotcallers of the team and Mylene is dominant enough to shift into the leader role (given Spectra's absence in this situation. Normally he is in charge to be the main leader of the Vexos).

And we roll out with another collab, this one is just a little bit different than anything we've done before. This time we're doing a little AU bingo! Our goal is to get the entire bingo board filled out and even then, if it's full and you still want to participate we'll be happy to start some double AU options! The only thing we don't want to have is double characters unless it's an art/writing collab.

If you decide a little way down the road that you'd like to change characters because the one that you have just isn't working out then please make sure to check the list and speak to one of the blogs above by October 10th. That's a week before the pieces are due so we'd like to cut it off there.

OC's are okay to use in pieces.

SFW and NSFW are both accepted. If you are including any NSFW themes at all please be sure to let one of the blogs listed above know so that we can mark the masterlist! And please be sure to include proper tagging for any potential triggers in your piece. We want to make sure that everything is tagged correctly for all potential readers safety.

Please make sure that your writing pieces are at least 1500+ words. You are more than welcome to do more, we just ask that that be the minimum. If you are having a hard time with getting to that please reach out to one of the above blogs so that we can talk about it. We are happy to help out in any way that we can! And we understand if you can't get to that amount, we just ask that people are as close to that as possible.

Art pieces should make sure that there are indicating factors to whatever AU they have chosen.

Pieces should be done by October 16th, you're welcome to post it earlier than that, but keep in mind that the masterlist won't be released until October 17th so it wont be linked until then. Their family bonding time is yoga time, with bouts of wrestling when the kids get bored n decide pouncing on their parents is more interesting than stretching lmao

Chieko isn't great with most typical sports, bc her fingerpads often get in the way. Nobody wants to play volleyball when the volleyball turns into a giant rock n comes rushing at your face

Boxing is also dangerous, for similar reasons. Luckily it was Kiri on the receiving end of her punch bc those boxing gloves were hard enough to chip his cheek n knock a tooth loose

Ochako n Kiri help Chieko find a style of fighting that keeps her quirk in mind, Ochako giving tips on how to keep her fingerpads off things n Kiri teaching her how to take advantage of her quirk when the time calls for it

She's got Kiri's Red Gauntlet down to an art form n Kiri will openly, and loudly, cry n cheer her on when she takes down people twice her height

I would say he's the embarrassing parent at soccer games, but he's not.

That's 100% Bakugou. He will make sure everyone knows just how awesome his kids are bc fuck you

Kishi is more into running sports, anything rough and competitive that gets his blood pumping n muscles screaming

He figures if he’s too tired to move he won’t have the energy to get angry at people.

Baku’s helping him manage his shit, but some days fucking suck y’know? Those days Kishi typically heads to the loud room to let off some steam, whether to scream it out or pound away on their drum kit, or both, is nobody’s business but his own

Also, they have cats. Two of them, the older being a Scottish Fold Chieko found while she was younger, instantly adopting it without the permission of her parents

The younger one is a Japanese bobcat that Kishi and Kiri brought home, much to Ochako n Baku’s dismay. Cats are expensive, and it’s rare for everyone to be home. Ochako didn’t want to adopt a(nother) cat if they couldn’t properly care for it

Turns out she had nothing to worry about, the bobcat gets plenty of exercise by climbing up Kiri n perching on his shoulder to freak out over his hair. He’s basically a walking perch with built in toys

Needless to say there are definitely a couple videos around the internet where the cat has climbed Kiri to swat at his ponytail, and the internet loses its mind
